70th Spring, 513AV

The sun was high which made it hot out. Savannah walked in the market place, she had to buy a simple thinks you would buy at the Market. Like food, clothing, jewerly... Ok well what women usely buy. To Savaanah it felt like hours being in the place. She forgot her money at home, but didn't feel like going back to get it. Who can I steal from?.. The smartest thing anyone would do is just going back and getting the money... But not Savannah. She leaned against the wall peering out seeing who would be the unlucky person today. It took almost an hour until she found a young man in her sights, he was looked to be about 20 years of age maybe younger, anc scruffy looking. Well here it goes.. She put pretended not to see him and ran into him. Savannah bumped his shoulder and had a suprise look on her face.
"I'm so Sorry are you ok?"

When and Where {Erekez}

Postby Erekez on April 22nd, 2013, 3:42 pm

The winter chill had long since disappeared, giving way to the freshness of spring throughout even the narrowest of paths within Zeltiva. Rain had become as common as sun, but later in the season resulted in days such as today, giving a glimpse of the summer that is to come carried on the breeze.

West street was full of shoppers and shopkeepers alike, absorbed in the chatter of friends, family and strangers. Plans were being made, deals were being bragged and times were being caught up on. In all this commotion, it was too easy to stop paying attention, and even easier to become a target for any thief with hands quicker than a shopper's eye.

Erekez looked down at his left forearm. One of his newest scars stood proud still from the beginning of the season. He had not done well with thieves in Zeltiva, but when there was a cult to the Goddess of thieves, it was to be expected that there was going to be a few who knew what they were doing. He'd been jumped a few times. Even fewer had been successful in getting something.

I'm not sure what makes me stand out.

Footsteps preceded a great force hitting him in the shoulder. Erekez had to spin with the hit to stop himself falling over. Flailing his arms about, attempting to get some sort of balance going again, he managed to get his footing as he looked over at whatever hit him. His shoulder was sore now.

A woman stood behind him, looking concerned. He stared at her for a moment, considering the possible reasons this woman had for not watching where she was going. Then he realised, it didn't make a difference and he didn't really care.

At least she apologised for it.

"No harm done. It might be beneficial to watch where you're running, for your own and another's sake." He turned and continued on his way. "Take care."

When and Where {Erekez}

Postby Erekez on April 23rd, 2013, 3:13 pm

It was time to get out of the market. Erekez had walked the entire area and hadn't found anything he needed for the time being, neither was there anything that had caught his interest. There was always the occasional thing that had needed replacing, coalsticks, ink, lantern oil, but nothing today. His stomach was growling, it was probably time to get something to eat.

Dread began to take hold of him as he put his hand in the pocket where his money should've been. Only a few dozen silvers and coppers sat in his hand as he checked what was left. Shoving the change back into his pocket, Erekez patted himself down, checking everywhere he could've misplaced it. It was nowhere. The only money he had left on him was the few coins that hadn't been in the coin bag.

That woman!

Erekez removed his cloak hastily as he moved to the side of the street, grabbing a handful of the material in his right. He needed to calm his mind as to see the images that he would be shown. After some steady breathing, Erekez decided not to try.

How many people have brushed my shoulders when walking through a crowded street?

The truth was there would be too many contributions on his cloak for his gnosis mark to be of any use to him. A name or race was most likely, and what use would either of those be? A race wasn't going to help much as she looked human, and how was he going to decide whose name was hers?

Erekez grit his teeth as he realised she was gone. He couldn't even remember enough details to waste the Wave Guards time with a description. He trudged off, replacing his cloak as he moved.

There were more people around the World's End than usual today. Apparently there was some sort of performance happening later. Erekez wasn't in the mood to care. He looked down at the meal he had bought, feeling like his stomach had dropped further with the added weight. It had been a good meal though.

He held the fork in his hand, casually turning it as he tried to block out the chatter from others. He'd been trying for ten chimes now, concentrating on the fork as it rotated.

About twenty gold mizas were in that bag. It was just as well that he had separated a smaller amount of coin from the rest that he kept in his backpack. He had too many run-ins with would-be thieves to not consider making in more difficult for them. In his pocket seemed easy. At the bottom of his backpack or saddlebag under everything else was a bit more difficult. Good luck not making any noise, or making a scene with a horse.

A small smile managed to tug at his lips as he saw the blackness of a shield beginning to creep up the length of the fork, blocking out all light.

In a few more chimes, the fork was covered by the light-blocking shield. It was one of the few ways he could practice shielding without the urgency of time in a battle, and it produced a visible result. He didn't much fancy asking anyone to throw djed at a possibly faulty shield in the hopes it blocked it and he could see it doing so. He could barely shape his own at the moment.

Some of the fork showed through the blackness where holes had been in his shield, and other patches that just looked misty instead of solid. It was quite a bad attempt, but at least it worked. He still needed to train.

"Could you stop that please? Some patrons get very uneasy around magic." The waitress leaned over to take his empty plate and mug, beckoning for the fork.

"Sorry." The shield disappeared as he handed back the fork.

Ordering another drink, Erekez took to trying to form another shield around his head, attempting to block out sound. He felt like sitting in silence with his own thoughts for the moment.

When and Where {Erekez}

Savannah had a big smile on her face. Anyone could see how happy she was and how much pride she had. It was getting darker, let the games begin.. at night she became different she wasn't she why but she did. Maybe the foe inside her wanted to boil up on her. The performance wasn't starting until closer to midnight. So Savannah made her way to the tavern, she felt a small bad feeling but, decided to be fun. What is the point of being safe? When you can have fun! She sat down at a table in the corner of the tavern. And hopping she wasn't noticed as well just in case to make another steal.

On his right, it sounded like he held his hand against his ear. On the left, he could hear almost everything he had beforehand. There must've been a hole in the shield again. Grumbling to himself, Erekez stopped feeding any more djed into the shield. Whilst it was unlikely for him to overgive with such a small shield after a small amount of time, he was still a novice and wasn't entirely certain about it. Besides, there was no point risking it if it wasn't doing its job in the first place.

He sat, in his own silence, listening to the noises coming from around. He wasn't sure what he was doing moping around in World's End anyway, it wasn't doing to do him any good.

Let me mope! I can't be bothered doing anything else!

That's very mature. One bag of gold out of the rest and you want to do nothing more than wallow in self-pity. Erekez sighed. He'd need to come up with something better than hiding his money in several different places in his backpack, saddlebag and pockets. It was effective in reducing the amount that thieves could steal, unless they ran off with your backpack or saddlebag. Erekez needed to find somewhere to leave his coin so he didn't have to worry so much about being stolen from any more.

Grabbing his cloak and throwing it over his shoulders, Erekez stood up to leave, until someone new walked through the door. The woman who stole from him earlier. He sat back down as she went over to a corner of the building. If he didn't make it obvious, she wouldn't notice him in the crowd. He couldn't do anything now with the crowd around, but he sat and watched her.

He'd follow her when she left. Hopefully to corner her and get his coin back.

Savannah got bord after alittle while at the tavern. after about 5 mintues of being their she walk out. it was a little cold outside the tavern, cold enough to make her bottle her self up. It seemed to take much more time until midnight were all the fun would happen, but she had her ways for having fun. Depending on her moods. after awhile of walking around the city, Savannah felt like someone was following her. She turned but pertended like something was on her shoe, then glance up a few times. She saw a man in a cloak staring at her, Well thats npt creepy at all...

She began to walk again but faster, and started walking in the dark alleys, and tried to hid herself in the shadows, then she turned in to her little tanish gray fox, and ran, Hehe! He can't catch me now!.. she ran until there was a brick wall in front of her which she almost smacked her face into, Damnit!! Now Savannah was in a panic.

It wasn't long before she got up again. Erekez smiled as he realised it was to leave. Now would be the time to try. It was late, people were drunk. If he was careful, nothing would interrupt.

As the door shut behind her, Erekez threw his cloak over his shoulders and grabbed his bow as he got up. He didn't know who to sneak. It must've been a lot more complicated than quieting his footsteps, but he needed to keep her in sight first, whether she saw him or not. He slipped out of the door and into the cool air of Leth's light.

Erekez noticed her hair as he stepped out into the night. Brighter colours tended to be more obvious regardless of how much light was around. He kept a steady pace behind her as he followed down the street. She wasn't going to get away that easily. He didn't plan on allowing it.

She bent over to check her shoe, got up and started walking faster.

She must've noticed me.

He grit his teeth, concealing a grunt of annoyance as he picked up his pace. He followed her through numerous alleys, finding it difficult to keep up with her. Erekez tried to concentrate on how he was running. Instead of letting his entire foot touch the ground before kicking off again, he began springing of the tips of his feet. It probably wasn't ideal, and he didn't even know if it was going to help as he tried to regulate his breathing also.

Doing both consciously at the same time is a pain!

He thought he had lost her when he noticed the swirls of light coming from one of the alleyways. He had seen enough of those lights to realise it was a kelvic transformation. He ran down that alley, seeing a little, dark-furred creature exiting the other end.

Sprinting, he readied his bow as he exited the alley, noticing the kelvic panicking against a wall. He drew the arrow back and approached.

"If I can hit a deer in the Wildlands through the foliage, think about how easy it would be for me to hit you from this distance." It was a threat, one that probably wasn't needed when an arrow was drawn back and ready to release.

Erekez hoped that this was the kelvic and he hadn't just let the thief get away.

When and Where {Erekez}

Savannah saw the bow he had in his hands, the moon was lighting up this alley they were in. She calmed herself quickly. She could only think of a few way to survive this and one was to remain calm. Her breaths were alittle heavy, Savannah turned back into her human form, she usually doesn't show her nakedness out in public, but she had an idea about getting away from him. So there she was standing before the cloaked man that wants to kill her naked hopping to take his mind off of killing her.

"Why do you want me dead?" Her voice was calm and she began to walk closer to the man cautiously. Her body had goose bumps all over. "I'm cold can you lend me your cloak," Savannah trying to per swayed the man now, she inch closer and closer hopping to knock him out and making a run for it.

When and Where {Erekez}

"You've had enough off of me for today." The shifting lights came and died shortly before the woman stood before him. He felt a small wave of relief as he recognised her as the one he had been chasing. Erekez's face heated further from watching the naked woman before him, and there were obvious signs about her last statement. Under normal circumstances, he had enough decency to turn away. Then again, normally, the woman hadn't just stolen a bag of money. "If you're as cold as you say you are, then shift back."

He had no intention of letting her get away. Her advancing forward wasn't exactly subtle either. Erekez watched her movements carefully, trying not to get distracted too much. His anger did wonders to help his concentration.

"I never said I wanted you dead. That causes problems for me." He spat. He had had enough of thieves in the city. "All I want is the money you stole from me earlier on West Street. Honestly, I don't really care what you do in your own time, as long as it doesn't affect me. Unfortunately for you, you have my money, I have a bow and arrow, and I'm a bit annoyed." His voice said he was more than a bit annoyed.

"So, do you want to give me back what you took? Or do I have to take things a bit further before escorting you to the Wave Guard?"

Men, women, if either did anything to Erekez, he'd respond in the same way to both. Gender wasn't a boundary to him.
