"Oi! Why you just sittin 'round?" Ricky looked up to see one of the crew members with his arms crossed, expression firm as though he were gettin onto a child. They had been sailing for almost two weeks now and while Ricky enjoyed the voyage greatly, it wasn't enough to subside his inner desire to turn around and head home. 'If only such a thing were possible.' He leaned up and struggled a bit until he finally managed to stand up, the hammock nearly twisted as the balance shifted with the change of his weight. "We need help raisin the mainsail again, after the gales hit yesterday."
"Aye aye." Ricky nodded with a slight grin, a small part of him felt a little proud to say that. It was the pride in knowing he was in the same footsteps his father took, the son of a sailor finally started to sail once again. The crew member went on ahead to the deck and Ricky slipped on his leather shoes, the ship slowly creaked and rocked with the sea as each wave that was tossed collided against it. It was when Ricky went on deck himself thht he got to experience the feel of the sea all around him once again, where the wind would blow the salty moisture in the air and envelope those who stood on deck. To a sailor this would be the kind of life to live everyday, and Ricky could actually understand why Hannah wouldn't have wanted to give up being a sailor. Yet he wanted to be elsewhere now, it was a place that had become the major part of his life; and that was the Wave Guard in Zeltiva he left behind. Sure he would return at some point, but Ricky wasn't sure how long that would be from now and with the way things looked; he could be gone for a long while.
All he could do was simply put on a faint smile, and enjoy what he could of this unexpected journey to find one person. He looked at the mainsail as several of the crew members where already at hand, and with a deep inhale to follow with an exhale he prepared himself for a little bit of work.
