Before the light of day made its regular entrance into the lives of those residing within Syliras, a single rider approached the City of Peace from the west. He had been riding for quite some time now: his journey originating in the city of Riverfall and culminating before the towering walls of the Human capital. What brought the violet-skinned rider to the gates of the esteemed city was pure curiosity. He had heard whispers about the nature of the capital, especially its prosperity and its capacity to welcome any and all to enter their midst. Furthermore, he was curious to see what the famous Sylirian Knights were like up close and personal. As such, the foreigner brought his faithful steed to a halt before the entrance of the city and was promptly questioned by the two guardsmen dutifully keeping watch. They inquired of his intentions and origins, of which he answered truthfully, and once satisfied they admitted him within the slumbering city.

The foreigner, a member of the Akalak race, made it his first priority to tend to the lodging of his steed immediately upon entering the deserted streets. He posed this question to the guardsmen and was promptly directed to the city's own stables. With that particular part of business taken care of, and the time being too early to pursue a meal, the warrior decided to return from whence he came in order to pursue an early morning workout. Once he had assured the guardsmen that he would return, informing them of his desire to go for a run in the land adjacent to the Fortress, the foreigner began to move. His footsteps were rapid, his motions were swift, and he burst forth from the gates of Syliras at a full-on sprint. He did not wish to go too far away from the Fortress, and as such his itinerary was to run a wide arc around the city.

As such, he sprinted as swiftly as his legs would bear him; as he had done time and time again. Whilst he ran, the light of day began to make its presence known to the City of Peace and dawn broke out across the region. The businesses and homes opened and the denizens of the city filed out into the streets. The foreigner, though outside the walls, could easily hear the growing hustle and bustle of the morning, and was a tad surprised to say the least. After several minutes had passed, the Akalak finished his sprint: having run from one side of the wall to the other several times before coming to a near halt before the gate. This had taken him quite awhile to accomplish, as the morning light was painfully apparent, and he had not quite gained the fortitude to sprint non-stop for such a span of time.

With his pace now slowed, the Akalak elevated his hands to rest atop his mass of ebony locks and walked about back and forth attempting to catch his breath. His plan was relatively simple past this point: stretch, practice, find an Inn.

Ethen Calden was happy with buying his Buckler, Kavinka Paintedmount horse. Ethen also carried his armor and a two handed sword on his back. With the fear of harassment from others, Ethen decided to train outside the walls. Ethen didn't walk far before approaching a man with a Midnight Violet skin and seem to be in his early thirties. "The man seems to be training, maybe he can help me train as well" thought Ethen. "Good morning kind sir. It seems that you been training. I hope to train too as well. Maybe we should train together" asked Ethen with a show of respect to the foreigner.

It's a Beautiful Morning.

Just as the violet-skinned warrior managed to catch his breath, a young voice addressed him. At this point in time, the warrior's back was turned to the wall of the city, and so the voice came from behind him; semi-startling the Akalak. He turned, lowering his hands from atop his head and placing them at his side, before regarding the boy before him with a raised eyebrow. To say the very least, Khal'iah was surprised. It wasn't everyday that a complete stranger asked to train with him. However, the foreigner was, above all else, a warrior and would be remiss to turn down any opportunity to train. After a moment of silence, Khal'iah offered the boy a warm smile and lowered his head in greeting: reciprocating the respect offered to him previously.

"Good morning to you as well young man," he began, elevating his head and folding his arms across his chest; as was his habit. "I'd be more than happy to train with you. I was actually about to stretch out and then run through some sword forms. Come, join me."

He motioned for the boy to come closer before turning his back on him once more. The Akalak then removed from his belt his main weapon, his longsword, and laid it upon the chilly ground. He left his Lakan upon his belt and the buckler that was tied upon the forearm of his offhand. For the exercises he had in mind, the longsword would only prove to get in the way just a tad. Without another word, the Akalak lurched forward and placed his hands upon the cold ground, then began to elevate himself up. It took a moment to get his legs just in the right position so that he didn't topple over, but once there he had a pretty decent handstand going.

"Come on, give it a try."

Ethen undress his armor and undid his weapon harness which was attached to Ethen's scabbard and greatsword. Ethen then tied his buckler to his left forearm.  Ethen put all his personal equipment on the icy cold ground near himself. Ethen with much more lighter weight joined with the Akalak warrior. Ethen said to the violet-skinned man "I also agree we should stretch out and then run through some sword forms as well weight training I think."

When Ethen suddenly saw his training buddy spring downwards and lift himself into a handstand. With the request of joining the upside man and attempt to do a handstand as well. Ethen had never tried a handstand before. Ethen thought to himself "well he did ask to join the older man, so he better do the handstand."

Ethen start his first try of doing a handstand by bending forward until his head touch the cold ground. Ethen settle his hands at the both sides of him with enough support to lift himself up. Ethen kick his legs from the ground. Which followed a rush of blood flow into Ethen's head. Then lift himself up which hold for three seconds. Ethen's right hand suddenly slip on the wet and frozen ground follow by banging his head on the dirt. Ethen fall backwards and followed with a sharp pain in his shoulders. Ethen ended with looking at the sky. With a painful voice and his hands holding upwards Ethen said "my name is Ethen. What your name?"

When the hand of the young man slipped upon the moist, frosted ground, resulting in his fall from grace, the Akalak had to resist the urge to chuckle aloud. Of course, such an action would have been excessively rude and served as nothing more than a blunt force to bruise the pride of the young one who had joined him to train. So, the violet-skinned warrior fixed his jaw and cemented his expression so that not even a hint of mirth escaped. Only a moment following the tumbling of the young man, the Akalak slowly lowered his feet back down to the earth and elevated himself back to a standing position. He then stepped over to the young man and extended to him his hand, in order to help him to his feet.

"To answer your inquiry," he began, offering a warm smile, "my name is Khal'iah Vojak of Riverfall. However, you may refer to me as Khal if you so desire."

In the event that the young man decided to take the Akalak's hand, he would aide in elevating him to his feet and then resume his stretches. Khal'iah would begin with a simple lifting of his arms above his head, then some squats, followed by various minor exercises that would leave him limber enough to actively participate in their imminent swordplay.

Ethen was winded by the fall but was still unfazed by it. Ethen got his balance and copied Khal's stretches by lifting Ethen's arms up and bending his body left to his right. After the upper body lumbering. Ethen then lowered his body and bend his knees and perform squats. Then Ethen stretch his legs by bending forward and pulling his legs. When Ethen was ready and good. Ethen faced Khal and asked him "what do we do now Khal."
