OOCYou should be aware that camps usually have livestock to worry about and since Ssynareis had already spotted the camp it is unlikely they would be able to escape her notice. Also remember that Dhani have heightened senses, so she wouldn't need to see you to track you. If you were planning on the thread taking a different direction, PM me and we'll work something outSsynareis was faced with something of a dilemma as she watch from the dune the Benshiran attempts at escape. She was left with two options at this point, she could attempt to chase them down while they were still in sight, or give up and return to Ahnatep. Both options had potential gains and draw backs. On the one hand, while it wouldn't be overly difficult to chase down the desert dwelling human it would draw her further into the desert. This could mean getting lost, not a good prospect.
On the other hand she had her pride to think of, if she let these weakling humans escape when they were in her grasp she would be shamed. Ssynareis considered both paths carefully, the Benshira were still well in sight, attacking them would not be overly difficult for her. In fact it would be easier to catch them as they were, they needed to transport livestock and their own possessions. Meaning they would be slow on the travel.
Still, getting lost and dying in the desert was certainly not an appealing prospect in any way, shape or form. So her options were at this point, pursue and face the possibility of getting lost for potential profit, or leave and face the shame of returning with clean blades and nothing to sell at the slave market. Needless to say it was quite the dilemma and every minute she spent in consideration was time they would be ready to escape her grasp.
Finally, realizing that leaving now would be and insult to Siku, Ssynareis moved down the dune towards the retreating Benshira. Her senses in her Dhani form were far beyond those of a human, her tongue flicked out to taste the air easily picking up the scent of livestock and humans. It was such a shame really, they had almost escaped her, if she had been a human then their little ploy probably would have worked. But she was a Dhani, desert or jungle she was an apex predator.
She was faster moving than the Benshira were, by grace that she did not have to worry about supplies, livestock, or children. Her senses would find them even should they escape her vision. There would be no escape for these humans, not today.
