Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Garden Practice

Souris stood tall, her arms reaching into the sky, hands seeming to press a roof off her head as she stretched. She looked around. The stone benches looked welcoming, as did the ground. Looking past the small gates, she also saw that if she turned into a mouse, she could have a nice run. Then again, she could also have a nice run in this tall, humane, female form. She thought about the things she could do, as being a Kelvic gave her multitudes of options. She grinned. Not far off she saw an Akalak- he was huge, compared to her. She bet he knew how to... do... unarmed combat. Yes! That's what she would do today-- unarmed combat. And this Akalak would help her with that. She shuffled her feet. She would first have to muster up the bravery to go and talk to the man. Though she didn't think it would be too hard, she couldn't tell if he would be friendly or not. The thought of him turning and being quite hostile frightened her, and a small sound resembling a squeak escaped her human lips. She pulled her shoulders back, mentally brushing away the worry. And she grinned.

She jogged forward, towards the male. Once she reached him, she jogged around him in a circle. There was about two feet between him and her. It was this running, that she was doing, that was relieving her of her nerves. When she stopped in front of him, they weren't nearly as bad, but reappearing. "You," she said, her right forefinger landing on his nose, lingering, then falling back down on her hip, all of her weight on her right side. She smiled at him. He was attractive. Up close, he was even more muscly than afar.

"You'll practice unarmed combat with me, won't you?"

Garden Practice

Postby Felavik Dysodamus on May 4th, 2013, 9:44 pm

Today was his day off and he had precious little to do. He could go train somewhere but he did that everyday. He could go find a sparring partner and have it out but that would yield similar results. After some meandering through the city he had decided to visit Knirin Gardens and give the vegetation a gander. Felavik was just admiring the greenery when something flashed by his vision. Blinking the thought out of his eyes he barely had enough time to register that a woman was running around him before she stopped and poked him right on the nose.

“Oh, hello.” He said not quite sure what was going on. “You want to spar with me?” Felavik asked eyeing the little woman up and down. She seemed quite skittish and frail to him. Not exactly the type that usually practised the art of unarmed combat. She looked as if she would have been better at running from combat.

Garden Practice

She watched his face and waited for him to register what happened. She smiled at him. She watched his face become bewildered as he thought about the possibility of sparring with her, and she listened to the tone in his voice. In her head, her nose seemed to twitch, although she realized that on the outside that the Akalak couldn't see that, so she raised her eyebrows slightly for him to see some sort of other emotion on her face.

"Hello," she murmured, right after he said his greetings. She waited a moment after she watched him observe his opponent. It looked as if he were going to laugh. She shrugged. "Well, it's not like it's a practice of mine. Buuuut, I don't have much else to do right now. And you seem like you won't bash my head in." she paused. "At least not on purpose." at this a sly grin escaped her lips.

"I was hoping you could help teach me?" she looked up at him, with baby mouse eyes. And then, she stopped. "It's you.." she trailed off, her facial expression more genuine instead of forced. She smiled. "Thank you," she mumbled.
