Fallon looked down upon the boy- for that was what he was- but did not flinch nor react to it. She had already received an inkling of his age when she used the Lykata, along with the residual feelings of worry. Anything else though was beyond her. Why he felt so was beyond the mind of her and her abilities, and so she was left to send out her own feelers to try and pick up those little signs that may reveal why. She took to the seat without a moment of hesitation, leaning back in it slightly so she could receive a better view of him from beneath her hood. Else wise her eyes were set upon his hands, and where they lay.
“My skills?” her hand petted the top of Orvin’s head as he sat himself down next to her. She regarded him for a moment, her mind calculating an answer “I can track with Orvin here. I can also help in your survival in the Wild lands should we end up there. I am also capable of defending myself should the need arise along with a few other little helpful things. A bit of medicine… nothing special, but enough to stop your guts from hanging out whilst you are dragged to a real doctor. So let’s just say I can do a few things on a small scale. An odd-jobber if you prefer such a title.”
It was intentionally vague. If anything to see how the boy would react to it. That and she was not comfortable with the idea of revealing her more magic driven skills. They may of been her more specialised areas but they were also of her more private lifestyle.
“As I perceive myself as? I could say a many a thing, about how I perceive myself. But whether or not I am of any value to you is for you to decide at the end of the day. Personally though, I am little more than a tool to be used. But that is just my own opinion,” she gave a nod to the boy “I will let you judge on how to put I to use.”
“Being in a team,” she begun almost as soon as he had finished, “Or more over knowing how to work in a team is a vital skill. Of course there is always occasions were going solo is more useful, it allows one to slip in and out unnoticed. But in this case I have no qualms in it. It is necessary after all. Or at least until you see fit- I do not know your plans after all.” The squire gave a respectable nod to him, before continuing on to her own set of questions.
“Tell me,” she leaned herself in and met his eyes “Why has your client not gone to the knights for assistance? Or at least alerted them of a potential problem? After all, this is a retrieval request and judging by your flyer a potentially risky one. My other question is this, upon the presumption that I am accepted in on your little adventure what will be the day of departure? I need to ensure I have the necessary equipment after all.”
