Appearance
Day Time
When the sun is up, Lacerta takes her ethereal form. Her figure is thin and extremely tall, reaching a little under 7'4". She moved with easy and graceful movements, and a high-seeming manner. Her skin is pale, slightly warmer than marble, and her eyes an amber color. Her hair is straight and of an average length, reaching her shoulder blades. Normally she wears it simply, either loose or tied up in a simple pony tail. One of her most obvious features, other than her extreme height, are a pair of horns running from her temples. They curl into an oval, similar to those of a rams, but only once, and in a more loose manner. They appear to be made from a glassy stone, and the Ethaefal often 'wears' them proudly.
Like all of her kind, when in this form, her hair and horn colors shift with the seasons.

Night time
When Syna relinquishes dominance of the sky, Lacerta takes on a mortal form. She takes the body of her past life, a female Eypharian. Her skin is a tanned color, and she gains an extra two pairs of arms. Her height decreases only 4 inches, down to 7’, still massive for an Eypharian. Her eyes are a vivid green, and hair shoulder length and dark brown. Each of her six hands have long, slender fingers. In this form, she holds herself upright and dignified, with barely a change from during the day.
Personality
If Lacerta could be described in one word, it would be solemn. She is a perfect combination of sad and calm, like the ocean on a greyish day. She rarely over reacts to anything, taking a more diplomatic approach to most things. There is an exception, as when some one insults her or something she loves directly, she will react harshly, and on occasion violently. She is content to her way of life, having been on the ocean for a few hundred years now. Though she holds herself in a regal manner, she tries to make as little contact with others as people, disliking interaction. She hates putting herself into awkward situations where she has to show weakness, and hates fights to an extreme.
Though not an expert in social situations, she rarely lets her emotions show, keeping the same calm, impassive face at almost all times. When she is playing or making music, or it's a particularly beautiful day, however, a small smile will always appear on her features, and her expression turns to one of calm joy. Seeing an extreme emotion is very rare indeed, but has happened on occasion.
Likes: Composing, Music, quiet, the sea, sunny days, beautiful art and scenery, solitude
Dislikes: Noise, fighting, cramped spaces, confinement, crowds, idiotic people
Lacerta spends almost all of her time at sea, though maybe half of that is spent actually travelling. What she enjoys most is sitting on the deck of her boat at sea, with music, alone. She makes a living composing pieces, then selling them to other bards and such. Though she does have skill with a flute, it's not really her primary thing to do.
Though it may not seem so, this Ethaefal has a goal in life. She wants to understand why she fell from her heavenly home, who is to blame, and if it's possible to return. Though at first she was determined to leave, the beauty of the sea, and music, has caused that wish to fade slightly, so all she really wants to do is know, and understand. Until then, she has a short term goal of spreading her music all around Mizahar, and make it as beautiful as possible. She's considering writing a piece for well over ten instruments one day, as the most she's written for is a group of three.

History
When Lacerta fell from the heavens, she fell quite far from any shore. It took a long time of constant swimming, but eventually she reached a shore. On it, she encountered a young Svefran boy, barely ten years old. He helped her during her first few seasons among mortals, supported her. The two became close friends, and Lacerta care for him deeply. They spent decades alone, floating through the ocean. He taught her the beauty of music, and how to make it. He gifted her with a flute, and carved her name on the mouthpiece himself. Sadly, at the ripe old age of 80, he died, leaving the Ethefael alone. She attempted to forget about the boy, but he always stayed in her mind, as he was practically part of her soul by then.

Over the course of around one hundred years (Approximately 390 - 470), Lacerta sailed to many places around Mizahar. She spent most of her time on the eastern side, though did visit Lhavit for quite some time.

Gnosis Story
33rd, Spring, 201AV, Noon
Lacerta was sitting outside in the marvelous sun, absorbing Syna's rays thankfully. The weather today was possibly the best it had been since early Fall: a cloudless sky, a slight breeze, and pounding sunlight. The Ethaefal lay in the middle of Starry Sea's deck, face pointing up, just enjoying the feeling. As a wisp of wind rippled through her hair, and something caught her mind. Though it was a perfect day for just lying in the middle of the Suvan Sea... it was also a perfect day for writing a song. Something just about the first beautiful, sunny day in a while...
She heaved herself up, and padded, barefoot, over to the entrance of the cabin. Slipping inside, she grabbed her music book, ink, quills, and flute, and quickly retreated back under the sunny weather. Settling down, Lacerta flipped through the lined paper and found an empty page to write her next song. A title... what to call it? As she thought on this, thinking about what to call the gift Syna had given her. That was it! She scribbled down a quick title at the top, Syna's gift. It fit, with the song she had in mind.
All while she'd been going through this, her brain had been creating a tune for the song. It was pretty quick, and happy, sort of similar to the sun itself. Sticking her tongue out slightly, the tall Ethaefal dipped her quill into the ink, and jotting down a few notes. She repeated this several times, often scribbling out sections, or entire lines. Every once in a while she played out what she'd written so far on her flute, just to test it out.
It took a few bells, but amazingly the song was finished. In total, not including all the crossed out parts, it was about 10 lines. So time wise, maybe a chime of music. But what a creation she had made... when played, the combination sounded magnificent. It was probably the best piece Lacerta had ever written. It was like... as if Syna had helped her create something in her honor. Picking up her flute again, she played it once through, trying to match the proper speed. She wasn't very good at the instrument, but luckily the music wasn't particularly challenging. When she finished, a voice sounded out, startling the Eth.
"My. That was beautiful." Lacerta practically jumped, almost dropping her flute, and staring up at the figure before her. How... how was some one on her boat? There was no one for miles around... She narrowed her eyes at this person, attempting to figure out who they were. The woman looked... happy, beautiful... god-like... and familiar.
Stuttering slightly, she asked, slightly confused, "Wh-who are you?"Then it came to her. "Are you..."[
"Yes, I am Syna" the sun goddess stated with a smile, causing the Ethaefal relax and nod. Questions flew through her head: why was Syna here? What did she want? Lacerta was dying to ask, but refrained. It wasn't as if the goddess was unwelcome, quite the opposite, but the visit was a surprise, as it had obviously never happened before.
"You're probably wondering why I came to visit. I want you to spread this song around, to show it to many, and continue loving the sun. And you should continue... so please, take this gift of mine, and enjoy what you have..." The Syna finished, a warm smile on her face the entire time. She touched Lacerta's forehead with a single finger, and warmth spread through her body. It was like... the sun rays amplified. It felt like she was given a new power, something beautiful... truly a gift from a goddess.
It took a while for her to recover, but finally the composer said "Thank you... I will treasure it with all my heart, and do as you asked..." Nodding her head slightly to the goddess, she mentally wondered what would happen next. She wasn't quite sure what this power... this gift, could do, but she was happy that Syna had given it to her, and that was really all that mattered... wasn't it?
"Well... good bye" The woman said, still smiling, and disappeared, leaving Lacerta to think upon what had just occurred. For some reason... the sun's ray's felt even warmer and more inviting than before, and the Eth treasured that feeling, not quite sure why it had changed, but simply happy that it had.

Beliefs
Religion is an important thing to Lacerta, though she is not overly attached to it. Being a daughter of Syna, she worships her, but also prays to Laviku, loving his oceans and seas.
