Fallon held the look of the nuit in her sight, eyes brought down to a single point upon her. Emotions changed, ebbing out and in as a sense of understanding once more consumed. Isolde seem to lighten, as if a weight that had once been placed upon her shoulders had finally been lifted, and the seed of life or more over courage had rooted itself. She watched the hands twitch, the curling of the lips as a sense of peace was formed. Those eyes looked up at Fallon, and in return she gave a simple nod and extended her hand as if to shake.

“What will I do now?” she said picking up the cold fingers in a gloved hand “I’ll do what I always do. Find a way to survive.” She cupped the nuit’s between hers, a gentle pat against them before they were lowered once more. Her eyes however, looking down upon the cool flesh as she continued “Maybe that sounds strange to you, but that’s what I’m going to do. Survive. And I’ll make sure those who I need to protect also survive. And at present there’s only one way I can get better at protecting them, and that is through learning and getting stronger. I’ll just have to become a good enough shield.”

Metaphorically of course. In reality, Fallon had no idea what she was going to do. But staying cooped up in one place would never help, along with trying to ignore the fact. She still had time to prepare, even if it was just a single day the squire still had time. Every moment was vital, and every moment would spur her onwards. Her back turned to the Nuit as once more she looked upon the front “If there is anything you can do… well… that is for you to decide. I would not like to force my own worries upon you, nor for me to be of any immediate concern. This is after all a storm that I need to face, and not one that you need to be dragged into…” Fallon’s lips pursed with thought “But there is one thing you can do. It is relatively simple… just… keep an eye out for a boy by the name of Vick will you?” The eyes glanced over her shoulder back at the nuit, before looking forward once more “But above all that… well... don’t be afraid to grow.”

Fingers drummed upon the pew in front, before once more she spurred herself into action. It was time to make a move, for the time for standing around was over “I best be making a move. There is after all no time like the present.” With that, Fallon began to slide herself out of the row of pews, and slowly begun walking her way down the aisle. If Isolde spoke, then the squire would indeed turn and stop to listen, for listening was what she did best. And at least to her, there was nothing else in need of discussion.

Fallon is a Master of Intimidation, "At this level, a Master intimidator often unconsciously intimidates their target unless the intimidator monitors their stance, tone, and actions to prevent this. Master intimidators will nearly always have a reputation that precedes them unless they have taken special care to prevent it."

[The Temple of All Gods] You've Got Mail

The Nuit actually smiled, smiled warmly, when Fallon reached out a hand and took hers, and the expression wasn't just the usual sideways twitching of her lips. There was some other emotion resting at her eyes, too, a certain peculiar sadness, or perhaps it was simply gratefulness. She wished Fallon well, that the girl might indeed survive, and even thrive. That her loved ones would do well, too, because their well-being appeared to be paramount to Fallon. That Fallon would be able, somehow, to conquer her monster.

At Fallon's request, however, the Nuit's expression faltered, the smile vanishing. A touch of something wild and panicked brushed in her eyes, and she blinked them several times, trying to blunt the raw emotion that hovered there. She wanted to tell Fallon that she could not keep an eye out for this-- this boy, this Vick whoever he was, and that she was sorry. The thought of having to watch out for a child, any child, made her skin crawl and itch in a very unpleasant manner. She felt the words on the tip of her tongue, waiting to be spoken, the apology without an explanation of why she could not do this small, simple task. But she found herself unwilling to refuse. After a moment she decided that perhaps-- perhaps this task was bearable, and perhaps she was being... unnecessarily conservative. Surely, it would be unlikely she would come across him, whoever Vick was, in a city as large and populated as Syliras, especially considering how unconnected she was. And... and she had offered her help. How could she withdraw it again so suddenly, and without the ability to explain why? She... she couldn't. So, instead of telling Fallon that she could not keep her eyes peeled for this-- this child, she muttered a simple, hesitant, "I-- I will do my b-best."

Then Fallon was gone, walking away, her final words --There is after all no time like the present-- striking a resonant chord in Isolde. Still, the thought of coming into contact with any child caused a visible shudder to wrack through the Nuit's small frame, and she cupped her elbows with her hands, crossing her arms tightly now that Fallon had walked away. Fear licked at the Nuit, and she was tempted to remain in the building, hiding away for another day or two. The familiar weakness was trying to jostle its way back to her mind, edging at her. No. She scooted out of the pew to fight off the feeling, hurrying out of the peaceful Temple with quick, jerky, nervous strides. She knew that there was no longer any reason for her to stay in the Temple, not when she could be figuring out what next she needed to be doing. She just had to keep their conversation in mind. Remember that even a monster could do good. And that there was no time like the present. She should spend her time planning, not hiding.
