"You did well. Is this your first time nursing someone ?" Ruby asked, causing Spirit to beam. Though it was just a small thing, the praise made her incredibly happy. "Uhh not really. Well, yes. The first time really helping out aa human patient, especially with something like... this. I generally help out more with animals!" She said, answering the doctor's question. This had been a pretty new experience for her, actually using legitimate medicines, rather than doing the basics of binding wounds and such. While she beamed, Ruby told the patient "Well then, excuse us and thank you for today too." and began to leave the room. The Frostfawn followed patiently, wondering what else her tutor would have in store. Would they be treating more patients? Or... making medicine? She wasn't even quite sure if Ruby could do that in the first place. Before she got too far, however, the patient stated: "Wait. 6 for a slow death, 7 for a painful one. That much a person can take before dying." It caused the young groom to freeze in her steps, confused, until the other two began laughing. Right, he was answering her question about the number of berries! Wow... 6 wasn't very many. It would be a disaster if someone, wandering through the wastes, decided to snack on a handful of them. Depending on the number, they could easily die! It was a slightly horrifying thought, so she noted down the appearance of the plant, so next time she was out in the wilderness, she would know not to eat those. Smiling at the laughter, she joined in slightly, before leaving the room to wait for Ruby. "So... what now?" She asked excitedly, ready to learn more about medicine. They experience with the gaping would had slightly put her off, but now that it was over and done with, she felt much better, and ready to keep on going. |
