Ash'eny's little joke got a better applause than he had expected, which pulled a grin from his face for a good minute or two, but once the crowds lost interest, which was quite soon, Ash'eny noticed the victim of the joke took it very seriously. A stab into the heart of the man's pride. Ash'eny groaned for a second as he hesitated, he could leave and not worry about it, but he felt bad now. Yes, a thief felt guilty for making a crude joke. "Shyke." Ash'eny cursed under his breath as he walked back to the man, and from his left hand dropped the nine pieces of silver coins, the mizas, right onto Leon's lap.

"Hey, get up. Let me buy you a drink or two. I meant no harm by all this, just a bit of fun." Ash'eny's face contorted into a frown, he was trying to think of words to cheer the guy up, but it wasn't his strong suit. "Here, I know you aren't from Syliras. That joke was bad, you didn't deserve it. Let me treat you to some beer, a little food, and if you still want to hit me afterwards, I'll allow you to do so. What do you say?" Ash'eny lowered his hand and offered it to Leon, offering to help pull him up from the ground. The 'beggar' couldn't believe he was doing this, especially with a knight nearby, although it would probably get him off the hook if Wystern managed to catch his little breaking of the law.

Ash'eny turned his head to see Tressa moving to Leon and whispering something to him. He also noted that she was blushing, but it died down as the laughter itself did so. She both laughed but felt for Leon. Tressa was a good girl, one of a kind, and oddly enough, Ash'eny had a plot developing. Not only could he try to make up to Leon for his behavior, but he could even feel good about himself if he helped by being a little matchmaker of sorts. It was obvious Leon liked the girl, or at least turned to rubber at the beauty of her face, perhaps he could get Tressa to feel an attraction to Leon. Everybody would win.

"Miss, you said your name was Dessa correct? (he actually mispronounced or misheard her name the first time) How about you come with us to the Rearing Stallion, the booze isn't outstanding and the food is hardly appetizing, but it is my treat. I wish to officially apologize to you both." Ash'eny grinned as he offered his right hand for Tressa to shake, his left was still being offered to Leon to help him up. "I assume you two have a few hours to spend with a young homeless man like myself? I guess, if you don't mind my presence? If so I'd be happy to lead you to the tavern and be on my way, never to bother either of you again, on my honor."

Postby Leon on July 2nd, 2010, 12:16 am

Leons head raised as he heard her giggle. " Are you serious, shes laughing at me!." His thoughts were wrapped around this. But as it was she was amazingly gorgeous with her smile, and the way her cheeks flushed. To be honest just to see her look that way made it all worth it. She didn't seem to hate him for what ever happened or did not happen. Leons smile returned as hers continued to glow, but something was strange about? But for the life of him he couldn't place it... and this it hit him "Fangs she has fangs! SWEEET!!" She reached down and touched him, that in its own was something he never ever thought would happen. It was by far the greatest event thus far in his entire life!

She turned her attention to the beggar behind him who was still probably enjoying the torment he had just given him. But that smile and that cute sound she made made him almost forget the whole issue even happened.

It was the beggar that brought brought him back to his complete senses. He filled his lap with the coins he had just given him. He knew he didn't need the cash, but he didn't know he would give it back to him just because of the stunt he played on him. And now that it was over with and the shock of it had passed he was trying himself not to laugh about the whole situation.

Leon looked up at the man, he was no beggar, his appearance was thusly, but he could feel much more from this person. He was not as he seemed that was for sure.in fact he was one hell of a trickster. He watched with a blessing Tressa take a pace forward in his direction, she had the best words to comfort him, he didn't at all deserve it that was for sure. He looked down at himself making sure it was made up and gave a brief thank you that it was.

Leon reluctantly got up, dusting his rear side of any debree that may have latched itself to his end. He looked from the hot girl to the man, to the Newly arrived knight, and smiled the widest smile he could muster. Life was to short to let stupid games get to him. And the laughter he had been holding back broke out finally and he stood there to himself trying to recompose himself.

When he finally got his act together he turned to face the beggar. His words were unlike his previous tone. He kept the straightest face he could muster.

" Ok so let me get this straight, you want to buy me dinner and my newly acquired friend? After embarrassing me in front of these fine people. You know what come to think of it, I do believe Miss Tressa is right I believe your name is in order, Sir." He rapidly changed his tone and brought back a smile that he could not contain any longer.

"I would be delighted to accompany you stranger to any place of your choosing."

Leon felt someone not to far off stop and look at them. He didn't take very much notice of it, but who ever it was moved away quickly as probably not trying to be seen. He pointed in direction giving an innocent statement. "See now random people I don't know flee. " He began to chuckle some more. For some reason everything seemed like it was going to be ok. This is nothing like what he was brought up to know about the city, this was great!.

Postby Wystern on July 2nd, 2010, 1:09 am

Wystern just stood there as an ear-to-ear grin spread across his face; he was a bit struck by the beggar's joke and trying his best not to boast in laughter. He let out a chuckle or two and regained his composure. His post would be over in a few minutes when the next bells would sound.

The thought of going to the Stallion however, did sound entertaining, considering that he would go there anyway. "I think I'll take up your offer on that. I can pay half, you pay the other?" He said to the beggar. Wys couldn't quite bring himself up to pity the man that was pranked. Bad things happen to those who let them happen, and those things will take every opportunity. Still, the Knight admired his coolness about this...Wys would kill for less. Anyway, no harm done, no one at fault-except for Wys who probably surprised the beggar-and dinner at the tavern sounded like a great idea right about now.

Postby Tressa on July 2nd, 2010, 7:33 am

Tressa stayed silent while they spoke, silently observing the three men. The other cloaked man was silent, obviously observing along with her, maybe not paying attention at all. She could see the guilt in the cloaked man’s face. Well at least he has some form of a conscience, possibly even respectable in a sense she told herself, noting how he returned the coins he had so dearly needed for ’a small meal for his family’, she smirked. His acting was far better than his begging anyhow and she seen him in a new light. Leon seemed to be recovered from his ordeal and she felt proud of herself. Sure it had not been just her, but she had at least helped him feel better and that was more than she’d ever done for anyone, save for her brother. Just as her mind began to wander and her thoughts began to run bitter she was spoken to. Dressa? That is a horrid name, sad how close my name truly is to it. She thought looking to her nameless addressor her gaze shifting from him to glance at Leon, who was obviously checking himself, which made her bite her lip to keep from laughing at him. Which wouldn’t be very nice as he stood and removed the dirt and she didn‘t want to know what else from himself. Who knows what’s on this ground? She shuddered at the possibilities.

Remembering the question asked of her, her eyes moving back to the other man before she spoke. “Tressa” She said it slowly, pronouncing each syllable clearly, in a ‘don’t you forget it’ sort of way. “My name is Tressa, and yours?” She asked again, her face taking a questioning expression. “If not your name than a name to call you, or else I shall just call you ’hey you’." She finished, smiling sort of while still trying to appear serious, which is a very hard thing to do. Lowering her eyes to the ground as she weighed his request in her mind. The Rearing Stallion… She had just left there, but she still desired a meal. She had no interest in the beer, but food, yes, she wanted food and a free meal, or should she say a free cooked meal that she didn’t have to chase down was always good. Another benefit was that these men seemed to be full of surprises and laughs. She doubted it would be a dull night. “Yes, I will accompany Leon, and yourself.” She said raising her gaze back to his face as she spoke.

Still looking to the man she had spoken to she felt Leon’s gaze on her and she felt compelled to meet it which she did. He was most definitely in a better mood, his eyes held laughter, as if he laughed at his own reaction to the joke. She knew he had seen her smile, she rarely forgot to control it, but she had slipped up. Then the presence of another announced itself to her. She turned to watch the girl who moved towards them in a suspicious way. Her actions said she wished to be unseen, yet paused to look onto the small group as if in need of something, before skittering off. Still Tressa watched her intently, chase, pounce… do it. No, she told herself sternly. She tore her gaze from it’s target placing her attention back to the group. Drat. Leon spoke and it helped to change the track her mind was on. I’m right? “Of course I’m right.” She added after he had accepted the offer. Unsure of why she had said it, it truly held no purpose, maybe just to add to the conversation, or maybe to be heard, or maybe even to assist in pushing those thoughts away. There were too many maybes and not enough definates in her world it seemed.

The ever so silent man who she now, no longer lost in her own anxiety recognized as a Syliran Knight, spoke. The fact that he had said so little drew her attention to him quickly, he was a man of few words and that made her want to hear him. He also agreed to the offer and even to pay for half of the meal. So they were all going. This should be interesting… Were the only words that crossed her mind as she settled her attention back to the entirety of the group, her yellow eyes reflecting some of what little light source there was.

Postby Ash'eny on July 2nd, 2010, 1:52 pm

OOCAsh'eny actually did give Tressa a name, twice now, but he lied about it, saying his name was 'Tolby' instead of his real name 'Ash'eny'. At any rate, I'll be leaving insanely and painfully earlier tomorrow, but just to make sure I don't leave you guys hanging, I'm going to make my exit of this thread right now. Later on, however, we shall roleplay some more. Until then, fare thee well!

"Treeeessa. Tressa, a thousand apologies beautiful Tress..." Ash'eny's words died off instantly as he peered into the crowd, excitement was beginning to grow, people began moving quickly, or being pushed out of the way of something, someone approaching quickly. Ash'eny figured that he knew precisely who it was, perhaps not personally, but that might have been bad. He gave a nervous smile and looked back to Leon. "Well, it seems I must go back on my word, I will not accompany you today. An unforeseeable occurrence may have just fallen onto my shoulders. Here, take this as I did promise to pay for your drinks and food. And this young man here (he turned to Wystern and smiled. Ash'eny was talking very quickly and took several turned to face the crowd again, as if expecting something to explode any second) can surely lead the way. Thank you sir, and for now, I must go." Ash'eny handed Leon's five gold Mizas before turning to face the crowd, and as he expected, two large men plowed through, and instantly saw Ash'eny standing there in his ragged cloak.

"That's the petching crook! I'll tear his arms off myself!

"You swindling shyke, gonna have fun with you!"

The two men began spewing foul insults at Ash'eny, who simply stood there, smiling. The first of the two to speak stepped forward to grab Ash'eny, who responded by throwing a large money-bag right into the man's face, causing him to both yelp, and the bag to open up and spray coins everywhere. It probably wasn't his own money that Ash'eny gave to Leon, but that man's. After that, Ash'eny turned and flew down the street to the best of his ability, which you think would be better as often as he went through this sort of thing in his life, but not so. The first man was so infuriated that he charged after Ash'eny while his companion was quick, and very clumsy, to gather the rest of the coins, the bag, and put it all together. He probably missed several of them, but he wanted to kill Ash'eny just as bad as the former man, not to any surprise certainly.

"I'll murder that short little..."

The man grumbled to himself as he began to walk away, he had, by now, lost both Ash'eny and his large 'intelligent' friend and decided it would be better to just walk until he found himself somewhere.

ExitAsh'eny has left the Thread. Hope everyone is okay with this.

Wys looked at the scene with a surprised look on his face. "What the shyke..." The Knight mumbled to himself. Alright, it's go-time. The men just chased after a beggar, and the beggar was quick enough to lose them, and now the goons were picking up money. He was a thief...Wys slapped his forehead at how long it took him to connect the dots. He was a little tired, but still.

Wys took a deep breath and let a loud whistle that echoed across the market and a good portion of Syliras. He started walking towards the men, and drew his sword, and the crowd made room towards them. A look of fear etched across the goons' faces when they heard whistles much like Wystern's coming closer.

They tried to run, but there was no point. Several more Knights arrived and Wys stepped back. He whispered what happened to the guy who would take over his shift and moved back towards the duo. "I am terribly sorry about that, everything is going to be taken care of," he said with a friendly smile. "I shall you the way to the tavern, if you want."

Wandering the city (Open)

Postby Leon on July 2nd, 2010, 5:45 pm

This day was turning out to be way more eventful than he ever wished for. To be honest Leon had never gone to the Inn they were speaking of. He took little care in the local taverns, for the drunk and disorderly seemed to linger in every little crevice. But this time he did have a great motivation to try to just, quote unquote, “deal with it." That motivation had the most wonderful eyes, a soft caring voice and a way about her that just drew him in. It was almost like she was born to draw people close to her.

He started to get lost in her again. It was something that was happening a lot. In Leon’s head questions started forming over and over, he was focused too much on her to even pay attention to the events that were taking root. “I wonder how soft that hair is. Is she coupled? I wonder if I am her type. Does she have a type!? Of course she does stupid, I wonder what she is thinking about.”He was taking the whole conversation with the man for granted. It wasn’t until he felt the familiar feeling of coins in his hand that he looked down confused at why his hand was heavier. Only then did he notice the few gold Mizas that were added to his collection of silver ones. He was puzzled for he had completely zoned out to what was going on in the background. And he hit himself in the back of his head for not knowing what was going on. “Wait your not joining us?” And upon bringing his gaze back to the nameless man he found that he had that “Ok it’s time to get going kind of look.” He looked about and disturbance and the cause of that look on his face. “Oh.”

The chaos was caused by two fairly large people who seemed pissed beyond all reasoning. In truth they probably had a good reason for the vaguer comments they were shouting, but to Leon they were just shouting and cursing for no real reason. It probably didn’t help that the nameless man was just smiling the entire time they were in their fit of rage. In fact it seemed to make them even more infuriated. They kept going on about some coins, probably some of the ones he now held in his hand. One of the large angry gentlemen made a move for the him. And with a quick hand (probably practiced with the years of stealing) there was an explosion of coins as the bag containing them erupted in the attackers face. Leon could do nothing but stand and watch, he was enjoying the confrontation to say the least.

Leon proceeded to put his newly acquired coins in his pocket he used the confusion and the sound of coins to hide his own movement of coins into his pocket. It was a precaution just incase the pair wanted to try to reclaim the ones he had been given as well.

It seemed that as soon as the nameless one ran off, (after the well played attack,) the man he had hit took few moments to collect himself (and of course rub the now red spot on his head). After mutter a few words through anger he then took up pursuit after the nameless one. He was surprised that he had left all that gold to lie in the streets. But then his memory flashed back to the second man who was gaining ground on where the good was scattered. He seemed to be thinking on the right gears even if he was in a hurry with his collection, skipping noticeable pieces and cursing to himself. He glanced up to see his partner chasing down the thief; he was caught between the wanting to kill the man and the coins on the ground. He picked up what he felt was enough and took the bag and followed suit cursing out a warning if he ever got the chance lay hands on the thief.

"I'll murder that short little..."

Leon looked around to spot a few coins that were all too obvious. In a total he found about six more gold Mizas that were missed from the enraged men. He picked them up and handed feeling the weight of the coins in his hand. Something about the way the cold gold felt against his palm made him smile. Leon didn’t bother searching around that mard for more. He had plenty enough to buy a nice meal and possibly a room for the night. He was sure there were a few coins or so left on the earth beneath his feet. He was sure that someone would find a nice bounty of gold coins if the pair didn’t come back to search for any they might have missed.

" Well It looks like our friend won't be joining us after all... Then do you think that it would still be appropriate that we feast tonight on the spoils of his thievery?" Leon gave a short pause looking around, he added the coins to his collection in his pocket and started back up again.
" I would much like it if we still did go I was looking to spending more time with...(Leon’s glance looking over to Tressa) new acquaintances."
He was melting again, he could feel himself being drawn into her beauty, what was it about her that made his insides feel like complete putty that she could mold and do what ever she wanted with. Why... he had never felt this way before. " Get a grip! come on she’s just a girl!... Just a girl!!... just a wonderful, intoxicating, alluring girl!...it’s hopeless isn't it." Leon’s heart beat was starting to raise, he had to turn from her, but for some reason it was so hard to break her eyes connection. For even when his head started to turn from her, his eyes insisted that they stay.

" If it’s not to much of a hassle I say we just use the money and go enjoy ourselves in his honor...or dishonor. What ever the case may be at the moment unless you have other plans."

He was hungry; there was no doubt about it. His stomach turned with the thought of well prepared food, hell it turned at the though of just prepared food. Leon tried to keep his eyes from glancing over in the direction of Tressa, but every couple of moments he found himself looking in her eyes, smiling and then finding it hard pressed to turn from her, to pay the Knight his attention as well.

Leon watched as the man let loose a whistle that was nearly ear shattering. He feared what it would have done to someone who would have had more sensitive hearing. He looked over to Tressa; he wasn’t really concerned with the events taking place. It just meant that the pair would not be coming back for the gold they left behind after all.

“There is no real need for an apology, its not like you planned any of this to happen, it is just the way things work. A chain of events leading to this one, where the person at fault can never truly be blamed, people do things they believe are right at the moment and end up paying for them later. These men are a prime example.”

His stomach made a growl noise and he looked around to see if anyone heard it besides himself. “I’m thinking the inn would be a fine place to go right about now, I believe I and fully hungry.”
