Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

Tinnok did not even notice Alva. It was not strange for her Nura not to work on the Myrian Tigers outside of the city, for the massive cats generally didn't want anything to do with her, and if that tiger was slightly smaller than the one's usually guarding the entrance? Well, it didn't give her pause.

"Ah so not long then." His comments suddenly made sense to her. A Kelvic who had lived his or her life in Taloba had plenty of time to prove their worth to their compatriots, one who had barely begun their life in and around the City? Well that was a different matter entirely.

She noticed a strange purple hue to the Kelvic's hair, which once again made her question what form the Kelvic took. So when he asked if he could transform?

"Whatever makes you feel comfortable, Kelvic, I will not keep you in human form for the sake of conversation. You'll find I like silence just as well."

Tinnok noticed that Zurenai was keeping his distance from her, and wondered if it was because he was anxious, needed to keep her in his sights? She was far too curious about Kelvic transformations not to watch what happened next, so she paused in the thick undergrowth, turning to glimpse what would happen next, failing to notice a flicker of orange in the undergrowth a short distance away.

Zurenai shrugs, "No not long at all. I feel comfortable within the jungle though. It suits me I guess... As I am a creature of the jungle."

He nods his thanks as you say he can transform and takes off his bag, opening it and taking off his cloak and weapons, putting them away and pulls off his shirt, then suddenly remembers his manners, "Oh yes. Please forgive me as I must strip naked to injuring myself or tearing my only clothes." He strips down naked and stretches, feeling the air on his bare skin and smirks.

Oh why would a Human ever wear such a thing as clothes. They are so restricting. For what reason is clothing necessary? To hide your bare body from others? Doesn't the bare body help you decide upon a mate. Alas humans are so strange...

He puts away his clothing in his bag and leaves it on the ground and transforms in a large shimmer of light.

Zurenai reforms in light, standing crouched on four limbs, his dark black fur rippling as it settles and shining a deep purple, he stretches and his claws extend on their own and then opens his eyes. His eyes glimmer as a deep purple and shine yellow in the light, almost entirely slit, his snout low to the ground as he sees the flash of orange fur in the distance and growls at it, challenging the stalker. He picks up his bag in his large jaws. His brilliant form rippled with muscle and looks up at Tinnok, nodding head signalling we can continue our trek.

She watched, too, from the trees. Her eyes glinted reflectively in the waning light of the moon, and her fur gleamed under its shadow, but she didn't think for hiding when she had heard the word 'kelvic'. For the first moment, she had thought Tinnok was speaking to her, but upon realising she was addressing the man, her curiousity pulled her forward to watch him transform.

The barbarian's form shimmered and pulled in different ways to become a black jungle cat. Hardly impressive, seeing as she was already a tiger and in her own opinion that meant way more than belonging to one of those horrible tree-climbers that didn't understand water was one of Caiyha's greatest gifts. He snarled at her, though, and just like her usual self, she wouldn't let a challenge like that go unanswered.

She stepped forward, setting herself in an intimidating posture, and pulled back her lips in a fiercesome snarl that ended on a roar that rang out loudly. That was also a symbol of pride for her. Her roar could be heard loudly in comparison to other cats, excluding the Myrian Tigers. Let the barbarian animal try and top that, because even though he was bigger than her she wasn't likely to drop out of a fight if he chose to meet her show of intimidation. She upheld Myri's laws in the land as a claw in her formidable paw of an army. She would be perfectly justified in killing and eating the heart of a barbarian that thought to upstage her.

Zurenai turns to face the Tiger, sizing her up and then drops his bag from his mouth. Wondering how a small female like herself could ever even consider roaring at him, what a beautiful roar though, surely impressive. Deafening and probably louder then his own roar. He dismisses that factor and lowers body down low, a rumbling growl growing in his throat until it bursts as a loud echoing roar and his tail swishes behind him slowly, ears low on head, fangs bared. Long and white, glistening in the white as he growls lower.

He slowly moves closer to the Tiger, circling her. Growling and taunting her as he does, surely this small beast will back off upon realizing that he will never back down. Surely she will leave and let him be. He didn't want to have blood on his fur, much less before he even reached Tinnok's house, Or worse. What if he was killed in this fight that would surely ensue. Then what could he do. He then reassures himself, having killed crocodiles, larger and stronger then this tiger could ever be and readies himself for a pounce. He would make sure this Tiger would regret answering his challenge and he bares his fangs, roaring again, louder this time.

He refuses to let such a small predator upstage him, he refuses to lose a fight against such an enemy. He will not lose quickly or easily. He will fight until his last breath if he must, but surely he would live to defeat such a beast, and more.

Tinnok paused to admire the newly transformed panther, taking in the strange purple sheen to the dark black fur, and dark eyes that stared up at her, lithe muscled body poised upon the earth.

So when she saw him growl her body twirled to see what was happening, only to realize the tiger had followed them...and what was more, clearly seemed to see a threat in the form of the panther.

Now Tinnok really took the time to size the striped feline up. The patterning, the size, even the cocky stance it seemed to hold... "...Alva?"

And then the two cats were in competition. Tinnok lamented the fact that Caiyha's gift would help her none between these two Kelvics. She watched the two beautiful creatures have it out, contemplating whether to let them solve their differences the natural way of the jungle...

But no, that wouldn't do. They were still not far from the city gates, and the witch needed none of the attention they would surely be getting soon. So she performed an idiotic gesture and stepped in between the two warring jungle cats.

"Enough!" Her voice was filled with a command that she wasn't sure she had the authority to pull across.

She glanced at the tiger. "Alva I know it is you, and if you injure this Kelvic I will be most upset with you."

She turned a scrutinizing eye on the panther. "You, Kelvic, are new to this city, and should know better than to pick fights with the creatures we Myrians revere above all. Alva is my friend, and I will not sit by if you attempt to injure her. Stand down, or you will be fighting more than just her."

Two hands, palms facing outward pointed at both Kelvic, Tinnok wondering if the two would just tear her to shreds, worked up as they were. She had confidence in Alva, who was vicious, but sensible, but could not say anything for this strange dark cat which sat on the opposite side of her. She breathed slowly out of her nose, waiting for the cats's response.

Zurenai Avarachi

Zurenai lets out one last growl and takes a small step back in response to Tinnok's command, Slightly irritated.

Why did she have to get in the way of things, and who is this Alva? Is it her pet? Or is it another Kelvic. If so then why did she not just confront him. So many questions need to be answered. I want an ally so I will back down but if she does not I will defend myself... I hope Tinnok can forgive that. Forgive the fact that in his very nature he is meant to kill. Of course though, this may just be a simple Tiger, like that of the Myrian Tigers, but so small for one. Maybe it is an adolescent and of course Tinnok may actually be part Myrian so that may be the reason why she is defending it.

He shakes his head to break his thoughts and stares at the Tiger, eyes not leaving it unless it backs down, his hole body crouched low, muscle rippling and tight, jaws bared.

Alva's ears pinned back at Tinnok's words and she snarled louder at the imposing Kelvic panther. She was all ready to jump and bite and tear at him, but Tinnok's words did get through to her. Instinctively, she didn't care for the words of the woman. They were just that, after all. Words. Nothing like a predatorial battle where bodylanguage meant all and weakening her stance could spell her death.

There was a human mind in there somewhere though that, while totally glad to ignore human reasoning, still succumbed to thought.

She relented at Tinnok's words with a wave of her tail that said you're lucky, this time before the striped feline made her way to Tinnok. Even with her losing the aggressive stance she had just held, there was still an edge of wariness to her, like she didn't trust the male, as she approached Tinnok and just stood there, closer than the male was now as though to say that this was her person and she wouldn't stand for some upstart making a fool of her.

Tinnok gave the barest of sighs. She was not out of the woods, ltierally or figuratively, but it was at the very least, a start.

Both felines were still tensed, poised for the slightest misstep, and Tinnok was reminded of a time in the jungle when a jaguar happened across a tiger. She had watched from the treetops as the creatures had attempted to assert dominance...it had not been a pretty picture. This encounter, however, was not necessary, at least not in the maintenance of natural order.

Before any more snarls or growls could be traded, Tinnok gestured toward the panther. "Alva, this is Zurenai, Zurenai this is Alva, a tiger Kelvic....Alva I assume you saw this strapping fellow here transform..."

She hesitated for a moment. introducing two Kelvic in animal formed just seemed bizarre...she wondered suddenly precisely what she was attempting to do, and when after a few moments her brain came up with nothing, threw her hands rather exasperatedly into the air, completely baffled by the situation she now found herself in. "You are both adults...at least I assume, and can make your own bloody decisions. I am traveling to my gods be damned hut, and if either or both of you want to tag along, I can feed you if you like. Any scrapping on the way and the deal's off, I don't need two territorial predators trying to show each other whose the fiercer one in my neck of the jungle."

And with that Tinnok headed off back into the thicket. The two cats could sort it out their damn selves, she wouldn't be any further peacekeeper than preventing the bloodshed of a Myrian Tiger (in name if not blood) and a bloody barbarian panther...though putting it that way sounded rather romantic. The half breed coughed and continued her trek through the jungle. It would take a few bells if she made good time...and in this patch of jungle, Tinnok knew the ins and outs without any need for paths.

After about half a bell she paused, ears pricked for the sounds of fur against leaves that would signal any parties joining her on her trip homeward. Curious as to whether of not the two would settle their little dispute and come along.

Zurenai Avarachi

Zurenai watches Tinnok go and throws a sideways glance at the Tiger.

So she is Kelvic... Hmm... Interesting. I guess she is a runt. Oh well. If on so small wishes to challenge me then it should be done another day. I didn't want to get my fur dirty anyways.

He turns away from Alva and trots after Tinnok quietly, Attempting to stay silent and walks with her, slightly closer then before as if to apply comfort to her since she was so irritated earlier and looks up at her as if to say sorry.

Such strange emotions. I always get carried away with my nature in this world of humans and such. How upsetting to know I almost lost an ally.

He mews at you, a sound that is unique to the Jaguar among big cats and trots a bit faster, challenging you to pick up pace, being playful.

OOCSince Alva's retired, let us carry on!

Tinnok noticed Alva disappear back towards the city and simply shrugged. "Suit yourself then."

It seemed her original traveling companion was sticking with her, and she smirked as a long black tail flicked playfully, silky black body bounding forward with a high pitched mewling sound quite undignified for such a large cat.

Tinnok chuckled and jogged to keep up. "You know you can't lead if you don't know where you're going, Kelvic."

She sprinted ahead of him, leaping over a fallen log and charging into the jungle. "Come on then, cat, if we're going to race then let's race!"

She grabbed an overhanging branch, swinging her body up into the air and landing with a resounding thump, landing upon the ground and setting off at a run. It was difficult with the amount of foliage upon the forest floor, but Tinnok new this stretch of jungle well, and pounded onwards.
