Now that Kyra had somewhat gotten settled back into the city, she realized that she needed to find work. The young kelvic had gotten accustomed for a short time, on hunting her own kills and eating that, but now that she was in Syliras again, she looked to find another type of work. Of course she would still hunt when she had the urge to do so, but there was something about having her own coin that she liked. Besides, she wasn't always up for hunting and it was a lot harder to steal in Syliras than it was in Ravok, and even that was still hard to pull off.
One thing she had noticed about the city is that everyone seemed to have some sort of work that they did, and she figured that if she was to stay that she too needed employment. Sadly she didn't possess any other skills beyond hunting and that's the thing that she wanted to put on hold for a bit. So the young kelvic decided to try her hand at being a courier. It seemed like an easy enough job, and one that wasn't centered around danger. Kyra took the job, and soon enough there was a call for a delivery to be made in the Illythian District.
This would be the hard part, Kyra was just learning her way around the market area and where it led back towards the entrance of the city and to the housing where she now stayed. Until she was able to learn her way around, this would likely be the only down side to the job that she had, but only time would tell. Even so, she was enthusiastic and wanted to do her best, and on the plus side roaming the city was a good way to learn. Through it all, there was one thing that she knew, her legs and feet were going to get a workout.
Kyra moved through the city as a brisk pace, she asked around for directions from people who seemed like they might know where to lead her, hoping that it would make the trip much shorter. It didn't, the young girl got lost again and again, and spent a bell circling the wrong District. Finally she happened to find a kind Knight who was willing to escort her there. She paused to have a break for a bit, as her journey still wasn't over. Now she would have to walk the area and find the address of the home she was instructed to hand the package off too.
It was a small package, but still a bit on the heavy side even while being carried in her backpack. The kelvic wandered around more, after taking a thin sheet of parchment from her pocket with the address listed on it, and the name Collins as the recipients. She noticed at once that this area of the castle was very different from the others. Everyone that she saw was well dressed and had their hair styled. There were even some with an odd coloring to it that was most likely dyed. They wore makeup, even the men and everyone looked as if they were about to attend a a grand party.
Kyra had grown up seeing a similar look on the people in Ravok who could afford to do as these people could. However, that was another time and Kyra was now one of the poor, even though she dressed common most of the time. Finally she found the place that she had been searching for and walked up the tall steps and knocked on the door.
