Interestingly enough, the great bazaar is confined to the fifth tier or basement of Stormhold Castle, though it does sometimes spill out onto the streets surrounding the great fortress. Vendors from all over the world set up stalls and hawk their wares. Stalls cost 10 silver miza a day and consist of a simple table. Better locations include corner lots near the entrances and exists and might run double the price. Regardless those visiting Syliras can run across just about anything in the great bazaar. Rare and costly magical items, slaves, even exotic pets, furs, and ceramics can be found here. Books, talismans, herbs... just about anything someone might need can be located in the depths of this massive bazaar.

If one wants to set up a booth or gain some sort of information where something might be located, stop by Jerom Sendrick's Information Booth at the entrance of the Bazaar. He has a complete map of the Bazaar Itself and can lease empty booth space (when available) to new vendors.

Early Morning of the 10th of Summer, 510. AV

Torc had just entered Syliras after his long journey from Zeltiva. It was early morning, and the sun had just rose in the east. The sky was given up shades of orange to its natural blue, while the soft fog coming from the dew on the cobblestones was began to dissipate in the morning light. People slowly began to move, with purpose in their step as the new day pressed its need to be filled. Torc felt lost without a job or project to be going to, true he was here to sign up for one, but that didn’t change his feelings.

As Torc began to move around the city he found himself in a bit of trouble. He had lost his way, and the buildings and walls blocked the occasional few of the Temple. Torc decided to try and find himself a shop, and as he took the next right he saw a that he had entered a market square. Merchants were everywhere hawking wares in bright colored garb. Their voices squawk loadily about how much better this bolt of cloth was or how far this animal had been brought from. To Torc it was the sensation of being flooded by information and yet floating in a river a people. Truthfully, he was looking perhaps to by a bit of hard cheese and maybe asked for some directions.

As Torc moved about, he felt the crowd of people move to accommodate his large size. Being a blacksmith and half Isurian meant that his bulk was quite large and plenty of muscle to fill it. He wasn’t wearing anything tight since it often restricted his movements. Nay, he wore his usual loose clothing, a long sleeve homespun cloth shirt, with hearty loose fitting cloth work pants. The straps to his backpack cut tight about his shoulders, pulling tight his shirt about his upper chest. Torc decided that he wasn’t going to get anywhere without asking for help. Torc reached out with lightly tapping the woman in front of him hoping to ask her for directions.

Tiza slowly walked in the middle of the crowd trying to see over everyone ever so often she jumped to see ove the heads of all the tall ones. She had decided to come here fron Nyka to see what the big deal was with the Bazzar and brought what little money she had with her. Because of her short and petite size she was often jostled around and forced to move where ever the mainstream of people is moving

She thought to herself how the residence of this city must be used to the busy rush. Tiza kept one hand on her pocket at all times incase of pickpockets, she knew how to protect herself being a sort of thief that she was herself. She arrived at a stall where she decided to just look and see what was there. It being fresh fruit she uses her sneakyness to try and steal an apple but when that fails and she is caught by the merchant she puts the apple back and looks up at him smiling some attempting to seduce him with her child like cuteness to let her have that apple.

When the merchant let her have the apple she felt someone tapping her on the shoulder and looks back to see who it was still she kept a hand on her pocket for protection. The petite pale skinned girl turned around and looked up at the person who tapped her. When she saw who tapped her she took a step back obviously was surprised by the large man.

"Hm? What can i help you with?"

Her voice is not quite squeeky like a little girls but not quite matured like a woman. She has white feathers woven in her hair in a specific way.

Torc looked down at the white haired girl. He thought she looked small for someone her age, but then again he was massive for someone his own age. At the white hair, he wondered if she was Konti, though he had never heard of one wearing feathers in her hair. From the way the girl was reacting he felt that he had shock her by his presence, in a way it sadden him. Torc wasn’t a gentle man, but he wasn’t cruel either, he often tried to live a good life and help those around him. The skin on Torc’s forehead began to bundle up from the suppressed discontent he felt over surprising the girl.

“Sorry, Miss. I just need some help finding the Temple of Gods. See I am trying to get there to sign up for the caravan, and if I scared you it wasn’t my intention.” Torc said in a soft but firm voice. Torc wondered about his own voice for a moment, it was soft because he was using a smoothing tone to allow the girl to feel relaxed. However, it was firm in its strength, people often said that he had a battlefield voice, it carried across a room like a wave, even when it was a soft spoken word.

Torc placed left hand under his left backpack strap. The brown copper of his heritage came out upon the hand as it hit the light. Normally it should have been blue with veins of silver, but because of his mixed blood it was brown with veins of pink. The feel of the leather straps was smooth from wear, while the small creek of dried leather gave voice from his hand.

Torc smiled, once again trying to put the girl at ease, he hadn’t meant to surprise her, but then again he should have thought better of his actions.

Tiza let out a sigh of relief and looked up at him. She studied the large man for a second and smiled some. Tiza didnt seem scared just thatshe didnt expect a large man to be standing there. She noticed the bundle of skin on your forehead and frowned herself

"Im sorry.. im new here myself. I can barely even see the market stalls. You just surprised me a bit I wasnt scared. Im trying to get to the big part of the Bazzar myself.."

Tiza's face turned into a cute sort of girlish smile to reassure you. She reached into her bag and pulled out a map then handed it to you. She didnt know how to read a map she just got it just in case someone else did and for a backup plan. As she reached out to hand it to him, Torc noticed a tribal sort of tattoo on her soft palish skin. Her skin revealed she couldnt be older than eighteen.

"Here um.. You can have this i cant read it too well.. Nothing is making sense because of all the people around here blocking the landmarks"

Torc let out his own sigh of relief as he saw Tiza relax. Torc allowed his shoulders to relax and his body to stand at ease. As he watched the small woman give him an explanation about why she was here, he smiled and nodded. He watched her pull out a map and his eyes widen as she explained that she didn’t know how to use it.

“Well that’s helpful, I am surprised you would carry such a thing around. Here let me help you.”

Torc moved closer to her and opened the map, he began to point to their current location. “See we are here, the reason is due to the shape that is scribed on the paper matches the size of the square.” Torc circled the area and then pointed to the buildings around them. “Also, I remember the previous streets that I had come from, so I know how to orientate the map.”

Torc moved the map to show the young woman, how to line it up with the rest of the streets. “Now I want to go here… So I take these streets.” Using his finger he traced the lines of streets and their connections to the Temple of the Gods. “Living in a city, is a lot like knowing where you place your things. Remember buildings and specialty shops at corners, for instance the street I took to get here had a red painted storm windows on the corner shop. You don’t necessary need to recognize everything as well.”

Torc began to point to the streets and traced the main roads. “See how the streets are big circles, it was built like a wheel. See the main streets, circle around the city, and these streets that intersect them are called spokes. If you remember the main wheels and spokes you should be able to get anywhere in the city.” Torc then began to fold the map back up, handing it back to the girl.

The girl seemed amazed at how Torc explained it all yet confused at the same time. Her ever wondering eyes looked around at places on the map and lined them up with the actual buildings. Somehow it was evident that she had never been in a city or atleast all that much.

"Ooh okay well i need to go um.. to the main part of the Bazzar. I'm sorry it's just that I have rarely been in a city or around this many people."

She scanned the map again and didnt seem to know where it was on the map. She took the map back and rolled it up like a scroll then put it back in her backpack. She blew the hair out of her face and looked up at you questioningly. She looked you up and down many times since you first tapped her and seemed to of finially come up with a question.

"You said your going to the temple? I dont meen to be rude or stereotypical but why is a big guy like you going to the temple?"

She asked with a child like curiosity. She really does have so many questions to ask, that much was evident. It was like she has one hundred different questions in her mind yet dosent know which needed to be asked first.

Torc looked at the girl, as she tried to make sense of her surroundings and the map. He would probably just be as lost as her if he hadn’t come from Zeltiva. After living in a big city, Torc knew that just like living in the wilderness one looked for features and noted them. A rock here or a fallen tree there, that was how one remembered their way in the forest. You had to make sure that you stay calm and learned the area. The city was much like the same kind of animal. People might have crowed the streets and loud voices from merchants might stop you from enjoying the calls of the gulls; but a sign here and a red house there, one could find their way back home.

Torc waited for the small girl to make up her mind about something. It was obvivious that she was trying to form some sort of opinion about Torc. So Torc waited; content to allow the conversation to continue. The world was always in a hurry and everyone had a plan. Strangely some of Torc’s greatest moments in life were unplanned and took time to come about.

“Well, perhaps, we could start with our names first. I am Torc Ironwood, how do you do?” Torc asked waiting for her response.

After Tiza was done, he then spoke again. “Though I believe your question to be innocent of malice, realize that just because I am large doesn’t mean that I don’t pray. A man must first understand himself, and then understand how he is connected to the world. However, in this case I am not going to the Temple to pray, there was a flyer posted a couple of weeks ago. I have journeyed here to try and join up with the group that advertised on the poster. It seems they are going to try and forge a new trail to a lost city, and I thought they could use my help.”

Torc smiled, and laughed a little. “As for the great bazaar, go down a little ways and enter that doorway over there, it seems the inside of the bazaar is what you are looking for.”

Tiza finially figured out where she was on the map and began to make sense of everything around her. She seemed to know how to navigate around nature and the forest more than anything, what gave that away was the smell of the wild on her and her lack of being in the city. She looked him up and down a bit then held out her hand.

"My name is Tiza Featherheart.. I truly am sorry for forming the question.. I didnt meen to sound weird or stereotypical, Im just ever curious. Would you like to come to the Great Bazzar with me then we can go to where you need to go together"

She looked at you like you are already her best friend. To trusting she seemed or maybe she just sensed something about him that she enjoyed. Torc noticed the smell most of all about her, it wasnt a bad smell but a wild smell.A smell that gave her away that she stayed in the forest and wild most of her life

“Well, Tiza Featherheart, I am glad to meet you, and like I said, I didn’t feel you were being mean or weird. It just that sometimes I find myself asking questions without thinking over their phrasing. Perhaps next time, ask if there is something going on at the temple instead. See Tiza, by asking why I am going and using the terms ‘big guy’, you make it sound as if I should be leaving heavy boxes and flexing my arms for women. Granted I do those things too, but if I was highly religious I would take offense. By asking about the temple and leaving your perceptions about me out of the question, it shows interest in why I am going. If I was religious I would state that I am making a holy pilgrimage, or perhaps the temple is giving a celebration for farmers, and you would have your answer without having to explain what you meant.”

Torc looked around and saw the entrance to the Great Bazaar. He tighten his lips a little, as he looked up to the sky. The sun hadn’t yet crested to late morning, he had some time to escort Tiza into the bazaar. “Well Tiza, I don’t have a problem escorting you. However, I don’t want to see your hands pick up a piece of fruit, without the other one giving coin for it.” Torc said in hush tones, but with authority. His gaze showed the girl that he did not think it was cute or funny, and it was going to stop while she was in his presence. “I will say this once, the merchant may be fat from his trade, but a farmer worked hard to grow that fruit and by taking it, you have hurt him more than the merchant.”

“Now,” Torc spoke once again as with a light tone, “Shall we proceed to the inside?” Torc was glad that because of his size, the crowd flow more around him instead of through him. Torc was a powerful man and feel people ever wanted to give offense to him. As he waited for Tiza’s response he smelled the earth along with various smells from food stalls. Breads, cheeses, and meats hung all around, but then again that was the city for you.
