Personality
Lilou is easily considered quiet young girl, as she rarely speaks in company. There are a few exception, when she begins talking rapidly and non-stop. When she is in trouble, or thinks she is, a flood of excuses and apologies flood from her mouth uncontrollably. This generally lasts for a bit, before stopping abrubtly. The other time is when alone, she often talks softly to herself, also generally simple nonsense.
She's also quite a submissive slave, never fighting against those who order her to do things, and generally does the job well. It's not that she loves her masters, but is impassive to them, neither liking or hating. This lack of caring passes through for most things, since at such a young age, she hasn't really developed her own opinions on things. However, she will take anything said around her to heart, no matter if it's a joke or not. Anything complicated will simply fly over her head, mostly from a lack of education.
If there's one thing the girl cares about, that is plants. It's the other main reason she doesn't mind being a slave, other than ignorance. She adores growing things, caring for any plant she comes across. Her happiest times are when alone, surrounded by a variety of plants, where she will begin talking with them about various things. In her mind, they are sentient beings who understand her, but just can't talk or move for themselves. They're similar to toy dolls of a normal girl her age, but Lilou has never had dolls.
Her age, though also bringing a lack of knowledge, also supply a vivid imagination. Though only expressing this in words when in solitude, her brain constantly makes up things that could never possibly exist in real life. This imagination, however, is rarely for happy things, but rather for dreadful, monstrous existences that appear out of no where. This causes her to be constantly afraid and jumpy (with an exception of being surrounded by her plants), and horribly scared of the dark.
History
Lilou's parents lived in Zelvita, her father an avid magician, her mother a herbalist with her own garden. One thing the young Lilou loved to do during her days was to sit among the plants, like she continues to do to the current day. All she wanted was to help her mother tend to the garden, and play with their cat. It was a perfect life for a little girl, and she loved it.
Her father, however, had different plans. He wished for his daughter to follow his path, and learn magic like he did. He was an incredibly impatient man, and so, when Lilou was barely 5, he decided to initiate her into morphing. It was a scary and pretty traumatic experience for the girl, though she eventually figured out how to separate her mind from her body, and change the color of one of her fingers. Her father, despite being a slightly cold and heartless man, was proud, and pampered his daughter even more than before. He was sure she would become an amazing magician, and follow in his footsteps, and he was proud.
A few seasons, on what should have been a gloriously beautiful and sunny day, Lilou wandered outside of her little home, and eventually out of the city. To her surprise, away from all the buildings, there was so much green! She spent the entire day wandering around, but as it grew dark, tragedy fell. She stumbled across a group of slavers, who quickly captured the innocent child, forcing her away from her home forever. After a long and grueling trip, they eventually brought her to Kenash, where she was sold to the Drear family, to work on their plantation.
However, Lilou remembers none of this, with one exception. She still knows how to change parts of her body slightly, though never does it in front of others, and it requires an incredible amount of effort. She doesn't really understand the change, but is curious about it, and on occasion likes to experiment with her funny power.
