The Basics Race: Dhani Subrace: Rattler Gender: Male Age: 119 years old Birthday: 393 AV, 24th Day of Fall Birthplace: Taldera Rattler Nest Appearance Snake: In this form Khrassvallen is just shy of 14 feet long, somewhere in the middle ground of 13 and a half. His scales are a mixture of yellow, blue, and a hint rusty orange in that order starting from his underbelly around to the top of his back. His eyes are a startling shade of blue to match his scales, and his pupils are pitiless vertical slits of fathomless black. Dhani: Khrassvallen's colors and eyes do not change from snake to Dhani, though he is several feet longer, reaching 15 foot from end to end. His fangs are long and sharp, retracting into his gums when he isn't on the strike. His wiry muscles are tough and hard like the coils of his tail that end in the club-like rattle he so loves to use when crushing prey. Though he isn't a constrictor, he loves to wrestle and stay physically fit, even if he lacks the strength to strangle prey to death with his body. He might not get along with his subracial cousins, but he has to admit they are onto something when it comes to ripping food apart with one's bare hands. Human: This is Khrassvallen's least favorite form. He feels as if he is wearing a meat suit, blending in with a herd of sheep, though it is necessary. As a human he stands 5'9" with a compact and muscular build. His thick hair is dark brown, almost black, and his eyes are still the same shade of blue. Normally he keeps a short beard in this form, enjoying the warmth it provides even if it does itch. His skin is tan and weathered from the sun, freckled faintly on the shoulders and neck. Personality With the Dhani, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Or really the egg from the nest. Khrassvallen is no different. He loves to play with his food; ripping it apart and watching the life drain away by his own hands. What he constitutes as food depends on the day. It could be anything from a squirrel to a deer, or his favorite, human. To him, humans are like cattle. While they need weapons and numbers to kill even some of the weakest of predators, Khrassvallen feels that Dhani are far superior in every way because of their natural and inherent abilities to kill. His favorite pastime is blending in with their kind to hunt for his next meal. To him it's no different than a farmer going out to pasture and plucking a plump hen from its flock for slaughter. Over the years Khrassvallen has befriended few creatures that were not his own kind, taking into consideration how short lived many of the other sentient citizens are, plus the fact that they're delicious. It would be like going to the park with a succulent steak while hungry, then trying to have a conversation with it and not taking a bite. Not impossible, but also not very fun. In general he is a sadistic and uncaring person, out for only himself. He wouldn't bat an eye at ripping a family to pieces if it meant a full belly and another day tacked onto his own lifespan. Or even just some entertainment. Despite being callous and indifferent, he has a soft spot for music, and likes to appreciate the many beautiful things in life, especially art and nature, as well as people on occasion, even if Khrassvallen does prefer to eat them after admiring them.
