Standing in the now abandon campsite. Des places his right hand over the cut on left shoulder from the throwing axe. brings his right palm to eyeshot to see if the cut is heavily bleeding. Luckily Des only sees a little blood covering his right palm. Now looking around the campsite for anything of use. The search prove futile, however they left their tents. Walking over one of the tents, he pulls out his kris grabs onto a piece of the tent and cuts a long strip off of the tent. Wraping the long strip around his cut to keep it clean.

Now Des has still has to find the bandit hideout. He made a promise to return the stolen valuables to the many people who have helped him narrow down the hideout's location. He begins to climb a nearby tree to get his bearings. Climbing the tree was more difficult with his injured arm, but it did not stop him from reaching a good vantage point. Takes out his spyglass and begins to comb the area. Peering through his spyglass at his surroundings. Des notices a light coming from the direction of Pavi Lake and it's quickly moving in his direction. Des remembers killing three bandits in the area of Pavi Lake. A cold chill runs down his spine. He quickly starts to climb down the tree, halfway down he slips and falls off the tree. Before hitting the ground he curls and rolls as he hits the ground to minimize damage. Staggers up he runs behind a nearby tree.

Four bandits each holding a torch crash through the forest and onto the road and abandon campsite. "Are you sure the man who murdered are boys went this way the burly bandit says to the thin bandit "? The thin bandit lowers his torch to the ground and studies the moved land. The thin bandit paused then spoke " yes and it looks like he ran into some trouble ". The other two bandits say " well where is he now "!? The thin bandit still looking to the ground waves them away as he studies the ground. As the thin bandit tracks Des the other two and the burly bandit walk to the edge of the road and watch the area.

Des was not about to let some bandits hunt him like some game. Sightly peering around the tree to observe his would be hunters. The burly bandit was lightly armored and carrier a big wood cutting axe, he was also in arms reach of Des. The two vanilla bandits where on each side of the road they carried longswords And the thin bandit had a dagger and throwing knives. Des' plan was simple wait for the burly bandit to turn his head. Then Des would stab him in the neck, Then proceed to take out the thin bandit and vanilla bandits with his bow and arrow.

The burly bandit turned his head. Des rushed behind him and covered his mouth as he pierced his neck with the kris. Des slowly layed the burly bandit to the ground. Sheathing his kris pulls out his bow and knocks an arrow. Firing an arrow at the thin bandit which pierces his heart. The two vanilla bandits hear the thin bandit's death scream and begin to charge Des. Des fires another arrow at the vanilla bandit to the left. Sending it right through his left eye. Goes to draw again but his injury causes him to drop his arrow in mid draw. The vanilla bandit swings for Des' head. Des ducks and the bandit's sword sinks itself into a tree. The bandit frantically tries to pull out his sword. Des trips the bandit causing him to fall to the ground. Des unsheathe his kris and places it to the bandit's throat.

The bandit yells to Des " mercy please mercy ser "! Des retorts " only if you answer my questions, question one how many of you are their "? The bandit says in stuttering whinny voice " now that you killed most of us all that is left including me is five "! Des asks his second question " will you take me to you hideout "? The bandit snorts and says " yes just don't kill me "! Des withdraws his kris pushes him to his back and places his knee into the bandits back. pulls out his rope cuts ten feet off and bring the bandit's hands together and ties his hands behind his back. Sheaths his kris and gets off the bandits back. Walks to a nearby tree ties the other and of the rope to the tree " stay " Des says to the bandit. looks to the dead bandits and walks over to them to collect the bracers and used arrows.

Collecting the dead bandit's bracers and the few mizas they had. Sits down and takes a litte brake from all the fighting. His brake however is interrupted by the bandit's annoying question and requests. " It's dark i can't see a thing, this rope is tight and i'm hungry " the bandit continue to drone on about his needs. Until Des finally gets to his breaking point runs over to him and points his kris to his mouth and says. " i'll cut your tongue out of your mouth if you say another word " staring into the bandit's eyes! The bandit instantly stops talking and just looks at Des. Des smiles and ties to rope off the tree then looks to him and asks " which way is your camp "? The bandit looks around then looks back at Des and shrugs. " You told me you knew where it was " Des barked at the bandit! Once again the bandit looks blankly at Des with no response. Des annoyingly looks at the bandit and tells him " you can answer my questions and i will not cut your tongue off ". The bandit speaks as politely as he can not to set Des off " Well - umm ser i can not see so i can not guide you to your destination ". Des embarrassingly says " oh sorry about that i forget sometimes that humans are useless and don't call me ser, my names Des ". The bandit ignores the insult and directs Des in the way of Pavi Lake. The bandit tries to tell Des his name, but Des starts to drag him along before he could introduce himself.

Des dragging the bandit through the forest. Des could see but the bandit was not as blessed. Every step the bandit took he was either getting smack in the face with a tree branch or stepping in something. He could not count how many times he has tripped only to be dragged by Des. They reached Pavi Lake he was covered in cuts and bruises, looks to Des and says " Don't you have any prisoner ethics "? Des looking to the bandit " your alive unlike your friends, now which way now "? The bandit sits down and refuses to get up " i need a break i'm bleeding, in pain and tired " the bandit says in a weak voice. Des yanks on the rope a few times and yells multiple threats, but the bandit just lays on the ground. In a defeated voice Des says " fine i'll give you five minutes ".

Des ties his end of the rope to a stump near the edge of the lake. Sits down looking towards the bandit and asks " which way is the camp "? The bandit turns to Des and responds with " if you promise to free me then i will tell you ". Des gives a nod and waits for his answer. Quickly without hesitation he tells Des " are camp is on the other side of the lake, now free me ". Holds out his hands and waits for Des to free him. Des takes out his spyglass and peers over the lake, he sees the bandit's camp and it's occupants sitting around the campfire. Satisfied he puts his spyglass away and walks over to the bandit pulls out his kris and cuts his throat left to right. The bandit's neck bursts open spraying blood all over the ground. chocking on his blood the bandit falls over. Stares at Des his mouth appears to be moving, but all that comes out are incoherent gurgles.

Cleaning off his blade as the bandit passes. Des begins to relieve the bandit of his clothes. Dresses himself in the furs of the bandit he begins to nonchalantly walk towards the camp. The bandits sitting around the campfire talking about their recent troubles. " so the boss and Rendly went after the hunter you think their alright "? " hell if i know don't forget about the to newbies ", The bandits continue to talk and drink. Des walking up to the camp places his hand on the shoulder of one of the bandits. The bandit turns only to face a knife to the throat. Des grabs another bandit and shoves him head first into the flames, pulls his kris from the bandits throat and throws it into the third bandit's head. The forth bandit stumbles up as the flaming bandit screams as he rolls around to put out the flame. The forth bandit stumbles towards Des, raises his sword and swings at Des. Des easily steps out of the way, grabs onto the hilt of the bandit's sword and lifts it into the bandit's head. Takes his kris from the dead bandit's head and finishes off the bandit on fire.

Undressing himself and putting his clothes back on the smell of burning flesh was enough to make him sick to his stomach. Collecting the bracers from the dead he looks over to a chest in one of the tents. Walking over to the chest with the tent he notices a journal. Picking up the journal he skims through the pages, it seems to be the journal of the late leader of the bandits. It seem that the bandits had a agreement with a merchant to stop any would be competitors. Des puts the journal in his backpack for later use. Opening the chest all of the stolen goods seem to be their. It's to much to carry back he thinks to himself. He walks out of the tent and puts out the fire. As much as he hated the idea Des leaves the chest and walks back to the city to ask for the help of the knights.
