Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Safe from the kid, but not from the city she thought although only they were at the park now so they could have a little calm. And it sounded like a deal but it wasn't. She was following him and she was still gazing at the flowers while he was speaking. But the beauty was nothing, she had to realize. It was only the appearance. She looked back Vanator and she nodded.

What a kind spirit, he had no judges and he tried to help her. She would smile but she couldn't. She continued."Servant? I more believe I am his child, his daughter. Tanroa appointed Syna and Leth to be the Sun and the Moon, they show the time which is passing away. Syna's children..." She was pointing at the Sun. "...shows their heavenly body at the Sun's light. Their skin, their hair, horns and eyes colors show Syna's brightness and joy. Those who has been chosen by Leth, and being his children, just like me, shows their ethaefal form at Leth's domain. Our colours shows Leth's calmness which he found at Syna's love. A thoughtful Moon god. "

She kept a little break. She sighed and continued. "As they show how the days and nights are passing, somehow we shows the seasons passing. Our hair and horn colours changing by every season." She put off her hood and looked at Vanator's face. "And as you said, if my father gives a kiss to Syna and changing roles, I'll become my mortal self. Same for a Syna ethaefal, just in that case at Leth's domain. They have the reason why they chose the form we are in... it's just we had to find it for ourselves. And it's not an easy job. But now I don't know why am I here, as a symenestra. You know, we fall to an ocean, to sea or maybe a lake. We are naked, we have no family, we feel we lost something, we know nothing. " She turned away and smiled. "But I was lucky, because somebody was there and took care of me. My raven!"

Eida made it sound eloquent, the explanation of her kind and the affinity for the deities that rule day and night. The Drykas felt both awed by her almost supernatural nature and the humanity of her uncertainties and questions. Vanator thought again of her nocturnal appearance, the curl of ivory horns and silvery blue hair. The Ethaefal had seemed to embody the temperament of Leth, unlike the fanged Symenestra she became at dawn.

"A raven, that is your Kelvic friend?" He asked. "I know a Kelvic raven as well." He grinned as he thought of Dust. "We are not bonded, but she is very sweet, and a good friend."

Vanator's gaze fell to the amethyst-eyed Symenestra-like woman again. He felt for Eida, her identity crisis. She was forced into the body of a race that made it challenging and difficult to find help. It could only have been worse if she were incarnated as a male Sym, or, gods forbid, a Zith. For all of her unnerving appearance to the eyes, the Eth was no more than a lost and confused woman. The Drykas thought again about the disgust and fear that Syms evoked in most others and sighed, Eida would have to live with that, at least while Syna reigned. He was not sure he wanted to tell her everything, why people were repulsed by Symenestra, and feared the males. But she should at least have an understanding.

"Eida, there is a reason why that boy threw a rock at you, and why you recieved those stares on the streets. Your kind, well, Symenestras, tend to touch a nerve inside some people. They...you, resemble...spiders. The fangs, the long, thin arms and legs, the claws," Vanator glanced down at the black nails on her fingertips, "...at an irrational level, that unnerves people. Some call them 'Widows', like black widow spiders."

Vanator started to walk again, talking to Eida beside him. He did not know a lot of facts about Symenetra, but he had heard stories. "It is said that a Symenestra's fangs have a poison that dissolves the insides of whatever it bites, and then it feeds on the liquid produced, like a spider does." He glanced sidelong at the Eth, hoping what he was revealing was not too upsetting. He decided not to talk about the males and harvesting. It was unpleasant and not something she needed to fear being accused of. If she wanted to know, Eida could research further.

"You could probably find a book with more details at the library here, it is pretty extensive."

She looked at Vanator and was staring at his eyes. She was searching something which she couldn't find. She turned away and sat down next to a beautiful bush. She was reaching to one of its beautiful flower but she stopped as soon as she saw her claws. No she didn't want to do it, she was even afraid now to touch everything because she will ruin it."My lover yes, my bondmate. He is my only one." She turned around and smile.

But that smile wasn't honest, wasn't bright she was just insisting it and tried to be strong which was hard. She turned away again and was staring at the flowers and the bush. She was really confused about her life again, she was very confused about everything now. What a beautiful city, with nasty people who judges by the look. She could understand them and not.

Eida wasn't sure if she wanted to know more about this. She wanted but she was afraid what she would find out. Poison which dissolves, she only ate fruits and vegetables so she wasn't hungry. No she won't go to the library she didn't want to know anymore. Not now. "Hmm... I see. What a wonderful reason to throw stones at me. I will certainly read after my race so I can throw at myself one or two too... without reasons. " She was angrier now which she didn't really find herself with. And it was unreasonable thing to say too from her.

She looked around carefully and checked if only they were there. Then she cut off a flower with her claw from the bush. She smelled it, it had a nice scent. It's color was violet, like her ethaefal eyes. Then she started to pull off its petals one by one. "You know I could be wrong but that means people in here judge by the look. Doesn't even care about the inside. Look at this flower, beautiful isn't it?" She showed it to him and then continue the 'process with it'. "But if you look closely to its stem it has some thorns... So yes it MUST BE a dangerous thing. The faster you start to get rid of it the better. Althought you forgot to realize that it has some reasons that it has thorns: to protect itself from some insects or other animals. It won't kill you just give you a bad experience. " She pulled off the last petal and only the stem remained with the two tiny thorns on it. "I don't say symenestra race would have any reason for these but the look is only the look. Some of them saw me while I'm transforming just like you and they didn't care who I was, only that at one of my past life I was a symenestra. I had other lifes and mabye YOU or THEY could be one of them too, a symenestra."

She put the stem back under the bush. She let out some tears now. She had so much inside of her she couldn't act like she was strong. She was wiping off her tears from her face she didn't want to cry. Not in front of him.

So the Kelvic was her lover. Vanator hoped the raven man was able to help his bondmate with her struggle, Kelvics sometimes had difficulties comprehending the complexities of human emotions if they had not been raised in a human home. He had wished the Kelvic were there now, Eida needed him.

The woman sunk deeper into her melancholy, obviously dismayed by the welcome she received in Riverfall. He watched her thin, pale hand as ebony clawed fingers plucked the colorful pedals from the flower one by one. She had a point, of course, but it was not as simple as accepting someone for who they were.

"I don't know Eida. Not everyone is like that here. But people would have no reason to know what you really are. They have no reason to assume you are any different than a true Sym. Even those who don't know anything about Ethaefal may be wary if they saw your true form. You are beautiful, but people can be afraid of what they don't understand."

The pretty flower now stripped of its pedals, was cast away as a useless stick. Vanator saw the tears well up in her eyes, beginning to trickle down an ashen cheek. He reached up to brush away a strand of cobweb-like hair, stuck to the trail left by a tear on her skin.

"There are those, like your bondmate, or me, who can see past your appearance. Those are the ones you pay attention to. The others are not worth your time." Eida had made a curious comment, about past lives. Vanator knew that some lived past lives, Kavala had revealed to him that she knew past identities, discovered as she delved into her devotion to Nysel. But the idea that one could have been another race, like Symenestra, or Zith, was unnerving.

She stopped crying. It was even painful too and she didn't want to do it in front of him. Her emotions were going crazy. She didn't trully know what she felt. Anger? Sadness? Melancholy? OR all of them at once? It didn't matter for her all she knew she had new strange feelings which she didn't feel before or she didn't feel them so intensively like now. She wasn't even sure now if Vanator's words was making her more angry or they were comforting.

"No... they don't... Nobody has any reason to know me! Neither do I! Neither do you, Vanator! " She was out of her mind. She was trying to not get moody but she was failing. She became rude first to Vanator when she didn't want to. He was helping her and that's how she said thanks. She stood up and looked at her wrist. Leth mark was still there. No she couldn't lose her mind now, her father will be disappointed and Eida will regret it too.

Suddenly she was remembering something. Again a shard from her past life. She was pregnant and suddenly she felt a painful bite in her stomach but in the same time she was happy somehow. She shook her head and was wondering: 'That bite? Could that be... my own baby bit me?' Even the thought was scary but why was she so happy. She calmed down and was about to ask Vanator again.

But she changed her mind. The way she was talking to Vanator was rude and he had his own problems now. She turned around in front of him tried to smile. She didn't want him to worry more or have a bad opinion about her. Her arms was moving she couldn't control it and hugged him. She needed a friend hug. Because for her he was a friend already. "I'm sorry! I'm really sorry! " That's all she could say and for the first time, she felt the loss like she never did before. She was too confused too lost. She had so much melancholy in her. She had homesickness for the first time too."I want to go back... I wanna be with him again, Vanator! I never asked, I never cried for it but now I really wanna be with Leth again."

She couldn't be strong now. She needed time to think everything all over. And she needed to talk with his lover. She was still holding Vanator for a little bit although and a point she had to let him. "I will be better I swear! I just realized now how naive I was. Thank you and I'm sorry for making trouble for you. But I know Leth wouldn't choose me if I really would be the monster that others see in me"

OOCSorry this is so late!

Eida was a mess. Ethaefal were supposed to be graceful beings, having lived in the wisdom of the Ukalas, living drops of divinity walking amongst the mundane mortals of Mizahar, or so Vanator had always thought. As it turns out, they are as normal as anyone, lost souls plunged from their celestial homes to the common domain, without understanding, without purpose, and trapped half of their new lives in the shell of some former existence. It was a fate he would not wish to endure. For this reason, the Denusk took no offense at Eida's harsh words, spoken out of desperation and despair.

So, standing before him was a tearful Symenstra that was not a Symenestra, trying her hardest to put on a smile in the middle of a city that would not welcome her. Vanator flinched only slightly as Edia wrapped her arms around him in a firm embrace. The Drykas certainly would never have imagined himself hugging a Symenstra. But she wasn't, he reminded himself.

Vanator patted her as they embraced, trying to comfort her. The Drykas could feel the frailty of the Sym body in his arms, thinner than her more shapely divine form. The Eth was gushing apologies, beside herself with homesickness. Van was a loss for words. This dilemma was beyond him. The only advice he had, all he had learned from his own experience, was that you just suck it up and move on. Van had a feeling that, at the moment, such firm words would only make Eida feel worse. Besides, he had no idea what her 'move on' would be.

And where was this Kelvic lover? Why had they come to Riverfall anyway? They obviously did not know the temperament of the Akalaks, or they would not have dared enter the city. "I don't know much about the Moon God, but I would pray that he gives you direction, if he has a plan for you." The man looked into the woman's amethyst gaze, the pupils large and strange. The embrace was released, and Vanator mustered a warm smile, his hand catching the long, slender hand of the Eth. It was warm, not the cool pall he would have assumed given the ashen color of its flesh. The tips of long black nails tickled the inside of his wrist.

"You have caused no trouble for me. Not as much as I have stirred for myself in the past!" Vanator released Eida's hand. "You need to find your Kelvic, before he finds trouble himself. Try to avoid busy places, until sundown. Then you can find a place to stay. Staying in Riverfall will not be easy, but you can manage it for a while if you are careful."

What a nice man he was, thought Eida. And he was absolutely right. She had to do that, but she also had to weit the night. It was more safe. She rubbed her eyes and was thinking if she sneak out from the city or go after Arckhebohn. She couldn't clearly think, she was a mess. She looked at him and nodded. But staying here. She couldn't, not at that state.

"I'll stay here till Sun down..." She said. Yes it will be the best for her. She was searching in her package for the map she took away. She found it and was showing to Vanator."I'm sure you have other duties to do for the day. Before you leave can you.." She was nervous to ask but she had to.".. can you show me where could I find you? Of course I wouldn't come as a symenestra but if sometime after the sunset if I could visit you. I would be appreciated. You acted as a good friend for me. And I think I can call you as a friend, Vanator. Leth may bless you!" She tried to smile again. At least she had a friend here but these days are going to be bad for her for sure.

How could the gods leave these kind to just find their own way? They don't know who they are or....he paused in his fuming. Who was he to questions the divine? Still, here stood a very confused being. Vanator laid his hand gently on Eida's shoulder. He felt a twinge of concern leaving her by herself. But he could not take her from the city and leave her Kelvic companion. If she was careful, and aided by Leth, the Eth could find her Kelvic and come up with a plan. Van planned to mention the woman's presence to Riaris or the other Akalaks he had met, to try to keep the Kuvay'Nas from hassling his friend.

"I live at the Sanctuary. It is a facility that cares for animals and Kelvics. It is a couple miles north of the city, there is a road that follows into the woods,, it will take you there."
With some explanation, Kavala would understand Eida's appearance. "Take care of yourself, Eida of Leth, be wise, and keep your hood up. Stick close to your Kelvic. Come see us, if you wish." Vanator offered Eida a warm smile and brushed her pale cheek with his hand before leaning in and kissing her on the forehead.

OOCOkay I had to reply now! :D

She was checking on the map. North of the city, a road which will take her there. She was thinking to visit there once. Taking cares animals it could be fun. But she was a bit unsure about kelvics as she saw them equal. But she forget that detail quickly in her mind. And sticking close to her bondmate wasn't a bad idea actually. She was wondering: How was he doing the city now?

She didn't expect the kiss on the forehead. She was surpised for a bit and couldn't help but smile. But in the same time she felt embarrassed. She put her hood on and said good bye for real now to Vanator."Once again, Thank you. We will see each other again! That's a promise!" And with that she walked away from him still only gazing at the flowers alone, in peace till the night came for her.
