Job given -here- 62 Spring 513(Late Morning) As Clyde arrived at the institute on this day, he did not head straight to the office of the man who had asked for his translating services. He did not even plan to tell him much of who he was, or why he had taken the job... Though he would know some facts just by the fact that he could enter the institute, which a select number in Ravok could. He was in fact a student, though not one of Luvet's, and worked with the Stryfe, though that was not why he took the job. It also was not, as many might assume, for the money. In that regard, Clyde was quite well off, from his other endeavors of magic, and a few side things. He did not need to worry overly much about funds. No, he was simply interested in picking up what info he might, honing a few skills he had not used in awhile, in this case that of his knowledge of the ancient tongue... And maybe meet some interesting people. It was not to much to ask was it? Honestly, he had not expected many people in Ravok to know of the ancient tongue, or to have need of translation services in it. By its nature it meant the person was either a scholar, very old, or a mage. or some combination of them. It was for this that Clyde had decided to learn more of the man he had been asked to meet. Luvet. He went to the front, asked around, found a directory, and learned that he was the teacher of... Morphing? He had not known what the teacher would be, but it was interesting to say the least that he was a mage... What could he possibly need translated? Though he did not know a lot about morphing, as he did not practice it, he knew it was a personal magic. So studying ancient tomes and such, would lend little to a persons usage of the magic. No formula, or ritual, was needed for personal magic. He had expected him to be a general scholar, or a world mage... But learning he was a morpher, just made him all the more interested. And made him sure to not trust anything he saw. For when facing a man with a thousand faces, how could you assume what your eyes showed you? Perhaps even your other senses... |
