NPC and Pavilion Requests You need NPCs? You need pavilions? Just want to get some info out on the smelly tent you stay in? Well have I got an offer for you. Just follow the templates below and you'll be set. Fill out the information and boom, a shiny new NPC or pavilion will be ready for use. This isn't just for NPC stuff, though. Write about the pavilion you're in, let people know what your family is all about, and even more important, let people know if it's accepting PC members. There will be an ever growing list made out of this information, and it will exist thanks to your hard work! Note that all NPCs created here are public NPCs. It means you don't have control over them. Anyone can use them. If you want a personal NPC that you have total say over, follow these rules will set you in the right direction. Frown lines are permanently etched into the tanned skin of his forehead, but laughter lines around his eyes reveal that his habitually stern look often breaks into good humour especially when with his grandchildren. His dark hair is starting to show the first signs of grey is pulled back in a plait revealing his eyes are an icy blue. His clothing is functional but well cared for and he cares little for show.

History: Married into the Windchaser Pavilion to help rebuild it, Adetse was a reluctant bride. Surdar won her over with his patient kindness, but with rebuilding the herd left to her she became the power behind the throne of the family and is not someone to be crossed or to forgive.

Description: Haydar is a tall man at the height of six foot two inches, his weight of 190 makes him wiry and lean. His face reflects a life lived in the sun, and with care as already at the age of 29 lines are found around his eyes, mouth, and forehead. His hair is black, with only the tiniest hint of browns within the strands, and his eyes are grey as the mist on a cloudy day. His clothing is nothing special, and some can say they might have seen better days, but they are serviceable and well maintained.
History: Fallan's eldest brother, Haydar was imbued at an early age the sense of responsibility and hard work. He rarely shirked the work and responsibilities placed on him, which included marrying young to try and produce more Drykas heirs. He survived the pox and the attacks, as well as the general hard living in the moving city, but not without scars. He can seem intolerant and cold, merciless and in-compassionate. However it is mostly because he understands that out in the Grass plains life is never certain, and can be short if one is not careful and wary.

Appearance: Adelia stands at a petite five foot four inches, her weight is proportionate at 110 lbs. Her hair hangs to her waist when not braided, though that is rare to be seen. In braids the dark brown strands are twisted tightly so that they actually raise to mid back. Her eyes are a brilliant blue, that portrays the inner intelligence of the woman. Her clothing is usually bright, her love of life apparent in the decorative fabrics she chooses.
History: Adelia, the second oldest in Fallan's sibling is more closely like his temperament and goals then their older brother Haydar. Adelia learned well the art of horse breeding, though she was not as adept in trading as her brothers. She was simply too carefree to worry much on haggling over prices. She would, and did, rather spend her time with the family's horses. While she did not shirk her duties, nor run off away from her family she did restrain from marrying for the moment.

Appearance: Skylar is a short man, standing at five foot nine inches tall, his weight at 210 but it is all thick muscle. His hair is closely trimmed, shaggy only slightly over the ears and is as most of the family dark that it could be black. His eyes are also blue, much like his sister Adelia's though instead of being keenly intelligent, his are flat and intimidating. His clothing is form fitting, again worn but maintained, and there is little that is loose or can be used as a liability in a struggle.
History: Skylar does not have the keen intelligence as his brothers, nor does he have the free spirit of Adelia. Instead his is more of a contemplating and intimidation. His usual wont, when things do not go his way, is to find a physical solution to his problems rather then to find a more feasible problem. This is probably why he works more with the leatherworking, away from too much interaction with potential customers or clients.

Name: Grassrider Clan: Emerald Approx Size: 24 Ankal: Lyrad Grassrider Specialty: The breeding of falcons and Luvanors. Accepts PC Members?: Yes Current PC Members: Copper History: The Grassriders are an old, well established pavilion of the Emerald Clan. They have dabbled in several specializations, but after long experimentation settled into breeding fine hunting dogs and fierce falcons. Their packs have diverse, strong bloodlines and their birds are handled expertly. All are raised and trained to be exceptional hunting companions. The pavilion itself is ran by Lyrad Grassrider. Ankal status was passed to him by an aging father who now advises his son. The rest of the clan is comprised of the Ankal's three wives, their six children, eight grandchildren, and three grandmothers--the wives of the old Ankal. Along with Copper there is one other Kelvic; a kestrel who is bonded to the Ankal's first daughter.

Only a few years after giving birth to a son, her husband and the Ankal of their young pavilion took ill from an infected inflicted by a lion and soon died. This left her shouldering the weight, since her husband had no male siblings. When her son was old enough, he took charge after being groomed for the position of leadership. Not long after this, she was confronted by the Goddess Caiyha and given her gnosis. Antea's work with animals and the preservation of wild game and their grassland had caught the deity's attention. Now, with her son in control of their budding pavilion she took on her own role as a Witch of the Wilds. Over the years she gained a second mark, and while helping protect the lands on which the Drykas lived, she also guided her son and the rest of the family with wisdom and experience.

His mother had prepared him for the position of leadership through childhood and adolescence. He quickly took a first wife and produced first a daughter and then a son that would one day take on the role of Ankal. Two more wives followed, and soon the pavilion was thriving. Joren became renown for his work in breeding Luvanors and establishing the family's profession, while his first wife introduced falconry among them. He finally passed the title of Ankal to his eldest son as his sixtieth year drew nearer, and now advises his children as a sort of patriarch like his mother did for him.

Up until that point he studied the trade of breeding Luvanors under his father and practiced at the hunt. During this time he was gifted a single gnosis from Oriana, whilst out on a trip into the Sea of Grass he found a pair of bear cubs and returned with them to be raised in the pavilion, under the condition that they be released upon adulthood. Their mother had been killed by glassbeaks, and he happened upon the youngster by chance. Several took to calling Lyrad "the Bear", both because of this and his sheer size. He married his first wife a few years after reaching maturity and they soon chanced a pair of twins--girl and boy. Several years later Joren finally stepped down as Ankal and Lyrad took up the title. He married twice more and between the three of them bore six children who in turn have thus far given the pavilion eight additional youngsters. He governs the Grassrider family with quiet strength, a firm hand, but loving nature. His family is of the utmost importance, and he wants nothing more than to see them flourish.

Name: Plainrunners Clan: Emerald Approx size: 9 Ankal: Torin Specialty: Hunters and Dog Breeders Accepts PC Members?: Yes (no mysteriously appearing siblings, marriage or other workaround must be found) Current PC Members: Teviik History: The Plainrunners are a modest Pavilion, though that does not stifle their passion for what they do. Hunting and/or dogbreeding seem to be so interwoven into their nature one might say it is passed on at birth. As a family the Plainrunner's are tightly knit. The family is made up of the Ankal his two wives, two sons, three daughters, and his father. They are usually located a few hours ride to the front of Endrykas, often traveling back to bring in their haul. In the winter they migrate back to Endrykas seeing as it's safer to remain with other's.

Name: Torin Plainrunner Race: Human, Drykas Pavilion: Plainrunner Clan: Emerald Date of Birth: 471 Place of Birth: Endrykas, Cyphrus Title/Job: Ankal Skills: Tracking 57, Hunting 41, Weapon: Shortbow 32, Weapon: Dagger 28, Leadership 42, Riding 38, Animal Husbandry 28 Gnosis: None History: Torin was born into a traditional hunter Pavilion with a strong respect and reverence to Caiyha. While he was not known for his skill with the bow nor riding he was praised for his excellent ability to track and was almost always able to guarantee a good hunt. His passion extended not only to tracking on the hunt but also to the raising of the hunting dogs and cats they kept. He brought his love for animals, specifically dogs, to his own pavilion after he'd married and had children. Overall Torin is a sharp and shrewd man who is content with his place in life.

When the time came he stepped up as Ankal though he had been the second son. It was never spoken of among the family why his brother had been cast out, nor would Kasiim ever seem inclined to share. The event though had made him a somber man, for the two had been close. In his old age he has gained the humor of an adoring grandfather, along with the experience and wisdom that the pavilion treasure's him for. He can often be found with the younger children in the pavilion or among the dogs he breeds. Even for a man going into his late 60's he remains strong though not as he'd once been.

She attempts to keep a leash of sorts on her younger sister's seeing herself as their guide and rolemodel. Her greatest aspiraton is to become a dutiful wife and sees that it should be a priority not only for her self but her sister's as well. Aside from learning what she can from Tamii and Alinia, she also enjoy's weaving and can be found most often practicing in front of the pavilion when she has no other duties. She tends to clash with Telisa but adore's Livya.

She spends much of her time looking for herbs and gathering them for simple poulituces and remedies for the pavilion. She is caring and passionate for all members of her family often being the one stepping to help arguing sibling's and parents.

Name: Tamii Race: Human, Drykas Pavilion: Plainrunner Clan: Emerald Date of Birth: 17, Winter, 471 AV Place of Birth: Endrykas, Cyphrus Title/Job: First Wife Skills: Persuasion 24, Singing 27, Leatherworking 36, Intimidation 27 Gnosis: None History: Tamii can be as sweet as honey or as harsh as the coldest winter. Tamii is definitely what every Ankal needs. Though the leading of the family is up to the Ankal and he rules with an Iron fist she is the subtle hand that ensures the fist does not get used. Often she is intimidating enough that minor issues that would only consume Torin's time never make it there. She is idolized by Amirya and she and Telisa often struggle to get along. Surprisingly even with her laid back and soft personality Alinia and Tamii are quite fond of each other, more like best friends than sister wives.

History: The Hiddencreeks are relatively new, compared to most Pavilions. Their line began with a foreigner, bonding with a Strider, and deciding to sire a new Pavilion. The Hiddencreeks are known for being slightly sneakier than their fellow Drykas, and for their skill in horeseback archery and breeding of hunting companions. The clan consists of the Ankal, Karan, and his two wives (he remarried after the death of his first wife), 6 children, 13 grandchildren, his uncle, his uncle's single wife, and, until recently, Lenya.

He was quick to learn webbing. However, the death of his two older brothers in a hunting accident resulted him taking the family name and continuing the Stormchaser pavilion. On day, Ly'la made the mistake of attempting to steal Tunc's Strider, which was, to her, just a horse. The attempt was unsuccessful and he took her as a captive as repayment. The girl slowly integrated into their society, and by the time she was allowed to leave, she wanted to stay.
