Title Goes Here
Summer 1st 513 AV, 13th Bell

Artur walked along the path down to the docks of the Patchwork Port, eyes wonderous as he looked at all of the different structures that filled the place. Each individual building looked different in some aspect, whether it was the color, shape, size, even the building itself would look a little different somehow. When he arrived at the sandy shore of the port he found himself even more amazed, as the sea seemed to stretch on endlessly before him. 'Wooooow! So this is what the ocean looks like huh? Its amazing!' A wide smile hung on his face as he shielding his eyes from the sun, and looked at the endless horizon that stretched before him. Pretty blue hughs both light and dark stretched on endlessly, as if the horizon itself became a part of the sky and the sea. He wondered what it would be like to sail across the sea, to find new places that waited for him to discover. He had quite an adventure during his time here in Alvadas, an adventure he spent learning about good food and being lost in the city itself. He hadn't really learned just who Ionu was exactly, even though it was a subject the city quite fondly spoke of. Alvadas' culture and illusional trickery would definitely be remembered in this bear's mind of course, as he had an entire season of fun in the city that loved to change around.

Yet he felt ready to move on, and for some reason when he looked out and admired the sea and all of its glory he felt a call out there. Somewhere beyond the horizon something tugged at the strings of his heart, as he yearned to know what could be found beyond the waters that stretched before him endlessly. There were big wooden things at the docks, things Artur never really knew existed before until now of course, and they floated up and down as people would walk on them and off onto the docks. He could only assume that the wooden things were a means of transportation. However simply wondering what an object was.never helped anybody learned anything, and so the curious bear walked along the docks to a man that tied a rope connected to one of the big wooden floating objects to a post. From what Artur could see he had messy auburn hair and a well built physique, dirt covered his face and body and a scar was adorned across his nose. "Pardon me, but what is this huge thing?"

The man looked up to Artur in amazement, as if he never had heard such a question being asked before. He bursted into laughter before the bear which confused Artur greatly, he hadn't the slightest idea as to what he said being so funny. "That's rich mate! Ye ain't nev' seen a ship b'fore?!" He mused with another laugh to follow, Artur kinda chuckled with him as he found the man's laughing rather entertaining.

"What does a 'ship' do exactly? Can it carry people across the sea?" He asked with enthusiasm, the laughter finally died as the man looked at him astonished. Disbelief present in his expression, but Artur only waited to hear his answer.

"Yer kiddin'. The ship is used for trade and transport, sailors use them to ferry all sortsa goods as well as people." He explained to the bear, curious as to how he didn't know such a thing existed.

"Perfect! Are you a sailor them?" He inquired with a cheer, a smile filled his vacant expression as he continued to wait.

"Am I a sailor?! What kind o' petchin' cave've ya come out of?!"

"The Wolf's Den." He simply replied, which led to another laugh. He was confused as to why he said something so funny, as he failed to think of his response as a retort.

"Aye," the man gasped as he clutched his side, "Ye're pretty damn funny mate, for what reason 're ya wonderin' 'bout the ship?"

"I'm thinking on leaving, but not sure if I should."

"Hmm," He examined Artur up and down for good measure, "Ain't got any stuff with ya, best to usually pack some things 'fore ya leave. What's keepin' ya from leavin' anyway?" He inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"Nothing. At least I don't think I'm being kept, though I do work at the Rose." He looked to the boards of the dock in puzzlement, did he really want to leave the city now?

"Well tell ya what," The sailor stood up and brought Artur close with an arm wrapped over his shoulders, "Ye take yer time and think on it, and if ya decide ya do want to leave, then say goodbye to all yer friends. Let all of them at 'the Rose' know yer movin' on and then pack yer shyke. This 'ere ship ain't leavin' 'til a few bells later, so ya got time."

Artur considered the words the sailor gave him, and nodded as he felt the man urge him back to the city. It would be a very long bell of constant though as what he should decide, but as he found himself eager to see what lies beyond the waters horizon once more he soon came to his conclusion. It was clear then his mind had been made up. Artur packed up what belongings were his and went to stop by Lounel's right away which took a another bell to find, and he told his friend what his plans were.

"Leaving to find out what else is out there. Gotta admit that's a bit brave for you, you sure you can handle not being homesick?" He teased with a loose grin.

"It's the chance to learn what else is out there you know! Gotta start somewhere!" He responded energetically, a small chuckle could be heard from Lou.

"Well I'll be, look at you growing into your britches. You don't have to worry about telling the Raenah at the Rose, I'll explain everything to them." He opened his arms and gave Artur a hug, the loose smile still there as he nodded to the bear. "Stay safe out there buddy, its a dangerous world to be trekking."

"I'll try. You take care of yourself too Lou Chou." Artur mused with a big grin, the goodbye beginning to feel a bit bittersweet.

"Get out of here!" Lounel lightly pushed him with a laugh, proud to see his "apprentice" finally heading off on his own. Artur took his travel pack and with one final look back to Lounel and his place, he sighed as he kept a mental image in his head for the memory. He definitely wouldn't be forgetting this place or his friends anytime soon. When he finally arrived at the port again and met with the sailor, the two discussed how travel would work and how much it would cost. After Artur paid the appropriate amount he boarded the ship, and soon found that the ship set sail. There was no turning back now, and with the company of sailors and other passengers Artur would learn more about the world. Their destination was Syliras or so he was told, but he hadn't a clue what Syliras was anyway. Just another place he would explore and learn about, just like he did with Alvadas. His adventure only just begun.
