Physical Description
Aidemma has thick, wavy hair the color of a deep red, almost mahogany. An arc of freckles cross her nose and travel up her cheeks to the corners of her eyes, aside from these she is fair skinned and burns readily. She has a pleasant face, with high cheek bones and a sharply cut jaw. Her eyebrows are high and she has always taken pride in her ability to wiggle them anyway she pleased. Beneath her expressive brow her eyes are a calmer, softer blue-green. The young woman is about 5'5” and in good shape, weighing about 126 pounds, with a pleasing hour glass figure. Most of Aidemma is pale, but her forearms are freckled and tanned, the result of many seasons and sunny days.
Character Concept
Aidemma is a calm soul, and shy. Never has she been known to pick a fight, at least not beyond a friendly debate, and no one out of her immediate family has seen her loose her temper. She can be too passive at times, watching something and fretting over it for periods before moving to do something. The young woman is friendly and cheerful in familiar company, and rather subdued amongst strangers. Although she can be quite eloquent at times Aidemma feels most comfortable speaking in ink. She has said before that it feels like a suspension of time, where thoughts can ripen to their sweetest before being heard. Aidemma has spent most of her time with books, from these she has absorbed much of the histories and legends of the world. However, she has failed to learn any great deal about much else. She is sensible and strong, and not squeamish (excluding spiders and caterpillars), but she doesn't hold much practicable knowledge about what lies beyond the walls of a city.
Character History
Aidemma was born to Lenric and Cahana, a young couple living in Syliras. The family owned a small book shop and when her mother would bring Aidemma in from playing the young girl would hurry off to a warm corner and read. She spent most of her childhood in this manner, days outdoors, evenings reading and dreaming to herself. She began to find herself drawn to old histories and legends about the peoples of Mizarah. As she read Aidemma realized that she wanted to know more, to follow these stories to their birthplaces, to breathe and see and feel all that there was to them. Eventually plans were made for her to travel to Zeltiva, and attend the University. In her final years at home Aidemma's father grew ill. His mind began to slip, and his manner to change. Steadily his insanity grew, but Cahana told her daughter to continue with her plan to travel, hoping Aidemma might learn something helpful before she returned. Before Aidemma's old life could slip away entirely, she left.
