Solo [Cou's Apartment]The body of dolls

Coud Van Voltaire 1st of Summer, 513AV The sound of wood being carved away could only be heard in Cou’s apartment. With various tool kits open, Cou worked hard to create more bodies that he’ll turn into more assistance. Cou’s hair was tied back and he had glasses resting on the tip of his nose. He held a block of wood that he had been working on for about a half a chime; it vaguely resembled a female’s torso. Cou adjusted his glasses to inspect the torso he’s working on, trying to figure out where his carving tool is needed. After a moment of inspection, Cou placed a curved chisel against the body of the doll and began stripping the wood away slowly. The tip of the chisel moved along the surface of the doll’s body, each stoke refined the body’s detail. Cou continued carving the doll’s torso until he was satisfied with his work. Soon after Cou began working on one more doll torso, Cou planned to make two doll bodies. After carving the second torso that took about another half a chime, Cou began working on the doll’s head. The heads Cou made were a tad bit complex and took a bit of time to make. This is because the head of Cou’s dolls emulated a real person’s head. They had moveable eyes to look around, a moveable mouth to speak, and had a bit of leather stretched inside their ears so they can hear. Despite taking along of time, Cou didn’t mind at all because a well-made doll is better that a clunky one. Cou grabbed a fresh bit of wood that sat on his table. He stared at one of the flat surfaces on the bit of wood and lightly marked out the head of the doll with a bit of chalk. Cou tilted his left and right, trying to determine if the head is correctly drawn. After many corrections here and there, a rough outline was made. Cou sifted through his one of his tool kits and got hold of a small hand saw. Cou pushed back his glasses a little and inspected the saw, tapping the blade to check if it was still sharp. The thin edge of the blade nipped at Cou’s fingertips, letting him know that it was sharp and ready to use. Cou placed the block of wood on the table and rose from his chair. He rested the edge of the blade of the saw and began moving it, cutting into the wood. Cou made the saw follow the rough outline he made, slowly creating the basic shape of his doll’s head.
