Interesting. She was just warming up ? He'd managed to land a few strikes but at low power and low speed. Before he could move on to his second phase she was already on top of it. Trying to rearrange how the standing of power was, bringing her left arm to bare on his forearm. Her hand popped from his grip and she'd completed her escape however...She wasn't done there. He was in an unfavourable position but at least from her he could rearrange things one he'd seen what she was planning to do. She grabbed hold of his wrist and at that moment Xi stepped it up a gear. Suppose i should treat her like she knows what she's doing then. She was using her left arm to press on his right one. Xi from there simply changed his footing sliding his right foot back a little further and dropping his centre of mass, suer it would look like he was following with what she was trying to to but no. As her body weight pressed into his elbow he acted. Spinning his hand in her grip and narrowing his closed fist to have it slide from her arms. Lifting his grip he pulled himself up grabbing a hold of both sides of her top he brought his weight back across himself using his hips as a fulcrum He used his arm as a boom and hoisted her off of the ground via her vest then pulling on his chest, back and shoulder muscles pulled her up and over in the air acting like the tossing arm of a trebuche. At maximum height he'd release his grip from her shirt and let her go flying.
"Funny, so am I." If that entire pa-lava worked success he'd reopened a gap between them and her impact with the ground would leave considerable impact damage and wind her. If not then he had a secondary plan. He would bring his right arm into play using his still stable footing. Having removed his arm from her grip, he'd bring this entire body weight around and aim a hard punch at her stomach, rotating his abs, his shoulders even his arm and wrist to deliver enough impact to send her flying in the opposite direction with a blinding speed. He spoke through his head in his usual manner the name of this attack. The daggers of an angry rain...Arrow black The attack was not fluxed but he'd developed it from flux use to amplify power without sacrificing speed. |

Just when she thought she had a superior position, the tables rotated again. This time, more violently. Her move had been countered brutally, and the barbarian had slipped from her hands as she had slipped from his earlier. His footing had changed the game and now she had to adjust or face dire consequences. As Ximal turned an gripped the sides of her vest, she used the opening he offered as an invitation. His hands occupied, Kaie's handed switched gears, clenching into fists and driving forward toward his face. Her left came in with a straight. Following the lead, her right came in with a stronger jab as the left came back to her guard. The left returned again in a hook to his cheek, right continuing with an upper cut. Her rhythm began within those two lightning quick strikes. She took his advice too, blessing each hit with more power than she allowed earlier.
If he had managed to hold on and continue to hurl her like a rag doll, she had a back up plan. As he would turn, her foot would slip between his legs while he yanked her up and over himself with that much force. A dirty move, but she was taught to exploit weakness when it benefited her. Considering she was about to smash into the ground had the foot failed to slow him, at least she would slow him as he slowed her. Had she hit the ground, she drew her head up and smacked the ground with her hands to even out the blow. Lessen the damage to her body as a whole. Still hurt of course, but she wasn't left totally incapacitated. Kaie took two deep breaths before getting quickly back to her feet. Guard back up. It would be his turn.
"Funny, so am I," She heard him say across from her with distance between them now. Kaie had to admit, she liked the barbarian's style. Maybe he was easing up for her, much to her disdain, but she was still being kept more than on her toes. In fact, she was teetering over a cliff. At least if she managed to keep from falling, she'd get something out of it.

Her most crucial strike was deemed successful, and watching him fall to a knee she couldn't help but feel satisfaction. Unfortunately, that feeling didn't last long. He came at her faster than she expected from such a hit. Closing the gap, he came in with a nasty kick toward her abdomen. If she allowed it, she'd basically be screwed for his next attack. Kaie wasn't about to go down already, not just yet. As the kick came in, her right hand came across her body. The fleshier side of her forearm gliding down the leg as it came in, slowing the momentum some naturally. That finished, her left wrapped it up at the ankle, capturing the man with one foot to balance. Another kick would land him straight on his ass more than likely. Or holding onto her. Thinking about the latter option, she decided to destroy that possibility before he could consider it. Yanking him toward her by the leg, she would upset his balance, letting him straight up naturally to compensate. As he did so, she would shove toward him viciously, destroying his balance as she simultaneously sent a low kick to the sweet spot above his knee. If she succeeded, she'd grant him a nasty charlie horse and probably drop him onto his back. Though, she would back up again to keep from earning herself a swift kick to the face.

She'd caught his kick ? Impressive to say the least. Still she followed up by trying to pull him off balance. But his command of his centre of gravity saw good enough that he simply sprang off of his leg in it's current positioning. But instead of aiming for her side with a twisting kick he instead shot it at her chest like a spear. Xi from there would pull his leg back if she wanted to dodge that kick he'd have a free leg, if she took the kick he'd have loosened her grip enough to twist his leg point his foot and slide it free. Xi placed his hands on the ground before rolling through to stand up, dropping his shoulder to shift the roll and face her again. Xi then rose himself back up to his full standing. Now he was getting serious. Xi dropped back into his first stance. Bending his legs and lowering his centre of mass he brought up one arm straight in front of him like a shield his right arm down by his right hip. Xi then closed the gab by stepping in with his left foot and them Xi shot out from his hip a series of strikes. Seven lighting fast punches from his right hand. aiming at her shoulders and her hips, then the lest three along her central line, sternum, diaphragm, and stomach. |

Though she had used her advantage to yank him off balance, his center was superb. He didn't go down. Did he even waver? She hadn't much time to consider the fact because he wasn't going to slow down for even a second. Vulnerable with virtually only one hand for defense, the straight kick to her chest. She hadn't the time to drop the leg and avoid it, nor could she lift a lift to deflect such a blow. She had no choice but to take it. It came like a speeding cart, smashing into her chest with practiced prowess. All she could do was give with it and worry about her fall. Upon extension, she was forced to release his leg as she dropped down. Kaie did cheat a bit. Knowing she was going down, she didn't really fight gravity. No, instead she allowed it to take her willingly. Sent back a ways, she bent her knees and let the hit carry her in a rolling motion onto her back. Head up again, her hands came down on either side of her body to smack the floor and absorb the shock.
"Damn good kick, Xi," She growled between breaths, regathering herself. Had it been any lower and struck her solar plexus, she'd surely be in a world of hurt. Nonetheless, it did receive a gagging sort of cough from her once before she returned to her feet. From there, she saw nothing but fists... His strikes were like lightning, quicker than she had a chance at reacting to. That was for sure. As soon as she moved down a hand to block one punch, another followed and struck somewhere else. Her body was being pummeled by a force she could hardly keep track of. She might've gotten one or two punches blocked or deflected, but even as she tried to step off center line, he was on her like a tiger. Once or twice she had made a move, to swing a punch in return or a kick where she saw opportunity. Each time, his carefully timed punches struck her down in the areas her hits were originating from. Kaie stumbled, falling back some with the force. He had her. Gagging and coughing. Winded. She had half a mind to drop to a knee, to hope she could get herself back together...Kaie couldn't allow herself to fall to her knees before a barbarian. No, no. She'd die standing up before she allowed that. Gritting her teeth with a last breath of ambition, she lifted a hand to halt a strike to her middle, and threw a turned head toward his jugular. The Myrian teenager was fatigued and her body didn't hold the capabilities to keep up her speed and strength. Not with the attacks he just doled out.

She hit the ground with a dull thud of body upon dirt. She didn't the wits about her to break her fall this time, and air rushed out her lungs like wind. Kaie was in no physical condition to keep a fight going as she lay there, gasping once and focusing on breathing right again. He was damn good. For a barbarian. She'd give him that much at least. As much as her fighting spirit willed her to continue, she knew she had been beaten. Had she gone against rational judgement, she'd only have the shyke kicked out of her again with less effort than before on his part. "You fight well. I'd enjoy having a fighter of your caliber at my school."
She stared up at him, drawing her brow together in thought while he smirked down at her. So Ximal had a school? The Myrian woman decided after his display of tricks, he was definitely a capable fighter. His observations also hinted he was probably a decent teacher as well. Just then he had done the strangest thing, offering his hand down to her. Not smug about it at all as much barbarians here were. Out of respect for the guy, she reached a bronzed hand up and took it. Letting him help her to her feet as easily as he had knocked her down.
"Well, it looks like you now owe me a favor...And for it all i want you to do is spread word of my school amongst all the fighters you know of. Tell those who defeat you of a school in Nyka, where the man who beat you trains. I say this because I doubt with that level of skill you've lost before."
Oh, right. She had agreed to his terms upon throwing her first punch hadn't she? While she listened, she became interested in his demand. No foreign death mission. No aiding him in illicit activities. Just become a verbal advertisement for his budding business. In fact, it was so simple she almost began to second guess his seriousness. Honestly, Kaie had expected more. Nonetheless, she was a woman of her word and paid her debts appropriately. Reaching out her hand out for what the barbarians called "a shake" to confirm her promise, she spoke.
"Thank you. You strike me as a promising teacher. I will honor our agreement and spread word of your school, Ximal." She said nodding her head in a bit of awe for the skilled man. He had proven to be a diamond in the rough in this shoddy commoners' arena. Kaie was grateful she had struck her pick in the correct spot. No doubt it seemed to be paying off.

Xi smirked and took her hand in the shake, rocking it up and down lightly. Listening to her replying to his request and she would honour the agreement and now he though he'd best add a show of good faith for her as well. Letting her hand go he stepped back from her and spoke slowly. "I thank you for that, and if there is anything you'd like to learn from what i used against you you need only ask. After all, it's not everyday i get someone able to give me as good a challenge as you have. At least in my own preferred form of fighting." Xi cracked his hands snapping the knuckles of his fingers firmly before offering her a chance to recuperate. "Take as loong as you need to regain the full standing of your body. As soon as you feel your ready i'll commence the lesson." Xi smiled as large person easily the saem size musculature wise as Xi was stumbled over to the pair of them.
"You say you fought well against this woman ? PAH! I reckon if that's the case i could beat you myself !" Xi flicked his eye's across at the man before smirking and humouring him. Xi let the man have the first strike, it'd only take one for Xi to put him down. As the man wound back for his initial punch xi could see it was wide slow and in poor footing. Xi simply sihed and shifted his own feet slightly. The common burtes that thought themselves the "kings" of this hill would have to face someone who stood at a similar stature but greater skill than them. As soon as the man took his swing Xi didn't move a muscle until it was almost about to hit him and within a split second Xi weaved his head out of the way and brought his right arm up and over into the man's face as a cross counter. Slamming his fist into the man's face and sending the large man powering to the floor head first his feet flying up off of the ground to accentuate the force of the impact. The man's own momentum had been turned into Xi's counter striking momentum tripling the power of the punch and quadrupling the damage. Xi then looked up from the splayed out unconscious man to the rest of the crowed eyeing him up to see if they could beat him. And said plainly. "C'mon then, what're ya waiting for ?" Xi was only now doing this to pass time as she took her chance to recover, he'd barely employed even low competency level skill with that returning punch and still managed to do the maximum amount of damage possible. Xi smirked and then turned back to kaie.
"And this is why I'm glad I fought you, much more fun, than just dealing with jumped up novices. " |

"You fight well. Better than any barbarian I've seen before." She began simply, watching the man sit back and crack his knuckles, not winded at all. Surely a refined fighter with enough experience and fitness to brush off any bruise she granted him with ease. In fact she couldn't really recall getting a great hit on him at all. "Even any Myrian for that matter," She allowed reluctantly, remembering even the skilled Myrian fighters back home. They did not fight with the same kind of style, and she wondered if his confusingly advanced one would catch her own kin off guard. She chose not to ponder upon the thought too hard. Luckily she didn't have to when the commoner strolled up like he was hot shit. If Ximal didn't beat his ass, Kaie'd be sure to do it later.
When he turned back and offered her a hint of a compliment, she couldn't help but grin. Backing away toward the benches where there was water, she offered a bit of encouragement to him. She liked this guy already. "Give him hell, Ximal."
Keeping her eyes on the pair at all times, she found her way to the bench. Noticing the trough of water that laid beside. It was a crude bath really. Embarrassing for Syliras. Yet she was thirsty and the water looked so cold and comforting to her aching muscles. Given a few minutes to breathe normally again, she'd be back to brawling in no time. Cupping her hands and splashing some of the water onto her face, she could think only of the show that was about to begin. More importantly though, she thought of the new knowledge this foreigner could offer her. Maybe staying a bit longer outside Falyndar wouldn't be such a bad idea....
