Known as the Celestial Seat, Nyka is a religious city in Northern Sylira. Ruled by four demigods and traversed by a large crevice, the monk-city is both mystical and dangerous. [Lore]

50th day of Summer, 513 AV
Savio sighed as he carefully walked through the streets of Nyka, the heat mixed with the crowded spaces made things quite uncomfortable for the young man. Forty days he had spent in the damnable city without so much as a whisper of the alleged Master of Unarmed Combat, Ximal. Savio was starting to give up hope on finding the man, assume it was just a rumor and finally leave the city for greener pastors.
He would too, if the nagging voice in the back of his mind would just shut up. A part of him believed that Ximal did exist, and that Savio just wasn’t looking hard enough. Perhaps Ximal was in Nyka, but who said the man was accepting students at the moment? Even if he DID find the Master, there was always a chance that it was for nothing.
Savio sighed again as he looked over the market stalls without really seeing. At least he did learn a few things while he was here. He had to or he would have been killed on many an occasion! The monks here were not too friendly, if you didn’t join them… Well… They don’t take rejection well. Savio took pride on how well he had learned to escape the angry monks. His free running skills had greatly improved since coming to Nyka, but it wasn’t the same as learning a skill from a Master.
Savio finally made up his mind, if he didn’t find Ximal within the next two days, then he was leaving Nyka for good.

Savio was knocked from his musings literally when a massive, bear-like man walked right into him! The smaller man would have fallen and gotten trampled had he not managed to quickly correct his footing to somewhat gracefully avoid disaster. Savio was not the one to allow himself to get riled up, but in this heat, anyone could become temperamental. Savio cursed colorfully under his breath as he dusted off his loose green tunic.
"Perhaps you should watch where you are going there, mate. Someone could bloody well get hurt!" Savio snarled as he started to turn back around to walk back to his lodgings at the local inn.

Savio didn’t expect the man to turn around; actually, he had hoped the man wouldn’t turn around. But he did, and when he did he seemed to grow even bigger as he fixed his posture. By the Gods! The man was a beast! The younger man gulped and was mentally kicking himself in the arse for not keeping his temper in check as he had to slightly strain his neck to look up to meet the man’s eyes. The man’s tone though, was a bit too calm. To be fully honest, Savio half expected the man-beast to just roar and snarl like a bear.
Of course he didn’t see me through the clouds at that height. Savio thought to himself as he listened to the man’s apology. Once Savio nodded in silent acceptance, the man turned and began to walk away once more. Savio let loose a breath that he hadn’t been aware that he had been holding. That was too close.
Savio was about to return to his own business when the man’s deep voice called out to him once more, making the young man jump in surprise. A fighting school? Could he mean…?
“Yes, actually I am. Why do you ask?” Perhaps to allow his hopes to rise was unwise, a similar scenario happened several days ago and he had almost gotten robbed.

Savio shifted his weight from one foot to another nervously as he looked up at the tall man. He seemed rather convincing, and if he posed a threat then Savio would just run away as fast as he could. “Alright, but first things first; I won’t follow a nameless man. What is your name, sir? My name is Savio Cazzola.” He then offered his hand as a token of amity.

Savio walked alongside the giant of a man; listening closely to his words to glean any warning that this man could mean him harm. But so far, he seemed alright. “I have been looking for the school since the 10th day of summer. The people here are rather closed mouthed to outsiders, so it’s been difficult to gain information. It’s even more difficult to explore when the monks trail you like blood hounds.”
The man seemed to know his way around this dangerous city. Then again, when you were the size of him, once can imagine that most danger avoids you. Savio really had been a long distance away from the school. It took the rest of the morning and a good portion of the day just to walk to what seemed to be a large forest. Savio couldn’t hide his wonder as he looked around, but he kept his hand by his dagger, just in case the man made a sudden movement.
When they finally walked inside the gateway and onto the school’s property the big man named Vilni described just how big the school was. The touch of pride in the man’s voice caused Savio to raise an eyebrow, but he kept his options to himself. Then Vilni asked why Savio wanted to learn from the school, and the young man answered calmly, “I want to better myself. I know what I can do and I want to surpass that. I want to find my place in this world, and the only way I can do that is if I am stronger than I am now.”
