Argis Valkyn Terras Physical Information Race: Isur Birthday & Age : 41 (468 AV) Gender: Male Physical Description Argis stands at 5’4” and weighs 195 lbs. He would have a deep black hair color except that Argis loves to shave his head bald and wears no facial hair. Argis has the typical ligh bluish skin tone with the silver veins common in Isur. Argis was originally from the Coglias clan and thus has a green metallic arm to match his emerald green eyes. Character Concept Simple – Smithy and Magecrafter. Character History Argis was born Argis Valkyin Coglias and was the first born son of Cadryn. He was a expected to follow his father’s footsteps in the isur military and was pushed into training as such from a young age. It did not sit well with Argis who found a fondness for smithing after watching some of the women of the Terras clan working. He was awe struck by their beauty and skill; especially a woman names Adalia. Whenever he had a spare moment, Argis was learning how to craft under Adalia’s teachings and loved throwing around the anvil hammer. The thought of this angered his father and did everything he could to rob Argis of his time. Soon Argis began skipping training sessions to run off with Adalia. The two began to share a lot more than the hammer and anvil. When Argis came of age, he asked Adalia to marry him. Cadryn was so angered he swore off Argis and told him he was no longer his son. This hurt Argis but did not let it affect his love for Adalia. Anyone that married a female of clan Terras took her clan name and left their old one. Argis had been expecting to join the new clan; he just had not expected his father to disown him. Even though Argis’ father had disowned him, everyone else was happy for him and all enjoyed the wedding. The two opened their own smithy shop within the coglias clan district selling weapons to the isur soldiers. After a few years, Adalia was pregnant; but at birth, both she and the baby died. Argis was devastated and lost. He did not feel close to the terras clan, and his father could not release his anger to allow him back into the family. Thinking he had no other choice, Argis gathered up what remaining items and money he had, closed down his shop, and travelled to Syliras to be far away from the Isur clans. It was during his wandering of the streets of the city, that he ran into Mitykis. He was a well respected mage who practiced in a few djed. He had never spent much time with an isur was was amazed at the metallic arm and skill of the race. He had an instant idea. Mitykis wanted Argis to forge items for him that he would then use for magecraft. Argis was no fool and felt that the payment should be in training of this magecraft skill for his own benefit. Mitykis agreed and the two partnered up. Another two years rolled by and the pair was doing well for themselves. Argis had a place of his own and some jingle in the bank. He was beginning to find a new life that was worth living though he lapsed from time to time when he saw new lovers pass by and then tried to drink the image of Adalia away. One early morning after being removed from the bar because he was passed out in a back corner, Argis stumbled his way to his home only to find an eviction notice on the door. His key would not work and decided to pass out on the doorstep. Hung over and confused when he awoke, he wandered to the bank to find out what was going on. Argis did not know the customs of this city and had trusted everything to Mitykis. The elder mage had decided upon other plans, closed every account out, sold every piece of property, and left town. Argis had his supplies and training, some coins in his pocket, and nothing else. He’d have to start over again.
