Fubuki Kouri

"...." Kouri held her hold on the older ghost's collar, she felt no restrain holding a fellow ghost because well... they didn't have any body weight. Yuri seemed to be out of it, his expression was blank and his eyes unfocused. Kouri was about to let him go and walked away in disgust when he began chuckling.

Oh... he reacted, he had this eerie grin that projected sadness and rage at the same time. Unlike Kouri's psychotic grin which was a combination of delight and anger, His grin's nature seemed to be sadness. He was still able to call her name, complete with the title though, that meant Yuri had snapped out of his insane state earlier.

His answers satisfied her, Yuri was willing to kill after all; he realized that this Spiritist had done nothing wrong to him, but he would gladly kill for revenge and anyone that got in his way. Wonderful. Kouri put him down gently and smiled at him. "Ehehehe~ That's what I'd like to hear and uuh... It's not me who should be thankful though... if you kill that man here, knights will come and eeeh... it will not bode well for you..." She elegantly flicked her hair, billowing it to the side "You should be thankful to me instead, who knows what will happen if someone saw you assaulting him?"

Kouri nodded at Yuri, his goals were similar to her; revenge, plain cold revenge. The difference was he was still looking for his loved one, Kouri had accepted that her parents had died and perhaps the only way to meet them again is to... move on. But she didn't want that, not when Rena's with her and that tiger was still alive.

"So!" Kouri's expression went bright and cheerful, she moved her body to the side so she was now facing both the Ethaefal and Yuri "I'm glad this matter's solved! Now then... I suppose we must introduce ourselves like civilized people, yes? Ehehe~"

Kouri faced the Spiritist and slowly lifted the hem of her dress, curtsying to him "My name is Fubuki Kouri, Sir. But you can call me Kouri, ehehe~ This is Sir Yuri and... may we ask for your name?"

OOCMaybe Anders could suspect Kouri is the little ghost girl Isolde was talking about in your other thread, Anders. :D

Anders watched the interaction between the two ghosts. The little snippets of conversation made him incredibly curious as to what their references meant. Clearly, the two knew each other before the events of tonight. Anders was the odd man out and as the only living creature in the room...that was slightly unsettling.

He wasn't daydreaming when Fubuki turned to address him but he shuddered in surprise and quickly flinched toward her. He was so interested in their conversation that he hadn't expected to be addressed by either of them.

"My name is Anders," he attempted to smile through the high-intensity alarm which he was feeling. Through this foggy mix of scholarly and terrified feelings, a very specific memory came to Anders.

Isolde. She had been talking about a pair of sisters. He tried to recall of the name Fubuki was familiar to him. He thought that Rena may have been. Were these the two that he was talking about? He hoped not, because from Isolde's description, he was in the presence of a very unstable ghost if this was indeed that sister.

Of course, Anders set out to be very cautious with his words, but still, he was a researcher. He wanted to poke and to prod and to learn as much as he could. He would do his best not to evoke any kind of reaction from either of them. After all, if the two broke into instability at the same time, he didn't stand a chance at seeing the sky of Syliras ever again.

"If I may," Anders timidly rose a hand upward. "Can I pose the question of just how long you have been in Syliras? Perhaps how long you've been in this state?"

OOCYa know, I was thinking the same thing, Fubuki :P

Yuri nodded slightly to Kouri after she had released her hold on his collar. She seemed pleased by the musician ghost's answer to her, and it was true. Yuri might cling to his humanity more than Kouri currently did, but he still had within the flame of revenge, a desire that grew daily. This ghost walked a thin line between these two objectives.

Kouri may have switched back to her polite and cheery voice as she introduced herself to Anders, but Yuri wore an icy expression as he gazed coldly at the Ethaefal. He floated back up, arms crossed, and hardly batted an eye at the Spiritist. "The name's Yuri Forsin... I apologize for the previous outburst." The introduction was accompanied by a rather forced and curt bow from the ghost. Yuri's voice was uncharacteristically flat and uncaring; he still did not bear well to this man.

True, this Anders may not be of the dangerous type, but there was that one single grudge that Yuri held against all practitioners of Spiritism. From an outside view it may appear to be completely illogical, but to Yuri he could not get over this dislike easily. The memories of his death still rang clearly in his mind even today.

"So... you really just came here to observe us? Ha! You sound more like a seedy scholar than a bloody Spiritist..." Yuri coldly directed at Anders, "But I suppose there are those types too..." The male ghost continued his chilly stance against Anders as he didn't even look at the Ethaefal as he spoke, staring into the apartment wall in front of him. A Spiritist is still a Spiritist after all, even if its a weak and harmless one.

Yuri had little desire to converse with this man, so when the Spiritist directed at Kouri and himself, the words swept past his ears as he ignored the question. He only started nonchalantly whistling a eerie sounding tune as Yuri waited for Kouri to answer first, which he knew that the young girl would do.

The situation was progressing well, the Spiritist introduced himself as Anders and Sir Yuri was also willing to be civilized. Kouri felt proud at that, who knows what could happen if she hadn't been there? She put both of her hands to each side of her waist and puffed out her chest in pride mixed with arrogance "Pleased to meet you, Sir Anders~"

Yuri was still acting cold and cautious towards Anders though, Kouri could understand that; Spiritists were one of the few people who could actually harm ghosts no matter whether they were materialized or not. Kouri saw that Anders acted with politeness and a calm state of mind so she was not disturbed by his presence, perhaps she could even ask for some soulmist like back in the Svefra Deathspeaker's camp.

Ander's questions would be answered by bouts of depression that would lead to insanity... if this was at the early to middle Spring 513 A.V, the Kouri now had accepted fully about her ghostly state and didn't mind people asking questions about it. "Hmmm~ I've been in Syliras, eh... uhm... since the beginning of this year's Spring, Sir Anders~ and uhm... sorry, I don't remember how long I've been like this, didn't count em~"

"So~ everything is going to be alright then? If so, I want to take my leave, Rena is waiting for me after all." Kouri elegantly bowed and waited for a few more chimes should either Sir Yuri or Sir Anders wised to converse with her further, if not; she would go home to the Traveler's Row. Her adoptive little sister might be worried sick.

"You are correct, Yuri, Anders replied. "I am far more accurately described as a slow, purposeful research then a mad, emboldened wizard. I am curious, not ambitious," he told him.

He knew better then to make any mention of Yuri's previous life and especially his death."Do you live in this space?" he asked the male ghost. "Is that the tune that your neighbors occasionally hear on the quiet nights?" he asked him.

There had been another matter worth tending. One that Anders had not expected. The older sister. There was no way that Anders would ever be able to appease this ghost, emotionally, psychologically, through exorcism or otherwise, not yet anyway; he just wasn't powerful enough. Fubuki's power was immense and Anders simply couldn't compete. He would have to get to know her, gain her trust and then maybe he could help her to resolve her anchor.

Anchor. It was the term that Anders had used to describe the conflict which typically kept a spirit in the world of the living. The anchor was the only way to keep Fubuki from hurting anyone else. Defeating her, in the present time, didn't exist even as fantasy.

"Your sister's name is Rena?" Anders asked. "Its a lovely name." His voice was completely void of any pretense or suspiciousness. He was being honest and at least attempting sweetness. "I have not been spying on you and I possess no dangerous, or even interesting, secrets about either of you. I know this because someone in Syliras seems to care about you. She wants to make sure that you are alright; and she too seems to be concerned for Rena's well being.

Yuri didn't even nod to Anders to show that he had hear; he remained ostensibly cold and distant. The ghost still did not feel like answering the Spiritist's question even while Kouri answered, and there seemed to be little chance for him to lighten up to Anders at the moment being. Which would be regretful for the Ethaefal if his purpose was really just to ask questions and observe, but as if Yuri cared.

In spite of his coldness, Yuri could only chuckle gently as he watched Kouri hold herself as a prideful manner as she introduced herself to Anders. Her answer too, it somehow made the musician ghost smirk lightly for some reason. Perhaps Kouri was a bit of fresh air in this not-enjoyable situation? Indeed, it was thanks to her that things didn't go bad...

"Hmm? Me... living here?" Yuri shot Anders a questioning glance. "No... I do not if you want to know... I only come by here some nights when I want to be alone..." When the Spiritist continued on about Yuri's tune, the ghost's expression softened a degree. "That... I can answer yes to. This is a little tune I've been working on for a while. I have the melody all set up, but I have a desire to add lyrics to it, hence the singing that was reported to you. But, I'm no singer really, so it just doesn't sound right. And, I just can't find the right words to match up with it, something always seems off" The ghost's voice had seemingly gotten brighter as he talked about music, even if it was a Spiritist that asked. Perhaps this was the right way for Anders to go?

"Ah! Maybe you could help me out with the song a little Miss Kouri? Seeing you were a singer and all..." Yuri cautioned a nervous request to the ghost girl, maybe she could help... no wait, the Spiritist was still here. Yuri looked cautiously at the Ethaefal; maybe another time was better, but what if Kouri wanted to help now?

With Anders's mentioning about a certain someone who was worried for the sisters, Yuri was a little interested in this, as it appeared he was not the only person concerned about the girls. Was the Spiritist being honest? If he was, Yuri felt relieved; there was someone who might actually be able to help the girls, as Yuri knew he couldn't do that. The soon-to-be-insane cannot help other's in the same boat.

Fubuki Kouri

"Ehehe~" Yuri's story about using this dark, damp apartment as his practice hall intrigued her. Kouri herself preferred the outdoors, gazing at the beautiful aurora of Avanthal to immerse herself with inspiration. Yuri seemed to be the 'shut-in' type of artist, Kouri had heard of them before. A composer locking himself in his room for days, refusing any contact to finish his symphony. Would Sir Yuri go to that extreme? Given his condition of not needing any physical sustenance, he probably would.

"Hm? Of course!" Kouri's eyes immediately perked up when Yuri mentioned about assisting him with her singing talent. The previously tense situation eased and eased further until it was now safe to say no violence would occur in this particular abandoned apartment. "Ehehe~ just teach me the notes and I'll help you compose and sing the lyrics~" Kouri would gladly help another artist and indulging herself in it at the same time.

Kouri brought her attention back to the Spiritist when he mentioned about her sister "Oh yeah~ She's also very cute! Ehehe~" Rena looked like a cute little doll, little did Kouri realized she looked even more like a porcelain doll due to her clothes and powder white skin complexion.

His next words brought a frown to Kouri's face, someone was talking about her to him? To a Spiritist? She must know who was this person and it's a she... Don't tell me... Madame Isolde? The Nuit had visited her three days ago to warn her about some... men looking after her and about a bounty on her head, if anyone was concerned about her 'safety'; it would most likely be her.

"Uhm..." Kouri cheerfully smiled at the Spiritist, she decided to put up an innocent facade "Who might this person be, Sir Anders?"

Sensing that the conversation was starting to splinter off, Anders attempted to consolidate the three of their thoughts into the same conversation. This, of course, was not Anders' true motivation. He wanted to evade the question of just who it was who was interested in protecting Fubuki.

"Fubuki, truly I apologize, this individual was very cautious not to reveal any sort of name, he lied. "So, how fascinating; you both seem to take an interest in music. Is this thing that has brought you two together? Is this how you met each other in such a thick, expansive city?" He was trying to find the 'anchor.' Maybe the music was the factor that had held the two of them to the physical world? If so, Anders didn't believe that it would be quite so difficult to help them resolve their final business in Syliras.

"Have you been working on the tune for long, now?" Anders asked. "Where did you get the inspiration?" Anders truly wanted to explore this venue. Even if this had nothing to do with any anchor to Mizahar, he could at least get to know these ghosts better; he could simultaneously learn more about them and work on building a trusting relationship. "I can't recall an entire song, specifically, Anders explained. "But every now and then I am blessed with the faint wisps of a memory of singing and dancing in Leth's court." Anders' facial expression melted into the softer, contemplative somberness which had become somewhat stereotypical of the wistful race. His posture and manner did a pitiful job at hiding the sorrow at his separation from the deity.

It took a few moments for Anders to gain the momentum but over the next 20 or so seconds, he recovered and was restored to a more conversational persona. "Ah, but yes. Never have I heard such sweet and wonderful music. His expression was still as sentimental and as longing as it had before, but now the presence of a smile caused him to appear less bitter and more sweet.

Follow the Sound (Yuri Forsin)

Postby Yuri Forsin on June 28th, 2013, 2:50 am

Yuri chuckled cheerfully and beamed a thankful smile at Kouri. "Why thank you Miss Kouri, thank you." The ghost's mood and the overall mood in the room had brightened up fairly. Now, he just had to give the music to Kouri, and they should be all set on finishing this song! The pianist ghost could clearly see the ghost girl was excited to help out. And Yuri was interested in hearing for himself how good of a singer Kouri was, knowing of her background from the Snowsong Hold, famous for its artists of both the visual and musical. "Now, I'll get the notes for you in just a bit, alright Miss Kouri?"

Another question from Anders brought Yuri's attention back to that of the Spiritist. The ghost smirked ever so slightly upon hearing it, but this quickly went away as he replied in a noticeably more polite voice, "Yes, we were both artists of music in our past lives, but it wasn't because of that we came together. In fact, we did not even meet inside of this city, right Miss Kouri?" With saying this, Yuri gave a quick nod to Kouri, as he remembered the day they first met. It was fun, then not so at the same time... but it was a cheerful meeting nonetheless.

With Anders' further inquiry into his song, Yuri's former coldness seemed to have melted away, making his expression more gentle and calm. "Well, I've been working on it for the past few days, since I started staying some nights in here. My inspiration? Do you want to know Mister Anders?" With a somewhat unsettling grin, Yuri spoke softly to Anders, "Death..." Indeed, the song's melody had an almost a cheerful feel to it, but the words that Yuri had thought up contrasted unusually with it: death, the final curtain-call of life, and what comes after, many of them inspired from Yuri's own musing on his current state. The two widely contrasting items of music came to together in a most interesting composition.

"Maybe that's why I chose this spot, I think the thick darkness of this place at night helped me get the words I seeked. Usually I would prefer to wander in nature under the night and Leth's glow, but nothing wrong with trying out new methods, right?" By now the ghost was at ease with the Spiritist; looking behind the glaring fact Anders was a Spiritist, the Ethaefal looked to be a polite and gentle man, with a great curiosity about ghosts.

While looking at Anders for some kind of reply, Yuri was a little surprised to see the Ethaefal's face in an expression of a thoughtful sadness after mentioning about being in Leth's court. Wait, that means Anders was once... in a place with the divine?! So that's what he meant by estranged...

Taking this moment, Yuri floated up to the ventilation shaft and focusing his soulmist in his right hand, delicately pulled out several sheets of paper. A few nights ago, feeling the necessity to bring his music to paper, the ghost had gone to the adjoining apartment during the night and possessed the sleeping young man. Thankfully the possessed possessed some parchment and ink, so Yuri had spent that night writing out his music, slipping the sheets under the door to the empty apartment which Yuri then hid in the shaft. As for the man, he woke up peacefully in the morning, with a weird dream of writing music.

Yuri passed the sheets to Kouri, "There you go Miss Kouri, one paper has the notes while the others contain my attempts at making lyrics. You can look over them and say what you think."

".............." Kouri's cheerful mood suddenly shifted to a cheerfully murderous one as Anders refused to answer her inquiry. Four thick black tendrils emerged from her back and she slowly floated to the Spiritist, inching closer and closer until they were separated by mere inches. She gave Yuri a polite look, gesturing him to wait just a moment. The lyric composition would have to do later, she had more pressing issues for now.

Kouri flicked her hair and unleashed a wave of chilling cold air again, she eyed the Ethaefal still with the ever cheerful girlish smile but one could see she was not pleased. "You seem to be forgetting that I hold your live in my hands here, Sir Anders..." She then flew up to his eye-level, materialized herself, and gently rubbed his left cheek with her right hand; chilling him with her frost touch. "Now, I will ask once more... who in the name of Queen Morwen talked to you about me? Hmmm?"

Her smile had grew into a grin now, showing off her white ethereal teeth "Is the person a human? No... that's unlikely... is the person a... female black-tongued undead?" She was really really expecting the answer to be no other than Madame Isolde. "Don't lie to me, I simply ask you a simple question..."

Kouri then narrowed her eyes to reptilian slits and spread out her hair, then her hair magically moved by itself to cover Anders like a white blanket "Tell me the truth or I'll send you back to Leth's court... in pieces..."
