Seyp gave a slow nod listening to Siiri’s new plan and formation. His hand slipped behind his back, reaching into a side pouch of his backpack before pulling out a pair of sandals, the bottom of them having no groves or marks of treads, but was course all the same. He bent over for a moment, strapping them firmly to his feet before once again straitening himself. His hands were run through his hair then, slicking it back as heavy amounts of collected rain water poured down along his back. A slow roll of his head and shoulders were then given before he nodded to Siiri, after making one last check to ensure that his equipment was secure. Seyp the crouched slightly and pushed off forward strongly with his legs, breaking into a full run. His speed was that of most Myrian’s. Fast, but not so fast that it set him apart with the exceptional among Myri’s warriors.
Seyp’s feet found decent traction along the water soaked grounds, his sandals designed just for the purpose as he slammed his feet along the ground, and uproots of large trees, taking running leaps along the forest ground as several feet was covered in one leap. A shallow ditch soon appeared during the run, as Seyp’s legs pushed off from the edge with all his might, soaring through the air as one hand stretched upward. His hand slapped along a low riding tree branch, grasping it firmly with his fingers as forward motion was continued. His feet kicked out, his arm pulling him forward more by the branch as the rest of the gap over the ditch was covered, and he landing along the other side with a subtle thud.
Seyp’s eyes closed for a moment, focusing magical energies to swirl within them, when he opened them, a quick gaze around the area was given, searching for signs of auras that predators on the prowl would often emit. All he saw in his slow glimpse were shades of blue, black and green as normal aura’s of the foliage lingered about, the most movement seen caused by the smallest insects that the jungle housed, mostly in sheltered areas of the foliage itself. The sight of his Auristics then faded from his eyes, giving way to the normal colors of the jungle, darken slightly by heavy rain clouds that dropped the Goddess’ might will along the whole of Falyndar.
“No predatory movement for the next two hundred yards,” Seyp then commented to Siiri, finding her ability to keep pace unsurprising at all.
Finally, after close to a ten chimes of heavy running, Seyp’s body stopped after a short swing along the hanging vine was had, his feet slamming into the ground.
“Hold a moment,” he called out to Siiri, crouching down to the ground.
Seyp then began lifting stalks of large, palm tree like leaves, examining the stalk of the plant below. There several broken pieces were found, indicating that leaves had been stripped from the underside of the plant, but only so much that the upper leaves would cover such from the untrained eyes.
“They’ve stripped some of the leaves for their bedding, to make their nests.” Seyp remarked, looking over the ground.
“The grove is not far off, and they don’t travel farther than a quarter of a mile for nesting material. Not only to scout the area, but to mark the territory of their troupe.” Seyp then slowly gazed up to Siiri, a couple strands of hair dangling loosely in front of his eyes as quick droplets of waters fell to the ground from their ends.
“We’re close.” Seyp finally said lifting some more of the foliage to reveal tracks beneath them, sheltered somewhat from the rain but still not likely older than a half bell. An increasingly quick breath being taken as the pace of the run was beginning to catch up to him.
