The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Lucy Snowsong on June 19th, 2013, 6:47 pm

Summer 18th, AV 513 [Windward Boardwalk]

Another usual day in Avanthal. Another usual day at the Windward Boardwalk. Perfect time and perfect place. Lucy was just standing there and checked the park. She will wait more. And a little more. Her eyes color changed to red as she was excited. The place was filled with people. Not so much not so less she was ready now. She closed her eyes. Took a deep breath then blow it out. She openned her eyes and raised her hands as she wanted a little attention. The act started. She had a big smile. Show time: " Everyone, Everyone! Happy people of Avanathal! Get around and let me tell you and show you a story about a vantha and kelvic's romance!" She shouted there. A romance story simply, but easy to play it. Not to mention she could show her skills now in this really well without a partner. A lot vantha noticed her. They turned there. Some of them only listenned and watched, some of them really went there and they made a circle around Lucy.

"Our story begins with that dancer vantha girl named Anne. She was pretty, her dance moves were beautiful. Even Morwen was suprised about her child. She was excatly in that place too when she met with that kelvic. She was dancing there and everyone was amazed by her." She stopped and started to do a little dancing. She was not the best she knew only a little. She had kind smile on her face and it could be seen she was enjoying it. She enjoyed her act and she acted she was enjoying the dance. Perfect. At a certain move she stopped like she frozed the scene. " And then there was him. A polar bear kelvic, his name was Gado. He was just passing by here but had to stop as she saw that beautiful girl with that beautiful dance. He tried to break through the crowd. For his luck he could do it succesfully. And there was her, Anne. Like a graceful bird. Her moves were so gentle. "

Time for the man. Lucy ran out from the circle. She picked another point where she will go back. She went there and touched the two viewer's shoulders. She pushed them kindly she didn't want to hurt them. Like the man who was breaking through. Her face was suprised and amazed. Like she saw it with the man's eyes that girl. Her eyes were even shining a bit. She was walking back to the middle of the circle slowly and like she was looking for someone or something. Her voice was deeper now representing the man's voice. "Who is that? Who is that beautiful bird who stole my heart? Her moves shows the life... Her beauty which was gifted by Morwen..." Lucy had to take a little look at the people's face. She had to be sure she won't make them bored or something. Her act depended on their reactions.

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Silarial on June 23rd, 2013, 6:02 am

It was a very cold morning for her. Ever since he left, she's only felt colder deep inside. It didn't even feel like she was marked with the blessing of Morwen. She was just plain cold. And lonely.

Her muse had escaped her ever since that day. Dancing had become mechanical, a tedious routine that she had to keep doing in order to earn a living. It didn't feel fun anymore. Ever since the day he left.

"Everyone, Everyone! Happy people of Avanthal!" Silarial raised her head up and stared at the flocking crowd of people. She saw the interest in their eyes, the smile on their faces. They sure looked happy.

"And I'm not." She muttered, chuckling bitterly at how miserable she felt. She only felt more and more horrible with each passing day, and even now she still could not understand why she felt that way. He was only a friend, right? Why was she so affected that he decided to disappear from her life like that? Without even a sliver of an explanation, not even a hurried goodbye?

Silarial joined the crowd, her demeanor that of a walking dead person. They were circled around a young woman who was probably not much older than her by the way she looked. She was performing, acting out a story to be more specific, all on her own. A monologue, perhaps?

"Heh, I heard this love story from my grandma before." A shrill female voice beside her broke her out of her reverie.

"L-love story...?" Silarial mirrored the Vantha girl. The stranger took it as a cue to keep talking.

"It feels more different when someone's performing it like this, yes? And that girl's not bad either. Ah, wait! We're getting to the good part."

And then she felt a hand on her shoulders, pushing her gently aside. It was the woman performing at the middle of the circle earlier. Silarial briefly wondered how the actress managed to appear in front of her without her notice. But whatever the woman had been doing, it seemed to be worth it. Most of the people around her were watching intently and waiting for her next lines.

For a moment, Silarial felt jealous of the performer. She looked like she was enjoying what she was doing very much. Silarial wanted to have fun performing in front of people again. But what if she can't do it anymore? What if she had already lost her spark? What if... what if she can't find the will to dance from the heart anymore?

Her brows creased as these thoughts ran through her mind, her face the exact opposite of the spectators all around her.

OOCGiven the Founder announcement last time, I found out some time ago that a half-Vantha really shouldn't have changeable eyes. So if you've read that her eyes changed colors in a previous thread, please ignore that haha. :p

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Niloc on June 25th, 2013, 2:26 am

Niloc was cold. He had been for a while now. Flakes of snow glistened on his now damp, messy hair. His weather-beaten, yet youthful face covered with droplets of melted snow. He wasn't sure where he was going, or why. His life had been like that for a while now. No real reason or need to talk with anyone...no one or nothing to really care about.

Avanthal was a strange place for Niloc to be. He would have much preferred to be in a warmer climate, hunting in the woods. But lately, not even that made him happy. Even shapeshifting into his fox form and darting through the woods after mice didn't hold the same joy as it once did in his life. So he had travelled, and ended up here. At least temporarily.

Niloc moved slowly through the people around the boardwalk. He tried his best not to bump into anyone, or draw any attention to himself. From what he had heard, Kelvics were not an uncommon sight here...but with his bow slung across the back of his old, ripped coat, he felt very out of place.
He kept walking, something about the rhythmic crunch of snow under his feet kept him moving, and relaxed. Still staying as far away from everyone as he could. The thought of food crossed his mind for the first time in a while...his hunting last night had proved unsuccessful, only sighting a small snow hare, which he was not at all fond of.

Passing far away from a fairly large gathering of people, a loud voice caught his sensitive ear. He thought of just walking past...but for some reason he decided to get a little closer. He crept closer to the crowd, not wanting to bother or disturb anything, and tried to get a better view of the source of the voice.
Peering through the bodies crowded toward the front, he saw a young woman who looked like she was preforming.
Niloc moved away from the crowd, uneasy about being around such a large group of people. Thinking for a while, he decided it wouldn't hurt to watch the young woman's performance. It's not like he had anything else to do.

Niloc let out a sigh as he leaned against a nearby wall. The way the woman seemed to thoroughly enjoy what she was doing seemed to make him more sad and lonely than he was before. Seeing someone so excited and enthusiastic around other people, sharing with them her talent and doing what she loved to do...it made him wish even more for happiness, or something in his life to give him purpose. He thought, at a younger age, that the forest would provide this kind of comfort...but lately everything was dull.
He switched his focus back to the young woman, trying to pay attention to her story. He reassured himself, it wouldn't hurt to stay and watch from a distance, especially with everyone's focus on the performance. And, she was, admittedly, very pretty.

She noticed mostly the peopel enjoyed it. Also she noticed a man who was only watching in distance and a woman who she touched her shoulders who wasn't amazed. She couldn't let that. She had an idea. "My name is Anne! And what's yours?" Then Lucy turned around toward Silarial. She ran there and pulled out to the circle. She hoped if she will involve her only a bit, she will enjoy it too like the others. She kneeled down before her and continue her show. "My name is Gado! A Polar bear kelvic! Come with me for a walk in the wilds!" And she stood up again grabbed her hands and went out from the circle with her. She then let her go and whispered to her. "Good job, you can go back now, thanks!" Lucy left her in the crow.

She went back to the middle and now she only continue the story by telling it a little. "These youngs fell in love. They wanted to stay together forever. But that kelvic was one of Morwen's kelvic. The Goddess Queen had plan with him, as she wanted more polar bear. Gado had to tell that to his lover. They met again at this place!" Lucy mimiced again. Her face was sad, but her eyes didn't change as she was still happy and excited. Even tried to make her voice sad but that was a little failure. "So... we can't be together because you have to do your duty, Gado...." She didn't want to continue this as her voice was terrible this time. Her eyes were pink as she scared of that failure but still green as she was still happy. She stopped for a little too as she checked everyone's face again. She saw they noticed that she had voice problem.

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Silarial on July 2nd, 2013, 2:55 am

And then the unthinkable happened.

"E-ehh??!" Silarial felt a pair of soft hands tug her own, pulling her to the middle of the circle to include her in the mini-play. She nervously cast her eyes on the people around her, face aflame with embarrassment. It wasn't because she was not used to having so many eyes focused on her, but right now she was unprepared. She felt vulnerable.

In a half-whisper, Silarial tried to voice her concerns to the young performer. "Miss, umm, I don't think this is a good... idea..."

Her protests faltered when the woman knelt before her without any warning. "Come with me for a walk in the wilds!" The actress exclaimed, still in character. At this, she forced her face into a smile, albeit a tense one. Even if she's not so happy with the idea of being whisked into the middle of a performance without warning, she couldn't bring herself to just walk away and ruin the woman's show. Silarial's a performer too, and she knew it would suck if a partner, impromptu or no, just left her like that.

At last, Silarial was able to let out a sigh of relief when the actress returned her to the crowd. She pushed herself deeper among the spectators, farther from the little clearing of a stage for fear that she'll be chosen again. This time however, she watched and listened more closely. Since she's watching the performance anyway, she might as well enjoy it and try to forget her troubles for a while.

She found it amusing that there'd be a story of forbidden love between a Vantha and one of the Queen's Polar Bear Kelvics. It's not uncommon for the Guards to marry their Kelvic mounts, nor to marry outside of Icewatch. The people seemed to like stories like these though, and she found it polite not to voice that thought out loud.

But there was something off with the woman's act. Silarial observed silently, trying to pinpoint what went wrong. It was a sad scene, a parting of sorts between the two lovers. The woman's voice though... it didn't sound sad, which was strange for a scene like this. And it didn't seem like she was the only one who noticed this. She can hear a couple somewhere behind her commenting about just that.

Silarial felt concern for the woman's performance. Despite herself, she prayed that the show might go well, and that the young actress might be able to pull through whatever difficulty she was facing. She didn't even know the woman personally, nor does she have any reason to be personally involved. However, she wanted the actress' show to go well. It was silly, but she felt that if the woman can get over this, she can get over her artistic slump as well. She just might be able to.

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Niloc on July 4th, 2013, 4:19 pm

It wasn't hard to tell the young woman's performance was depicting a love story. A love story involving a Kelvic. Niloc sighed and slumped against the wall. The thought of the performance lifting his spirits had quickly evaporated. He wasn't exactly sure what was wrong with him. Loneliness, he figured played a part in it...but how could it affect him this much? He was only young, but the majority of his young life had been spent in the woods. His only companion was the thoughts inside his head. Of course he wouldn't tell anyone that for fear of being judged insane...but it wasn't that abnormal was it?

He picked himself up and decided to go somewhere. Anywhere. But then he noticed that the girl seemed to have some trouble with her voice. Seeing the looks of people in front of him, Niloc figured that the last thing he should do is leave now...he didn't want the young woman to think he was leaving because she wasn't putting on a good performance. Was it one of the first times she was doing this? Who knows...but leaving now wouldn't be polite, especially since other people looked ready to do the same. Or maybe not, he wasn't all that good at judging people's emotions...he tended to avoid contact with anyone.

If that was true, then why was he so concerned about the young woman's performance? Surely it wouldn't matter if he just left on his own to be miserable in the woods...she wouldn't notice. Nobody would. Nobody ever did. Was that his own doing? Maybe. He considered leaving for that very reason...but couldn't bring himself to do it. Again doing something completely out-of-character for himself; Niloc, still nervous, began to walk forward into the mob of people up front, until he had a very clear view of the performance.

OOCSorry this is a little bit on th' short side...I probably put myself in a bad place with my first post by stayin' away from everything. So I'll try to write more next time. It's great to be working with you two...I'll say "professional" roleplay peoples...but it also kinda intimidates me when I can't think of much to write xD

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Lucy Snowsong on July 9th, 2013, 6:22 pm

Dang it Lucy! Dang it! She thought. She moved on, the shows must be done. But how to end it? She didn't really planned it. She wanted some impro. She looked at the man who came closer and she took a look at Silarial again. Perfect she got it! She had a little smile again. She started to tell the story with raised voice to get the attention back."... BUT OUR Queen-Goddess, Morwen wasn't blind. She was wise and she saw the sadness in the dance of this girl. She asked her why? The girl told the truth. Morwen smiled and told her this: This man meant to be with someone who had to true spirit of Avanthal! Who showed my people's beauty! Gado is your partner, your lover in my eyes, Anne!" She had a break for a moment.

Speaking loud wasn't an easy job, she took a deep breath again and pointed at Niloc. She was going after him. "So after that Gado, the kelvic..." She grabbed his wrist and gently pulled out from the crowd. She let him at the middle and went after Silarial. "...And Anne, the beautiful dancer..." She pulled her out too and took her hands to Niloc's hands to grab it. She was raising both of their hands together to the sky. " ... were together from that day till death and after it! Our Goddess always helps us and proud of us! Don't forget that, as the lovers never forgot it either!"

And she blow out all the remaining air from her lungs. The End! She grabbed with her right hand Silarial's , and with her left hand Niloc's hand, raised them up and bowed before the audience. Her eyes were changing between the green, red and a little dark blue. She was happy, she was excited but afterall she was curious about the opinions. She wanted to keep her two helper there, she waited while the audience tell their feelings and then walks away, so she can talk just a bit with two.

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Silarial on July 12th, 2013, 11:26 am

OOCDon't be intimidated Niloc! I'm sorry I have a tendency to write long rambly posts like these. It doesn't mean you have to be pressured to write equally long ones as well since you're still in the process of getting to know your PC after all. Just write the way you like it and have fun! :D

Silarial broke into a relieved smile when the actress pulled her act together. The sudden confidence in her voice immediately took its effect on the spectators. Their attention was once again back on the actress, whispers hushed as she continued the story of the dancer and the Kelvic mount.

The actress pulled another person from the other side of the crowd, a brown-haired non-Vantha man. The woman turned, probably searching the faces of her spectators for yet another volunteer. That must be her style of involving her audience in her shows.

Her probing eyes landed on Silarial. The dancer gulped. Oh please, don't pull me out again... I'm not prepared! She tried to sink herself further among the audience, but she felt someone push her towards the approaching performer.

"Go finish the show, Anne!" A bearded burly man chortled from behind her, and she had the urge to cry out in protest. But the actress' hands were already on hers and she was already being pulled to the center of the crowd once more. Silarial stole a peek at the other person's face, the one who was representing the character of Gado in the story. She wondered if he was feeling as flustered as she was at that moment.

When her hand was raised along with the young man's, she did not bother complaining anymore. The show was ending, and it at least was ending well. That is what's important, right? " ...were together from that day till death and after it! Our Goddess always helps us and proud of us! Don't forget that, as the lovers never forgot it either!"

The people that had gathered to watch broke out into cheers and clapping. Many of them had satisfied looks on their face, and there were even some who praised them.

"Not bad there, miss. Your acting a little bit rough at some parts, but you have the potential." A stout woman remarked on the performer's acting. The compliments warmed Silarial's heart very much, despite knowing that they weren't even directed at her in the first place.

She wanted to have this effect on people again. The desire to make people smile and forget their worries for a moment welled in her chest as she stared longingly at the ebbing crowd. Maybe, one day... just maybe.

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Niloc on July 13th, 2013, 8:35 pm

Niloc finally began to relax and enjoy the show. He could see the pretty young woman much better now, and she seemed to quickly recover from whatever slip-up had occurred before.

And then she pointed at him. Niloc stared back, confused for a second until he realized...she wouldn't really would she? Then she walked towards him, clearly intending to involve him in her performance. His sense of comfort was whisked away in a matter of seconds. His first thought was to run, acting wasn't his thing. It involved being the centre of attention. The exact opposite of how Niloc preferred to be. He could simply turn around and run,or turn into his fox form and run faster.

She grabbed his wrist with the soft touch of a cold hand, erasing all thoughts of fleeing from his mind. Partially because he couldn't physically run away now...and partially because there was a beautiful woman grabbing his hand. He quickly dismissed those thoughts as well...how could he be so stupid and easily distracted?

As she dragged him back along with another beautiful young woman, who he assumed was "Anne", Niloc felt another surge of anxiety as he looked back to see the prodding eyes of the crowd. Surely they didn't expect anything from him? He was no actor, he'd never performed or learned how to speak in front of people. The thought made him sick to his stomach.

At this point, Niloc was completely oblivious to anything being said by the actress. He felt her raising his hand, but was in such a state he had no idea what she was saying. He scanned the crowd continuously, his mind racing with every possible, terrible outcome from this.

And then it was over. The people clapped, and slowly dispersed off to go about their days. He noticed the happy faces of the two young ladies, and felt the need to say something, congratulate them on the successful performance. But, as usual, he couldn't think of anything, and was too shy to try. Letting out a sigh he readjusted his bow over his shoulder, and turned to head back out of town. Away from the eyes of everyone else.

The Dancer, The Fox and The Actress (Silarial, Niloc)

Postby Lucy Snowsong on July 18th, 2013, 5:05 pm

What a relief was that for her. Wasn't perfect but good enough to get the audiance's attention. And they even enjoyed it, that's called succes. She let her helpers hand. She was sweating a bit too. Even with Morwen's mark it wasn't hard to cool down at Avanthal just a bit. She was taking deep breaths and calmed down a bit. Did it, Lucy did it. she was keep thinking about it. While she was taking a break she took a look at the woman who gave a compliment to Silarial. She had a grin on her face. She was thinking about to make a request.

As soon as she finally cooled down and could breath calmly, her eyes's color changed to green. She stood before them and bowed before them. "Thank you very much, for helping me for this show. It wasn't the best but it doesn't mean to be one.Yet." She still had the grin on her face and was looking at both of them. "Oh... silly me! My name is Lucy what's yours ANNE." Looked at her and then quickly took a look at Niloc. "And yours Gado?"

She even hugged him suddenly. "I was LUCKY that you came. You aren't a Vantha. You look so different from us, your eyes are interesting. Tell me where did you from?" She didn't let him fully. She just holding his arms now. Lucy was curious how the man will react on her flirting. But she didn't forget about Silarial either. She gave her a thumbs up."I can't say more than that lady. Hey! Did you consider being a real storyteller, an actress? " She finally asked her.
