Character Concept
One of many sons of the Skycrown family, Daveth always had a talent for bringing a sense of lighthearted charisma to any given situation. When he was young he often pranked and joked with his brothers and sisters. A warrior when needed, and a practical joker he loved his family with every ounce of his being, and lived for them. He brought honor onto the Skycrown name, maybe not as much as his siblings, but most certainty in his own way. Daveth's heart was gold, always light and eager to share his happiness and general good mood with the rest of his family. That all changed when the Djed Storm hit. His entire outlook on life changed. Instead of the warm, loving person so many embraced as family, he was left alone and distraught over his loss. He searched for ways to deal with his grief, those most accessible were gambling, the drink and the ever present company of women. Daveth was not a bad looking man at all, and he decided to make full use of the attractive physical appearance.
History
Born to Kyron and Azielora Skycrown, Daveth's life on The Sea of Grass was pretty standard for a Drykas male. His father left when he was young, and his mother quickly fell into grief afterwards. Daveth spent a lot of his time with his grandmother who was an elder and flamboyant woman who loved the boy as her own.
He did most of the things the other Drykas children do, hunt, gather, and tended to herds. When hunting, he always preferred the company of dogs to aid him in his chores. Years passed by with out a Strider choosing Daveth. And when he was chosen, it was as simple as he and his friends returning from the days chores when a Strider nudged the boy with it's nose and continued to walk at his side for the rest of the trek home. When they returned, the elders of the clan recognized it as the horse choosing Daveth as it's rider. He was granted hid Windmarks, and in the fashion of his family, was donned around his right bicep. The fifteen year old boy could not have been happier.
From then on, Daveth continued to grow up a normal, average Drykas. His grandmother grew old, growing sickly as her age caught up with her. His siblings were getting married, starting their own families.. and yet he was still the same person. Nothing had changed in his life, nothing had happened to him that changed his view on the world or his outlook on humanity.
His entire world would then be torn upside down. The Djed Storms of Spring 513 AV took his entire family from him. Everyone he had ever known and loved was killed in the wake of the storms. The only reason Daveth survived due to being away in Riverfall. As the Skycrown family was a prominent member of the Diamond Clan, Daveth had been escorting the young sons of other Diamond clan families. They traveled in hopes of learning from the Akalak Masters of Riverfall. While the storms raged, all in Riverfall were not allowed to leave. When he returned to the Sea of Grass to find all he cherished was lost, he was devastated.
Distraught and the young Drykas set out to Syliras. In the days to come, the last memory of his father was him heading with a newborn brother in the direction of Syilras. He only recalled this, because he had asked his Grandmother about the whereabouts of his father once. With little hope, Daveth set out over the better part of a year with a caravan in the direction of the city. Along the way he acquired a rather nasty habit of drinking, occasionally gambling and fell into other vices to try and ease his grief.
At his journey's end he came to The Fortress of Peace and at present day searches for the brother he aims to find. And at present, searches for the brother he does not know.
