Bones moved forward, coming to another room... Petch, was he ever going to find his way out? And he swore that when he had been here in the day, he did not recall seeing rooms all over the maze. It was almost like it was different to last time he was here... Or perhaps he had just gone in a different part of it... But perhaps it was his time in Alvadas, getting lost in mazes there which actually did shift, which made him lean more towards that it was also shifting here.

Regardless, he thought to himself, he would likely climb a wall and try to get along that way, if he did not find his way to something soon... So far it had been nothing but randomness after randomness... But then, if there was this flying creature now perched on his head, who knew what else might be about...

It was then that he noticed that the room was not empty. It had a odd red stone in the middle of it. If he had known more about such things, he might have seen its value. As it was, he found it interesting, and considered picking it up, but was not really driven to do so by any thought of monetary gain.

Fer even hopped down to inspect it, giving it a one eyed gaze, without actually coming into contact with it. Bones thought for a moment, and carefully came up with a scientific and logical plan to test the stone, and to see if it was safe... He would poke it, with a sword.

He silently slid out his isurian blade, with its silvery hue that seemed to glimmer in the reflected light of the night, telling it was not normal steel, at least in Bones mind. With a slow practiced motion, he bent down, and poked the stone with the tip of the blade. If that did nothing, he would tap it with the flat of the blade, and if still nothing happened, he would bend down and pick it up with his free left hand.

As Bones tapped it with his sword, nothing happened, though the jewel did shuffle a bit from the force. When his picked it up, however, his hand began to get a tingling feeling. Even if he tried to drop it at this moment, he wouldn't be able to, and the tingling continued through the Dhani's body, eventually removing all feeling. Moments after that... everything would go black.

He would awaken almost a Bell later, with Fer sitting on his chest looking concerned. "You went asleep" he told Bones in matter-of-fact tone. The gladii user would feel slightly dizzy for the next while, but there were no obvious side affects. His hand was also clutched tightly around the ruby, but this time no strange tingling or feeling occurred. It was, quite literally, a basic (though large) gem.

From there, standing in the entrance he came in, there was three directions to go. Left would, after a slight squiggle, lead him to a room. Forward would take him straight there. Right would take him to an option of forward, or right. Right would take him to a room. Forward would lead to a T-junction. Left took him to a room, and so did right, after a bend in the path.

Perhaps as another person would have expected, nothing happened when he prodded the stone. Of course, Bones was not most people.

Poked it. Prodded it. All but picked it up. Which when he did do, had a immediate result of a widespread tingling, followed by blacking out. Not a normally good experience, nor pleasant, not when one was in as dangerous a place as he was.

When he came to, Fer alerted him to the fact that he had become unconscious, which was a bit obvious considering he was lying on the ground, with Fer perched on his chest to look at him.

He slowly got back to his feet, checking to make sure all his parts were still there and functional, and no one had absconded with any while he was out. Stranger things had happened... But no, ten toes, ten fingers, 2 hands, and 2 feet... He even did a quick pat to make sure his face was intact, and he still had a nose, when he realized he was still holding the stone he had picked up. It seemed normal enough now, so Bones slipped it into a pocket, and continued on, sliding his blade back away into its sheath over his back.

Onward and outward, Bones proceeded, taking the left path, which sort of jutted and crooked, zigging and zagging, till he ended up in another room.

"Fer... Doesss ssisss place ever end?" He asked tilting his head up to look at the beast that had returned to his head, forgetting once more that since he was clinging to his head, tilting it back brought him back out of sight. Though he thought for a moment he had seen a glimpse of his fur out of the corner of his eye as he looked straight up.

After taking the left path, there was a minor surprise. A Nykan monk, lying on the floor unconscious. Exactly how Bones had left him…. The Dhani had visited this room before. There seemed to be no further challenges here, and the available paths took him right or left.

OOCI swear this is one of the shortest posts I've ever made sorry bout that... buuut nothing new here :) You went in a circle!

Bones plodded along, ready to react to any danger he might see, his right hand on the hilt of his right blade behind his back. He tensed for a moment as he saw a mass, as he came out into another room...

Only to realize it was the same monk he had beaten earlier.

How the petch? To say the least this was getting a bit annoying to Bones, and he was increasingly considering climbing one of the walls and trying to walk out that way. This entire ordeal had just gotten repetitive and annoying. Of course, such were mazes... But still, he did not quite yet want to quit, in case something interesting was still to happen... Nothing much yet had, at least by his book. A few mangy dog thingies with no fur, of which he had taken some fangs... A odd rock. And an annoying flying land animal thing that would probably get eaten if it stuck around for to much longer...

And upon all that was time. Time, the passing of the moon above his head, inevitably bringing morning. At which point he guessed things would calm down a small bit here, and a sense of normality might return.

He also wanted to be a long way away from here when morning happened and the monks returned, considering he had knocked out a crazy one.

Bones would turn to Fer and ask him which way he thought they should go. If he said which way, he would follow it, and would likely continue to ask him which way and follow those to.

If it did not tell him, he would go left. He was uncertain if this would take him the same way as before, or back the same way he had gone, since he had gotten all turned about in this place.

Fer, at the request, wordlessly took off from the Dhani's head and glided right down the passage. He would periodically wait along the walls to let Bones catch up. He took a sharp right and quickly entered a room. This, if Bones could remember, was where he'd met the funny blue weasel. Still, Fer continued to fly past the room, heading straight forward then left, to another room. This was inhabited by another (and still living) creature.

ImageAn odd bat, wings tattered, and glowing green, flapped lazily around the space, occasionally swooping up on to the walls. It was nearly the size of a seagull, and drops of a funny looking liquid (the same color of the bat itself) was scattered around the floor, burning into the stone like acid. When it spotted the pair, the creature would immediately swoop at Bones, spitting the green stuff in the Dhani's face before returning to a perch on the wall. Fer, apparently not liking this, found himself his own spot, far away from the bat thing.
