Revenge Of The Three
Summer 26 513 AV, 11th Bell
"Without my friends I wouldn't be prepared to face whatever the day had to throw at me, it's 'cause of them that I found myself ready for what was to come... I just wish I didn't have to get them involved the way I did..."
Location: Ricky's place, Old Quarter
It was hot. Not hot but really hot, the humidity that hung over Zeltiva just didn't seem to let any cloud provide any shade. The sky was in fact clear with endless blue as the sun shone, near its highest point of the day before it'd begin to fall. Ricky would be preparing for his daily post as a Wave Guard today, except he wanted to check in with Odis and tell him about the things that had been going on. First he found a kitten he had to bring home after losing one of the escaped prisoners in a chase, then he had confronted one of the devils of his life, followed by a surprise party for his birthday in which his own father happened to show up for, so many things had happened in such short amount of time... and so many more was to come in the near future. Ricky simply decided to wear his cotton vest and pants to try and keep cool, a shirt would only make in sweat so much in this unusual humidity; he still tied the longsword to his leather belt for good measure. He gave Telion an armorous hug with wishes for a good day, and went on out the entryway of the building to head over to the Memorial grounds to visit his old friend.
---Location: Maria Satterthwite Memorial Cemetary (Castor)---
Ricky walked along the trail to find the somberly peaceful grounds of the Memorial before him, the graves lined in their order as the large stone structure shone as the beacon it was. The Memorial grounds served as a beacon for the loved lost ones, a place for them to forever rest their head so the world would no longer trouble them. For Ricky there was only one grave he had to visit thankfully, but one grave was still enough to help him understand. Death has a way of connecting people, in the times when things seem most dark, hope lights the way as though it were a beacon itself. For Ricky that hope was his friends, and of course his soon to be family he had. When he arrived to the cutlass that remained pierced in the ground Ricky came to a stop as he knelt down to feel the soft earth below him. The Zeltivan rope he had used for the collar still remained on the hilt and handguard of the cutlass from when he first wrapped it, the blade however had become rusted from the weather that covered the environment. The cutlass served as a reminder really, nothing more as the owner had no use for such a blade. Ricky's memory of the cutlass wasn't all that good anyway, it being the weapon he had to use the night Odis was killed cold blood. Ricky would only take a seat next to the spot Odis rested on, and bow his head as he would pray to his long lost brother.
---Location: West Street (Tallis)---
Burt had left the Grotto and went on his way to visit his son, he decided that the two of them still had a bit of catching up to do, and the best way for them to do so was with an old family lifestyle. Fishing. The old sea dog had left his personal belongings back at the Grotto, all he had was the white worn cotton shirt with sleeves ripped off and the brown rugged cotton pants he traveled in. The man certainly looked like Ricky at first glance, but to the observant eye they knew Burt by the scar over his right eye. Along with a more aged face and few spots of grey in his hair, the scar was an instant give away that Burt was in fact not Ricky. That's how gentics worked though, when you have a child you can expect them to look a lot like their parent. Burt still couldn't believe the amount of change that he missed, already his son had grown to become one respectable man of the city. He had a family on the way, a honorable job to live with, and great friends to help keep him going in life. All in all Burt couldn't have been any more proud of how much Ricky had grown.
As he shuffled along the semicrowded streets of Zeltiva Burt noticed one friend of Ricky's who he owed quite a debt to, a debt that gratitude couldn't simply be enough for the aid in reuniting father and son. "Young Tallis! How are ya today m'boy?" He greeted as he approached the Stormwarden, a humble grin on his face as he did so.
---Location: Ricky's Place, Old Quarter (Gale)---
When all would seem quite and peaceful within the solitude of the spare room, Gale would be enjoying his hot day doing the activity he thought best to do. Little did he, or anybody esle in the building, suspect that someone would come to pay Telion a visit. Knocks that were rather loud and obnoxious could be heard next door to the room, and Gale would find that after a moment of silence a scream would fill the hallway, and alert anyone else in the building that trouble just said hello...
When Gale would go to the door to open and see what the terrified scream was from, he would find that a man had a fire red haired woman on his back with arms wrapped around his head and neck. Both wrestled around as this did his best to pull her off, curses and swears thrown at her as both he and Hannah had flushed faces. "Telly! Lock the damn door and don't open it until I say so!" She demanded between grunts, the man winded backwards so he could ram Hannah against the wall. Though Gale couldn't see her, Telion obeyed without question as terror sunk in. A slam to the door followed by a click sound proved that Telion was safe, only for now anyway. Upon the floor Gale would see a cutlass that laid near his door, the tool for the intended murder of Ricky's beloved. Hannah was now against the wall in a daze as the man brought a fist from his left to her face, a small cry came from Hannah as she retaliated with a lunge to the man, she leeched onto him once more with her teeth now sinking into his right shoulder hard, and the man hollared in harsh pain as he struggled to push Hannah off of him. What will Gale do in this situation?
