Her hair, long and perpetually wavy is very white. It extends to her lower chest where she keeps it that length for the majority of the year, allowing it to lengthen in the winter and trimming it shorter in the summer. Her eyebrows are thick and a very light brown. They curve on her brow bone only slightly, just enough to notice that they round at all. Her nose is short, but rounded at the tip and above her thick round lips that curve downward rather sharply. It looks almost as if she is frowning all the time. Her lips do not have any point at the tips and are instead flatten like the rest of her mouth. Oriel’s lips are only slightly pinker than her skin, but are noticeably defined. Her eyes are small, but can appear quite large when widened, and eyelashes thin and tiny. Her pupils are a mix of a green-blue with green in the middle and blue forming an outer ring on the pupil. She is rather short in stature, a rough five feet and two inches tall. Her size makes her look pretty young despite her almost-adult age. Oriel weighs about one hundred and ten pounds, an average for a young Konti woman. FAMILY Grandmother: Grandmother Hieress I the main caretaker of the Hieress family. Her husband, a human died many years ago of old age and has never remarried. She is the caretaker of Oriel and her sister whom still live at home on Konti Isle. Grandmother Hieress is on the Grandmother council. She is a very old Konti, slightly past 250 and is not expected to live much longer. Luckily her granddaughters are grown now and can care for her. Mother: Vennia, the mother of Oriel, and her sister. She is the only daughter of Grandmother Hieress. She was always rambunctious and has been gone on yet another so called ‘Call’ that drew her away from Mura yet again. She went on one of these in her earlier years and was gone for many years until she came back with a husband and a daughter, Oriel’s older sister. She settled down in Mura for a while, until Oriel was born and grew up, as well as her sister. She left only a few months after her husband, the human and father of her two known children, died of old age. She has been gone now for about 20 years, much longer than she was gone before. Her family worries of her health, but has no way to track her down and see if she is still alive. Sister: Oriels older sister, by 15 years, is Maybella. She has many nicknames: May, Bella, Bell, Maybells, Bells and other such baby names that were made up over the years. She is a caretaker of Grandmother Hieress in her old age and works in the Opal Order as a book-keeper and note recorder for the Order. Maybella is the one who helped Oriel get a job supplying herbs to the Opal Order for medicines and such things. Maybella is a very caring and thoughtful older sister but doesn’t have much time for Oriel anymore as she takes care of her grandmother and works for the Opal Order for so many hours of the day. KONTI GIFT Oriel’s Konti gift, gifted by Avalis, is the ability to tell if a certain plant is poisonous or not. This does not tell her what part of the plant is dangerous, just if it has bad properties or not. In order for this to work, Oriel must touch the plant. Afterwards Oriel tends to learn and remember that this certain plant is poisonous. This gift only works for plants, both above and below water, it does not work for animals, food, drink, weapons, or anything else. GNOSIS MARK Avalis’ gnosis mark was gift to Oriel at birth, just like many of her fellow Konti sisters. This gnosis mark allows Oriel to see into the past, future and even the present. It is not like fortune telling, but instead it is reading Chavi.

HEIRLOOM Oriel’s heirloom is an average, but extensive book of plants. Received from Grandmother Hieress, but previously belonging to Oriel’s mother, Vennia. Grandmother Hieress had bought Vennia this book, a complete value of 50 gold mizas, a very expensive book at the time when Vennia was young, when her mother got into the hobby of botany. This phase was short, but according to Grandmother Hieress it was a very knowledgably time in Vennia’s life, and also one of very few stable times. After Vennia left for her ‘Call’ the second time, Grandmother decided it was time, as this was just when Oriel had started to get into plants, herbalism and botany, that the book was no longer any use to Vennia, nor had it been for many years, and would be better used, hopefully, with Oriel. Her grandmother then passed this full book of plants down to Oriel on her forty-fifth birthday.

Oriel has a small garden, located to the right of her house. This small, unassuming garden takes a large part in her tea making business as it holds some plants she uses to make her tea. Although most plants she harvests for tea come wildly, there are some that can strive in the conditions of her garden. This garden is simple and organized, not very large either. Only about 8 by 10 feet at its largest at a time, the plants are placed in neat little rows about a half a foot away from each other in all directions.

HOUSE A 20x20 house sits near Silver Lake on the property of the Hieress Family. This small abode houses Oriel Hieress. Surrounded by lush green grass and wild plants with Silver Lake behind, the ouside of the house is home to a Pen, or a female swan, owned by Oriel. Along the front and right side of the house are bright, colorful flowers and herbs of kinds that Oriel has planted with the help of her older sister. The left side of the house is where the Pen’s wheat food rests until fed to Pen and where Oriels gardening tools, a rake, shovel and hoe, lay in the dirt. The house on the outside is a white, pearly color, as per usual of Mura architecture. Only one small door leads into the home, on top of three small, white marble steps, made of white wood of the Silverwood forest, with iron as the handle, lock and hinges. There are no windows within the walls, but the roof is entirely stained glass that rounds into a dome, held together with welded iron. The glass is stained mostly pink, although there are hints of other colors like blue, yellow and green. Upon entrance of the home, there is only one room. The walls are the same white marble as the outside of the home, if not cleaner and the floor is a white-washed wood, like the front door. The furniture is delicately placed to make the house seem larger than it really is. At the threshold of the door, to the right there is a locked chest which contains Oriel’s clothing and other small items. To the left there, in the corner, is a small table and chair. Upon the table there is a journal and a book, quill and a jar of ink. In the far right corner of the home is a small bunk, with white sheets and a pillow neatly tucked into the mattress on the bed. Across from the bed, though more towards the desk and chair there is a small hearth used to heat Oriel’s food. Above this hearth is a good shelf that holds four flower pots, a glass jar, a mortar and pestle, a jug, pan, clay dish and cup as well as a fork, spoon and knife. The cup rests upon the dish and the silverware sits between the dish and jar. The jar sits at the left end of the shelf. On the other end are the flower pots in a neat row, followed by the glass jar, then the mortar and pestle and in the middle is the clay pan used for cooking. This home, unlike most Konti homes, does not have an entrance into the Silver Lake.
