63rd of Summer 513AV, 12th Bell
It was the afternoon in the Bronze forest, the summer sun shone its bountiful sunlight over the trees as a small breeze rustled their leaves. The forest fauna were doing their own day to day activities. The deer grazed, the wolves hunted and the bird flew about looking for food. Everything in the forest is how it should.
A small boy slowly navigated his way around the bronze forest. The boy was named Alex, Alexander Flynn White. On this day, Alex decided to be adventurous and leave the castle walls and head into the forest to listen to the relaxing sounds of the wildlife. Anyone could wander into the forest effortless, but Alex required a bit more dedication. He didn’t have the leisure of sight, and so he had to navigate through the forest literally bind. As Alex wandered aimlessly in the forest, Tallulah, his pet falcon, sat on his bag.
As the slight breeze rustled the leaves of the trees, Alex walked along the forest floor at a moderate pace, keeping a clear mental map of where he has been and where he hasn’t. Before leaving the city and heading in the forest, Alex used castle’s exit as an anchor point of his mental map. Alex continued traversing the forest. He used auristics to find out the physical properties of the area below him to get a sense of what type of area he was walking in. He also used the personal magic to avoid tree, by analysing the dirt’s quality. Low amount of nutrition in the dirt means a plant is nearby; the larger a plant is the less nutrition there is in the dirt. Using that concept, Alex can determine where a tree is and avoid it.
“Say, Lulu? Do you reckon we’ll find something interesting?” Alex said with his eyes closed. He spoke to his bird as it she was a sentinel being. Tallulah shrieked and Alex gave a hum in thought.
“You know, I’m hungry as well. Shall we have lunch, Lulu?” Alex said as he continued walking.
With his constant use of auristics which have been focused on the forest floor, he soon senses that he was walking on a plant-like surface. He quickly analysed the aura of the new type of ground he stood on and recognised it as grass.
“Ah, is that a clearing Tallulah?” Asked Alex and he kept walking. Into the area he assumed was a small clearing.
Alex’s guess was correct. he was in a clearing covered in grass. The grassy area was homed by deer, which grazed on the lushes grass. However, Alex wasn’t close enough to sense their presence or scare them away. Alex simply sat himself down on the soft grass and basked in the warm sunlight. The warm rays made him feel relaxed and calm.
“Off you get, Lulu” Alex said and he place is left hand on his right shoulder to allow Tallulah to climb on his hand. Tallulah walked over to Alex’s hand and she was lifted off his bag.
Alex took off his backpack and sat down on the grassy floor, place his bag beside him and then place Tallulah on top of it. Soon after, he reach in his bag a grabbed a bit of bread to munch on, giving a small portion of it to Tallulah. The two just sat in the forest, munching on bread, unaware of a bear that was nearby. It was a black bear. The bear wasn’t too big, but it wasn’t small either. The bear was wandering around the forest looking for food to each, like the rest of the wildlife.
