Rinya (Ertihan) Rinya's Theme Song : Race: Kelvic – Osprey Sea Hawk Gender: Female Age: 4 yrs Birthday: 30, Spring, 510 AV Birthplace: Slavery trading ship bound for Sylira Bondmate: No longer bonded as of the 47th of Spring, 514 AV Appearance: Being only 5’4”, Rinya has always considered herself slight. From living in the wilds, her frame is thin and muscular. Her long chocolate brown hair has a natural golden tint from the sun and soft waves, usually as a result from her plaiting her hair back away from her face during hunting. Her presence is quiet, easily looked over in a room, but when faced directly eludes confidence, even if most of the time she doesn’t feel that way. Her Sea Hawk form is of barely average size. Barely reaching four and half pounds, and less than a five foot wingspan, it’s her coloring that causes her to stand out against the dark green forests. With her wings and back a deep chocolate brown, and a nearly black mask across her eyes, contrasts her pure white underbelly and golden yellow gaze. Character Concept Rinya describes herself with two words. Self reliant. Most traders in Sylira had called her rude or arrogant, but Rinya simply suffers from lack of interaction. Her father rarely let her wander Sylira unless to trade, due to his fear of slavers, and it has left her with little to no interaction with anyone other than traders. She often speaks her mind, but the regard in which she speaks is often construed as thoughtless. Words often fail her, and she tends to offend people before they get the chance to know her. Her standoffish behaviour also stems from a fear of bonding. Granted, not a fear of the bonding itself, but of finding someone willing to understand her despite her inability to speak her thoughts clearly. While her genetics pushes her harder to find someone to bond with now that she has reached maturity, she dreads the idea of never falling into such a bond. Despite watching many couples from above in raptor form fall in love, or jest each other in sibling rivalry, she cannot fathom building such a bond with another given her incapacity to socialize. Her father often teased her she’d likely charm the animals she’d hunt before charming another intelligent being. Despite a blunt sense of honesty, she really is quite shy and easily taken off guard. Settling into a new city will provide extremely difficult for her, especially since her father has left her to her own devices, abruptly leaving her behind with a vague note of being old enough to most certainly take care of herself. Rinya accepts the challenge willingly, hoping to learn more about herself and others, without the safety net of home lingering behind her. Character History Rinya doesn’t know where she was born exactly. Her mother and father had been breeding Kelvics, not bound to each other, but out of mutual necessity for freedom, had managed to escape while their trading ship had docked in Sylira’s harbour. Her mother was still healing from giving birth a few days before hand. Infection settled into her body before either of them could treat it, and she passed a few days after they had made it to Pavi Lake. It would be weeks later before her father would move them much closer to Sylira, only seeking shelter within when the weather would provide too dangerous to remain outside. Her father, left with the task of raising her, taught her all he could about hunting and trading. He was not generally affectionate, spending much of his time in his wolf form after her first year of life. Despite Rinya’s attempts at forming some sort of relationship with her father, he always kept her at arm’s length. Rinya supposed he only took care of her out of some promise he eluded he made to her mother before she died. With her third year of life nearing, her father’s sudden disappearance stung, but she had grown accustom to the idea that he may leave her once she was old enough. With a short letter describing only that he was “proud” of her, and she knew more than enough to take care of herself, Rinya found she had little left to care about in Sylira. Perhaps the trade route that brought her parents to Sylira, would offer her more than her father ever could. After all, she would be fully mature by the time she reached her destination. Timeline Summer, 513 Rinya left Sylira and emerged in Riverfall early in the summer. She worked towards understanding Riverians views on Kelvics, and worked her way into finding a decently paying job. In the middle of summer, Rinya came across an artist who turned out to be her bondmate. The summer was fill of firsts for her, including her first friend Dust, and even a first kiss. Fall, 513 Rinya finds herself becoming increasingly comfortable in Riverfall. She took a mate in the form of her very own bondmate. Despite the emotional stress throughtout the whole season, Rinya found she actually enjoyed teaching. Even with the appearance of an ex lover, Rinya became closer than ever to her bondmate…and even married. Relationships   Strangers Name What Rinya Thinks Kirsi Winterflame Rinya doesn’t know much about her really. She’s not fond of her yet, kind of jealous actually.
