17th of Summer, 513AV - 15th Bell
It was afternoon in the city of Syliras. With only a few clouds scattered in the sky, the sun beamed down its radiant light, giving the city a golden glow. In the Nettle District, Alexander Flynn White was on his was back home, an orphanage called The Welcome Home. Alex was helping Aenysa, the care-taker, by buy flowers from the Flower Stand for an activity with the other orphans.
Alex wasn’t sure what she needed flowers for, but he was happy to collect them for her. Alex was quite obedient to Aenysa, mainly because her kindness made Alex feel indebt to her. After all, it was her who found him in the rain after Alex’s heartless father left him behind to fool around with women who don’t know any better.
With the flowers poking out of his bag, Alex followed his mental map of the city and was on his way home. The flowers that poked out of Alex’s bag greatly contrasted from Alex’s dull clothing, Colours of white, blue, pink and red were so bight that a person from the distance could see them. Because Alex required carrying something in his bag, Tallulah, his bet falcon, was left on the table top in Alex’s room. She was given some food to keep her occupied as Alex preformed the errand.
Alex listened closely to the footsteps of people nearby, judging their position in his mind so he could avoid running into them. The Nettle District wasn’t as busy at the Dyres District so it was quiet easy to navigate through the place. Step by step, He walked until he was near the tavern known as the Rearing Stallion.
Alex stopped momentarily to listen to the events happening within the building. It was still at tad bit early for the Tavern to be as rowdy as the night, but it was late enough not to be as peaceful as the day. The slurred voices of rowdy Patrons was quite amusing to listen to at time, but it’s also hard to understand. One of the Parton was yapping on about a lady he had met, while his drinking buddy was trying to convince him that he met a dog dressed in a dress. Alex just stood by the tavern and gave a giggle about the type of things that drunkards talked about.
After indulging him in some humours comedy, Alex continued walking forward unaware that a he was about to bump into a man. Alex took three steps before the bump happened. Alex stumbled two steps back and was slightly disorientated surprised. Alex looked vaguely in the direction of the person he had run into. His clouded eyes looked in the man’s direction without focus as the moved back as they moved around as if they were searching for something to look at.
“S- Sorry about that” Alex Apologized as he composed himself. Alex wasn’t sure if the he had bumped into is a man or a woman, but he suspected that it was a man from how his body felt when he ran into his side.
“Are you okay?” Alex asked, the assumed man making sure he didn’t do damage to the person.
Alex soon realized that his bag felt lighter, as if something was lost from his bag. He then realized that the flowers had dropped somewhere, but he wasn’t sure where they dropped. Alex gave a gasp and he dropped to the floor searching for the flowers with his hands along the stone ground. The flowers did indeed drop, the bundled up flowers was behind Alex not too far from him.
“Oh on, Oh on…” Alex murmured in panic.
“Aenysa will get angry at me…” He continued, as he franticly searched the ground.
