Akasha Basic Information Race: Kelvic (Eagle Owl) Birthday & Age : 45th of Spring 504 (6 years old) Gender: Female Physical Description (Human) Akasha stands at 5'8" and weighs 130lbs. She is light, due impart to her bestial form and can be called slender, although she'd much prefer athletic and well built. She has chestnut colored hair riddled with strands of black and sandy brown, with her locks being brittle and coarse to the touch, almost akin to feathers. Her facial structure is oval, her skin is a light olive tone and her nose is pronounced but soft. The most astonishing part of Akasha, however, are her eyes. A smoldering orange in color and saturated to the point that it appears impossible to behold, they belie her true form and are sometimes quite intimidating on sight. She tends to have unnerving stares towards others. Her clothes usually consist of loose-fitting garments that don't restrict her movements or hinder her in any way. She enjoys the feeling of the texture against her skin when a wind passes by. Physical Description(Eagle Owl) Akasha's Eagle Owl form is enormous. A mutation in her lineage has caused her bestial self to grow exponentially, surpassing the normal height and weight of her species. Her wingspan reaches nearly 35ft, with eyes that glow like furious orbs of sunlight in the dark and allow her to hunt proficiently. Her feathers consist mainly the colors that make up her hair: chestnut, black, a sandy brown and white and two distinct tufts of feathers sprout from her cranium on either side of her eyes, distinctive to the eagle owl. Her beak is an obsidian tone and her claws are as sharp and quick as any raptor that dominates the sky. In this form, she is a force to be reckoned with, but she is also a very passionate protector. Character Concept Akasha is true to her Eagle Owl self both in her demeanor and her way of life. She is an opportunist, incredibly fierce when in combat and adaptable to any situation. She is possessive and loyal, and due to her kelvic nature, the solitary part of her owl-self is trumped, and she is on a constant search for a companion. Despite the ferocity in her overall vibe, Akasha is quirky and a real trouble-maker when it comes to dealing with people in general. She cares not for personal privacy, and she often makes lewd jokes or blatantly insults someone right in their face. She's loud and unashamed, and she doesn't care of the repercussions of her actions, but her soft, charming expressions usually results in mild reprimands for her words. The other side to her personality consists of soft-spoken sentences and plenty of cuddles. Completely opposite of what she normally acts around strangers. This side is hidden quite well, and only rears it's head when she has found someone she could truly call a friend, and accepts her for who she is and what she might become. She is confident in her abilities and is normally quite loud in her possessive nature. However, when it comes to enslavement and any inability to fly, she would rather die than be grounded for the rest of her life. Likes: Akasha enjoys eating meat and fish, and even fruits and vegetables. She's definitely a big eater. She also enjoys singing, the color blue (surprise surprise, the sky is blue!), swords, especially katanas, the night, twilight, rain, and a good laugh. Dislikes: Akasha despises enclosed spaces. She isn't particularly fond of fires blazing at night as it irritates her night vision, and people who generally come off as elitist or pompous. Character History Hailing from the sun scorched lands of Ekytol, Akasha was raised amongst the Kalanue Chaktawe in the east. She was the result of a rare Chaktawe Kelvic mating with another of her kind, and most if not all of her tribe assumed a kelvic would be produced, but to add to their surprise, the child came out to have bright yellow-orange eyes akin to the sun and coarse light brown hair. It was clear she was different, but at the age of 6 months, Akasha had mastered her bestial form, and her size and the clear fact she was avian made her quite a spectacle to behold. Despite the fact that she could not store water like her Chaktawe cousins, she consistently practiced soaring the clear skies and finding streams of water from above, or helping her tribe hunt the goats of the redstone formations (much to the annoyance of the benshiras who lived there!) She was different, but she was not punished for such. She was recited the tales of her people, accepted as one of the Chaktawe and taught their ways. There was nothing particularly exciting that occurred in the span of the two years she lived amongst her people. Her mother had told her the day would come when she would find a bondmate of her own, as that was the way of her race and what she was created to be. But in the season of Spring, before her 3rd birthday her predatory nature exploded forth. Tensions had grown between the Benshiran hunters and the Chaktawe warriors, and Akasha was caught in between. Being fiercely territorial hadn’t helped her cause when the benshirans brought weapons to fend them off. They had cornered her friend, Hachani and were beating her with stones and the hilt of their swords, and Akasha had stood there, blood boiling deep in her skin. In a flurry of feathers and with the frail protests from Hachani, Akasha had devoured a benshiran in mere chimes. Much turmoil ensued after such an act, and spears and swords were slashed at the enormous avian, to the point where they had forced her to flee. Her mind had been consumed in fury, but in her heart she was sickened by what she had done. Hachani had been left defenseless in her scurry to escape, and who knew what horror befell her in the hands of the benshirans? Akasha had not the heart to return to the tribe, and instead flapped her wings hard and strong and soared across the burning landscape of the Ekytol desert. She would escape the consequences of her actions, and leave it behind to rot in the sands of time. Many weeks had passed until she had collapsed in the lands of Cyphrus amidst the swaying grass of the plains. As luck would have it she was found by a veteran swordswoman of Drykas descent, who found the sight of a naked girl curled under the shade of a tree to be rather odd. She took her in, nourished her to good health and asked her where she had come. Akasha would not reveal this fact, seeing as she had stuck it in the back of her mind to forget. The woman introduced herself as Rae Windreaver, and over the span of several days, Akasha was amazed at her incredible ability to use the sword. Rae knew the girl was a kelvic, and she relayed to her that she assumed because of her great size, she was hindered on where she could go in her bestial form. “Why don’t you train under me and learn the styles of the katana? This way you aren’t left vulnerable in this state and you are free to wander where you will without fear of being overcome.” Akasha had instantly agreed to such, and thus they began their hours long practices over several years. After plenty of training, sparring and practicing, Rae released Akasha out to the world, but not before bringing her to the heart of Endrykas and forging a custom sword for her liking. She stated the kelvic should find what it is she truly wants in life, and to find someone she wishes to protect and love with all her undying passion. Training (Skills, Arcana, Gnosis, Lore)
