Sayren could do little to nothing but accept Ximal's harsh strikes. As if the blow to her gut hadn't already came close to putting her out of commission, then the giant placed a blow on her spine. A moment later he snapped some critical critiquing. She was still too tense?! Before she could even react, he shot at her with his elbow, and brought his hand for a chop to her...neck. He stopped just a hair short of it. It was all so quick and her eyes filled with terror. She could already feel the tears welling up in her eyes. She managed to glance up at his eyes. His eyes, they weren't silver anymore? Was he...tiring? It had distracted her from the fact that she had long dropped to her knees a single tear streamed down her face.

Ximal finally spoke, telling her to step back, breathe, and loosen up. It was Savio's turn, and this wasn't going to end till either they collapse, or their master. So they just had to outlast him? Even after the hits she took, she somehow felt her master was...struggling? She was taking deep, and slow breaths. Holding her gut as she stepped aside. Feeling her pride, shattered once again as she sat down and glanced over at Savio. Never realizing she hadn't brushed away that small tear.

Ximal was like living lightening with his attacks. He has easily avoided Sayren’s head butt as though it was nothing. Once she hit ground once more, he followed up with a strong backhand to her back to upset her balance which made her fall once more to the ground and rendered completely defenseless. Ximal’s voice was hard and like a crack of thunder as he told Sayren the flaws of her stance. But before she could even reply, his moved into her once more, this time leading with his elbow to deliver what appeared to be a killing blow. Savio gasped and was about to step forward to attempt to stop the man, in case he had lost himself in the heat of the moment but Ximal’s hand had stopped itself right above her exposed neck. He had been in control the whole time, thank the gods.

The fear on Sayren’s face was as clear as day. She must have seen her life flash before her eyes in that instant. But she was alive, and Savio could see the wetness that formed in her eyes, and even caught a glimpse of a tear rolling down her cheek. Despite the fact that they were competing, he wanted to go to her make sure she was okay. But Sayren was a proud girl and his aid would have just hurt her even more. So he remained in place and didn’t acknowledge here moment of weakness as she stood up once more and moved over to stand next to him at Ximal’s command.

It was Savio’s turn and he needed to be better. He was also curious if his ideas would actually work. Savio stepped past Sayren and towards Ximal. He knew his biggest flaw the last time he went against Ximal was his hesitation. That would not be the case this time. He easily got into his stance; his arms and body loose from both his training with Ximal and practice in acrobatics. But he adjusted the stance Ximal had taught them. He crouched lower, bringing his center of balance lower as well. This way, power could easily build in his thighs and legs for fast movements or higher jumps. His upper body was also lowered down.

He stepped forward in one smooth motion and into Ximal’s space. He launched a punch towards Ximal’s lower abdomen, moving his shoulder in with the punch like Ximal had taught him with a speed that he had practiced many times in the last few days. Granted, he was no were near as fast. If the attack hit, which he doubted, he planned on stepping to the right and sending another punch to Ximal’s unprotected ribs. If his first punch didn’t strike, and was either dodged or blocked, Savio was going to roll out of immediate strike range, resume his stance and then step forward, aiming a kick towards the Master’s knee in an attempt to hobble the Master.

Xi drew in a slow breath as savio closed in behind him, Xi turned to face him to see sav in the stance he'd taught unlike say he was looser however his centre of gravity was also much lower due to crouching. Good. Xi exhaled slowly, the reason he'd told say not too be so tense was because it telegraphed an attacks motions. Now savio had the opposit problem by lowing his centre of gravity against a larger opponent he had essentially made his attacks have to travel a further distance to reach the same target. Xi stepped forwards as savio did. Knowing full well that this was his way to strike but not knowing that savio would do the same, however that made his counter easier. Xi's left arm came up and blocked the stroke at his chest.at that exact moment his rear placed left foot shifted around on the balls of his foot sweeping around and his hips locks his stance and he used both his shoulder muscles and his biceps to blast out a punch at lightning speed and near point black range. Even if sav had planned to leap back out the way he was now forcing sav to either fall backwards or take a solid blow to the chest.

If Xi hit he would then step back and allow sav time to recover. Each moment he let the recover was a moment he himself had to recover and he was already running on next to no energy, he could feel himself running on the last fumes of his power. Xi would step back and take a few breaths with his shoulders. Using them to help drink down the oxygen and restore his energy a little. He was right in his choices of his students, they just needed some minor tweaks to fix their basics. After that he'd start on intermediate level strikes. With Say though he'd already taught her an advanced level technique, however in the time since he'd taught it to her how much had she practised it ?

Sayren watched as Savio rushed at Ximal. He clashed with their master in his best effort. Only to be outmatched by Ximal's strength. Savio was at least trying she thought. She remembered when all he did was try to avoid his fists, now he was at least trying to do some damage of his own. She tilted her head watching Savio deftly avoid a punch. It surprised her, usually Ximal would just thrash them down, a second not to be spared, then step back to give the lecture, but Savio dodged it. Not only that, but he used the momentum to lash back out at Ximal. Something else came to her attention, Ximal's breath was heavy. Drained as well. It seemed like Savio needed that current weakness to help him. Or else, just like Sayren, he would've been plastered all over the floor.

She had finally caught her breath and was ready and waiting in her stance. Abiding her time and anticipating when Savio would finally be knocked down by their master. She was certain it would be soon. Now she was just hoping she was just fast enough to pull off Ice Blue.

Ximal’s movements were swift and precise. He had easily blocked Savio’s attack with his left arm and settled into his offensive stance. Savio soon realized his folly just as Ximal’s fist lashed out of him, and flung himself back away from the attack. He could feel the air hit him on his chest, which he preferred over the meaty fist that had been intended. But in all reality, the attack should have been faster. It was slower than normal, and it gave Savio a split second to react when it shouldn’t have at all.

As Savio fell back, he thought quickly about one of the moves he had practiced in his mind’s eye. He allowed his body to move with the momentum toward the ground, his body curving slightly as he flung up his hands above and behind his head to catch himself before his shoulders and back crashed into the ground. He continued to let the momentum propel his body into a crunched position, like a spring coiling has his hands and upper shoulder’s braced him. The rest of his body had not yet made contact with the ground when he pushed off with all if his strength, uncoiling his body and locking his legs together to form a living javelin being launched towards Ximal; all of these actions only happening in the space of a few seconds.

Savio aimed his legs towards Ximal’s chest and upper abdomen. If then kick hit, the force and momentum would knock the teacher off balance just long enough to use Ximal’s chest to push up into a semi back hand spring to land on his feet once more at a safe distance. If it did not hit, and it was somehow dodged or blocked…Well… Savio hadn’t planned that far ahead since he was still exploring his new techniques. But if the move was not successful, it was a sure thing that Savio would going to regret it.

OOCIf this doesn't make sense or seems too advanced for Savio's skill level, I can readjust it so that it fits.

ImageSavio moved to avoid the strike in the only way Xi could have seen he had the chance too, even with his moves sluggish and his breathing heavy he was still a force to be reckoned with. However that gave the lithe savio some leeway to work with, and sav used some training of his own to show Xi new technique that he had been working on tucking his body up and bracing his head allowing his shoulders to hit the ground first and absorb the impact his attack however came from his feet. Xi watched the positioning of savio's body and at the last moment before they snapped out side stepped. The legs of savio now cutting the air like a knife. The attack looked almost like a cobra's strike. Xi smirked, even with the heavily warn out frame of stature. Xi took a deep breath and then Xi stepped in shifting his body around and bringing his hand over like a falling anvil aimed at savios gut. If it hit sav would be losing is lunch and Xi would be calling Say back in to take his place. Xi would then stand and speak. Say round two and sav, two things one think up a name for that attack and get better at it. Two your gonna need to clean that mess up."

In all honesty, Savio was surprised that his counter attack worked out how he had imagined it. What he wasn’t surprised by was Ximal dodging his attack and then bringing down a fist of doom onto Savio’s exposed stomach. Savio crashed to the ground below, gasping and gagging before rolling over onto his side and vomiting what little was in his stomach onto the wooden floor of the training room.

Savio groaned in reply to Ximal’s suggestion, and command. One hand held his injured stomach as he used his other hand to wave Ximal and Sayren away from him and his mess so that once he was able to get his bearings, he could clean it up.

It was time for round two, Savio's counter to Ximal's strike didn't quite work out for him as it seemed. She sighed, he's been catching up to her, and it was irking her pride. She glanced back at Savio to see him lose some of his lunch from the last impact Ximal brought down onto him. She wanted to help him up first, but she knew it would be a bad idea. It would make Savio feel weak and pitied. And it would also give Ximal a chance to rest more. Making her chance of beating, that much more scarce.

She swiftly took a stance in front of Ximal. She promptly shot her left foot to his chest. This is where one out of a few things will happen. Either one, the strike will land, and she will use the momentum to swing herself around on her toes, then lash out another kick with the left leg, then coil backwards before her master can strike. Or two, he will dodge, in which then she will point her toes, roll her torso, and use the momentum to lift herself and go for another strike in midair. Where she will then hopefully flip back and gain some distance from him for her landing. Either which way, there will be some distance between them both. Optimistically...

ImageXi rose back up from the ground his muscles now screaming at him and his breathing still heavy. Xi swung his head and eyes back around to sayren. Only to see her already in stance and ready for him. Xi exhaled and smirked the stance of his now starting to fall. Xi shifted into a difference stance falling into hsi formless one. letting his arms get a rest by letting them down to his sides. His legs shifted to hold his body in place. Her leg then shot out like a rocket at least to his now fatigued mind. Xi slid his body back slowly and let the kick slide past only to see her twist he body mid way. She thinks she's going to beat me with my own technique?! Oh heck no! Xi leant into the gap and brought his fist down on he lowered leg whilst locking his left arm around her raised leg. And with a swift rolling motion of his body he would sweep he legs out from beneath her before attempting to slam her down into the ground.

If he did she was going down chest first. And xi would be rising from the ashes again. If it worked and he ended her attack before it began all was well, if he didn't then he was in pole position to lift his arms and brace them both for the kick, then bring his left arm over and down into her stomach and slam her back first into the ground. Either way Xi would still be standing and she would still be in until savio got his shyke together and pull himself up from the ground.

Seeing Ximal dodge her first strike went as expected. She followed through with the pointing of her toes and was about to lift herself into the air, launching the second strike. It seemed like Ximal had noticed all too quickly what she was about to do and moved under her to throw her off balance, but he wasn't as fast as he would've been. However, that didn't stop him from blocking that kick with both of his arms. She knew what was coming next. She went to launch the second kick but it was quickly intervened by a punch to the gut as she dropped to the floor. It was quite the whammy, but she knew she hadn't gotten hit as hard as Savio did. Reason being, she still had breakfast in her belly.

That didn't mean the punch hadn't thrown her off though. She got up as quickly as she could. Trying to catch her breath. She knew he'd catch onto it. She was now in belief that the attempt being successful was just optimistic. Still...she gave it a shot. Now it was onto another plan of attack. She was going to launch a right punch to his chest, twisting and curling it till it hits about his ribcage. If it hits, she will vault a kick from her left foot, seeing that she will be rather close to him with the punch and almost in the same stance just from how she placed her steps. If the punch misses, she will use the momentum to swing her around, bringing her left heel up and striking at his chest. She had a feeling that neither of these sequences will play out like they did in her mind, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying.
