Xi shifted his feet again locking them down less for an attack and more to hold himself up. His energy was sapped and drained, the fumes in his energy reserves all but gone, the sweat poured off of him like a snow-man in ekytol, he was warn out and he knew it, but that was his goal to take someone on whilst being completely drained. The victory scene from an exhausted Razkar and a completely drained Xi played out in his mind over and over and he clenched his hand into a fist, his knuckles turning white. His eyes sharp with a fire of determination that beguiled his warn out appearance, he had little to nothing left however he was going to beat them both into submission, Savio he already hat, and Sayren was...proving more difficult. She had been his student longer and it was showing. The punch that came he twisted his upper torso to avoid now running on bare minimum energy, and using the same to dodge everything. His anger over his loss and his anxiety now turning into a weapon a hard focused blade to cut through all of the motion. Even in this drained state he could still focus enough to see, perhaps even more so. he'd dodged the punch by a literal hairs breadth.

And Sayren didn't stop there her leg came around in follow up her heel now flying towards him like a bolt of lighting. It seemed he'd taught her well to conserve momentum with "Ice Blue" Xi smirked and leant in to her like he had before closing the gap between her leg and himself taking the brunt of her rear thigh on his abdomen instead of her heal at his chest. His arm then rose up between the gap in her legs and he'd aim to strike her stomach with an open palm thrust to knock her back to the ground. If he did he'd then drop like a ton of bricks beside her and let his had stop in a balled fist inches from her face. If that worked good if it didn't. He was still close enough to do the opposite and strike from behind however there it'd be a punch to her tail bone, which would shake her balance off. And if that one worked he'd then let her hit the ground before mounting her and pinning her to the ground with his body weight belly down. Either way...her bout was over. And Xi knew though he wouldn't get much of a chance to catch his breath. Still though he would speak calmly and say regardless of which happened. "That's twice you've died. Eight points against you. But...Twelve points for you...Savio needs six to catch up...but he's at ten against for vomiting."

It only took a few chimes for Savio to recover enough to get back on his feet and clean up his mess with a nearby dry mop, all the while keeping an eye on Sayren and Ximal’s sparing. Ximal looked like he was on his last leg when it came to his energy and there seemed to be a look of slight anger in his eyes. Sayren was coming closer and closer to making her attacks hit. Savio was both impressed and envious. He did not want Sayren to win. He wanted to learn that new attack, not for the sake of knowing it but in the spirit of competition. And by Tavasi, he was going to win!

Savio watched as Sayren took several hard hits and still be able to get back on her feet. For such a small woman, she had a will of steel and as much determination as himself. He liked that. She seemed more confident as of late too, and Savio couldn’t help but wonder why. That was something he would have to ask her later, but for right now he had to stay focused on the fight at hand. He next turn was fast approaching and his mind whirled with possible ideas on how to attack Ximal. Savio wasn’t too tired, but he wasn’t at full energy either. His next attack depended on Ximal’s exhaustion and just how angry Ximal was. Savio formulated a plan, it was a gamble but he was willing to make that gamble if that meant he was going to get back even or surpass Sayren.

Sayren tried to follow up with the kick. She had a feeling she was going to miss. She was hoping the kick would've been quick enough from the momentum to finally strike at her master. But alas, this was not so. He had closed the gap quickly, making her thigh strike at him instead of her heel. Blast. Before she could react to his approach, he struck her belly with an open palm. Bringing her down to the ground with the weight of his body. His fist fist balled in front of her face as they fell. She hit the ground, waiting for the impact of his fist. It didn't come however, it was just hovering above her forehead. Lingering as she took a few moments of breathing in.

That's twice you could've died her master told her calmly. She had eight points against her, however, she had gained twelve more. So she was at a total of four points currently. Apparently very far ahead of Savio, since he was at against ten for vomiting. So she was in the lead...for now, she had to keep it that way. She sighed and pulled herself away from her master and sat down on her knees off to the side. Awaiting Savio's next move against Ximal.

Xi'd started to breath with his shoulders as he rose from the ground His body shifted on the balls of his feet and his body slouched he was running on the last of his fumes. Xi let his muscles go lax and now he was going to try out fighting with no muscle tension, no excess energy input, his body squared off against and towards savio, takig a few moments to gather his beath he let him pull close for his attack and after this push he was at his end this would be his last round as the effects of cyanosis were beginning to set in, and his face was starting to turn a minor shade of purple from lack of breath and continued output of energy. His shoulders rose and fell his chest expanded and breathed deep sucking down as much oxygen as possible. His head lowered and he began to look more like an animal; than a man. The last moments of a tiger were his fiercest, and xi held that true, the last moments he cold fight were the moments that were the scariest, as then he had no reason to hold back, and he'd known from his time with savio that he could unload in his last moments without fear of killing him.

Even the look he'd gotten from Razkars eyes when he was last in this state burned into him, even he was shocked by how much of a monster he became when his stamina was almost exhausted. Xi's mouth curled into a smile and his canines flashed his breath hissed out between his teeth with every breath sounding less and less human. This was to build up enough fear in savio to push him back for a long enough moment for Xi to draw in enough breath to put him out for a time. "What are you waiting for? A written invitation? Come at me!" Xi roared in a blatant show of his killing intent putting that show behind his positioning and the masquerade he wore. Showing savio that there were fighters like this in the world and that he needed to learn about them. What better time to show off than when his back was against a wall?

Something changed in his teacher, and it set Savio on edge. The only way to describe it was that static feeling that the air holds right before a massive electric storm. As Sayren scrambled away from Ximal’s hulking form, Savio’s heart began to pick up speed. Ximal stood up from the ground, the teacher was hunched over and breathing heavily and his skin was a strange color. But it was the man’s eyes that struck fear into Savio’s very soul. It was as though this man- no…-this MONSTER had invaded his teacher’s body and now had its sights trained on Savio. Savio never once had to be scared for his life before, until this very moment.

Savio’s skin turned pale and he swallowed hard. He wanted to turn and run away, to escape. But he didn’t. Despite his weaknesses, he was not a coward. Things seemed to move slower for Savio, and color seemed to shift ever so slightly. He could feel the adrenalin coursing through his veins, numbing his skin while making him hyper sensitive. His pupils dilated, and his hair stood on end. All he could hear was the pounding of his heart in his ears; it was like the dull sound of crushing ocean waves. Of course, all of these sensations and physical changes only took mere ticks.

Then he heard Ximal’s command.

Without another moment of hesitation, Savio rushed Ximal. It was like he was moving in slow motion. It was a peculiar feeling but Savio didn’t have the mental capacity to think on it as of that moment. All he could think about it that he should not let Ximal rest. He needed to strike now, he needed to strike fast. Savio stepped into Ximal’s space and lashed out with several, fast punches that had no power to mask the powered uppercut to the abdomen that fallowed them. Savio knew that the minor punches would be deflected or dodged; his goal was to distract Ximal’s defenses. If the uppercut struck, he would step to the side and lash out another powerful attack with his knee to Ximal’s abdomen. Savio remembered how being struck there made it difficult to breathe and Ximal looked like he was already having a hard time with that process.

If not, he would have to dodge the resulting powerful attack from Ximal. Any attack from Ximal right now will be power based, not so much on speed. But that didn’t mean that the attack wouldn’t be lightning fast. Dodging would be close to impossible at this closeness. But something would click in Savio’s mind: a lesson from Bones when he was being taught the Gladius. Punches would be like stabs, right? So that means they could be redirected by using the wielder’s own strength. So Savio would test this theory, and if Ximal attacked with a punch, Savio would use an open hand to redirect the attack away from him. Once redirected, Ximal would be left off balanced, if only slightly. It would be a tiny window, but if Savio had the speed, and if Ximal was too exhausted to counter, Savio would grip onto Ximal’s arm and pull him down, increasing his momentum to the ground, he would then kick at the teacher’s legs and feet to break the foundation and perhaps bring the giant to the ground.

Xi's breathing was erratic but this was his last stand after this if savio went down or not Xi was headed for the ground too. He cold see the undiluted fear in his student however his choice to attack was foolish, Brave but foolish. Xi watched savio move with the speed of a man possessed by his adrenalin. His body began to move faster than the normal and his body had grown more responsive. Good. Xi watched savio enter his space and from that moment savio's fate was sealed. Xi took one breath as deep as he could make it and then held his breath, the an anaerobic motions now allowing him to exceed his normal punching limit as his muscles also remained loose that would help push the limit further. Xi shifted his foot into savios space and met him with his own gusto, as savio's blows began to fly Xi lifted his arms up and let havoc unfold. He sent out a barrage of punches, for every one savio threw Xi threw three. Blocking each of the random punches with one then hamming his own fists into savio's chest forgoing power and muscle contraction for muscle looseness and pure unbarred speed.

Each punch carried little force of power but a fair amount of weight from Xi's arms in motion. The blows landing all upon his central line across the sternum of his chest if they hit then savio was not going to be standing beyond the fifth impact. Xi would then keep throwing blows until another tick passed then Xi would release his breath and tumble backwards before lying prone on the floor. His breathing hard and his body unable to respond to his orders through exhaustion. His chest heaving with each breath and his eyes shut. "This...is where...I call an end." Xi would then lay there until his breath returned and he could move once again. For now his spar with his two pupils was over. Regardless of whether savio went down or not Xi was going down from lack of energy in his system he needed time to recover from the exhaustive state.

All of Savio’s planning was foiled when Ximal attacked not with power but with speed. Savio had not anticipated it, he had been sure Ximal would lean on his power in his weakened and angered state. Savio was wrong and now he was getting hit with a fury of blows. He attempted to fight back, but for every one of his punches, he received two. In short moments, he was beaten down until he was on his knees, trying to guard against the blows rather than continue with his pointless attacks. The pain was numbed by the adrenalin but that didn’t mean that he wasn’t aware of the fists striking his chest. Even though the thrashing only lasted for a few ticks, it felt like forever.

When the attacks stopped, Savio was breathing raggedly. His arms still held in a defensive position, frozen in place for fear of more hits waiting for him to lower his guard. But instead he heard the loud sound of Ximal’s heavy body hitting the floor. Savio peeked over his arms and saw Ximal collapsed on the ground, breathing hard and covered in sweat. That must signal the end of the testing. And Savio failed. Again.

Sayren tried to keep a close eye on both fighters. Ximal was at the brink of total exhaustion. It didn't completely surprise her that he master still had some punches to throw. The two collided. Savio was doing his best, it was obvious he had thought out a long plan of attack, it was unfortunately ruined by Ximal's swift strikes. It was one barrage after another. Bringing Savio to his knees. It seemed like Ximal was going to deliver the final blow when he stopped, tumbling backwards and falling onto the floor. Uttering the words this was the end.

Sayren didn't hesitate to rush to her master's side, "Ximal? Ximal!?" She was checking his breathing, it was still there and he seemed unconscious. Did he push himself to such extremes? She sighed as she fetched for a wet rag on the side and placed it on Ximal's forehead. Glancing over at Savio, "You okay? He seemed to have given you quite the thrashing." Her eyes quickly went back over to Ximal, checking him one more time before returning her attention to Savio, "He seems stable, but I wouldn't know for sure. I highly doubt we can heave him to the Great Infirmary from here. I'm fairly certain that if we can just keep him cooled down, then he should be okay. At least...I'm hoping that's the case." She tried to heave one of Ximal's arms over her shoulder. "A little help please?...He's kinda huge if you haven't noticed..."

Savio coughed while still on his knees as he rubbed his chest where Ximal had pummeled him with a shower of punches. One single hit didn’t hurt so much, but there was so many and so fast that it felt like one big punch. By the Gods, he might need to take another trip to the Great Infirmary. The adrenaline that was pumping through his veins only served to numb the pain slightly. He feared the moment that he no longer had that small blessing

He looked up in time to see Sayren run past him and to their fallen teacher. Savio blinked in surprise, his mind finally sorting its self out of the Fight or Flight mind set. He could feel his hands shaking slightly, he assumed it was an after effect of the fight as he struggled to his feet. His legs felt like jelly but he managed to limp over to Say and Xi, if only to kneel down once more to check on the larger man.

The color was turning back to its original state as Ximal breathed in more and more air. The man looked like he wouldn’t be able to stand. Savio moved himself to Ximal’s other side and helped Sayren lift the giant up. Savio groaned with the weight of the man.

With much difficultly, Savio and Sayren dragged the half unconscious man back to his bedroom. They laid him on his bed and cleaned him up the best they could. Once that was done and the students were sure that Ximal would be okay if left alone, they left his bedroom and went to go wash up themselves. It wasn’t until later that evening, when Savio was getting into his bed that a thought occurred to him.

Who won?
