Open Beginnings of a new life

[Serenity Redbird]

16th day of summer in 513 at the second bell.

Serenity has just arrived on the docks, a bit naucious from the ride as she has never been on a ferry before. Serenity did well, at least she didnt throw up. She steps off the ferry and out into the crouded peir, as she slowly makes her way towards the land. Her gray eyes looking at the new wonderments that she has not seen. Serenity is terrified as her eyes look around everywhere trying to take in the crowds. Her red hair falls over her eyes as she tries to make her way through all the people getting gosled around in the crowds.

She hears people yelling about things missing, the smell of fish and dirt surrounds her, Serenity keeps her eyes up as she makes her way forward. A few street kids run around her and off into the crowds. She meets eyes with very few people as she is afraid they might notice that her eyes are not exactly quite right, or possibly they might see the scar that crosses her face.

Serenity travels a bit farther as a few more kids run past her being chased by a large man who runs into her knocking all of her possesssions from her arms. She hurriedly falls to her knees and starts gathering them, brushing some of the items off she wraps them in her cloke for safe keeping incase it were to happen again, she can not bare it if she were to lose thependent her mother left her before her passing.

As Serenity stands up again she brushes herself off making sure to keep most of her scars hidden and out of the plain view of others. Serenity bites her lip from nervous habit as she sees some older males who are obvioulsy drunk on something make their way towards her. In a hasty retreat she turns on her heels and starts tp walk as quickly as she can through the crowds.

Serenity ends up in an ally as she looks around even more scared now, but not wanting to let the real her show she turns around again only this time to be confronted by four large men walking directly towards her.

[Kyodaija]

It was another day of training for Kyo, the heist was going to be tomorrow so he needed to be in top form. He picked his way through the city streets, jogging and sprinting, occasionally stopping for some shadow boxing, until he reached a strange sight tucked away in one of the alleys he passed by nearly daily whilst running about the city.

A very traumatized looking woman who appeared frail and weak stood at the end of the alley, with 4 large brutish looking men. She did not appear to appreciate the company. Not that it was any of Kyo's business... He watched as the men approached the girl making stupid drunk whistling sounds, one of them even going so far as to bark at the girl.

Kyo normally didn't do anything one might consider heroic, but 4 drunken brutes harassing a poor maid in an alleyway... How could he not take the opportunity to get into a nice savage brawl that could easily be passed off as *self defense*.

Kyo chuckled lightly licking his lips as he approached the men. Maybe one of the men didn't stink of fish and would make a half decent meal?
