Flashback The Innocence of Youth (Raven/Wade/Savio)

[Wade]

Wade giggled when he saw the acrobat so perfectly evade around the woman. No matter what she seemed to do, whether it be a quick charge or a powerful lunge, he managed to smoothly evade it while keeping his balance. Wade mimicked the man's dodges after he did them, evading pretend pursuers. He came up on his toes as he barely escaped a drive-by by an imaginary Raven. Imaginary Raven dove at him, but Wade was too quick because of a smooth spin to his right.

An arm wrapped around Wade and lifted him up, suddenly, and Wade wondered how someone managed to catch him unawares! Wade found himself looking at the back of... the acrobat! Of course, only an acrobat could catch him when he was using the skills of an acrobat.

Wade laughed as he looked back at Raven chasing them. The acrobat was still running, seemingly as strong as even Wade's father. From his new perch the big girl seemed not so big at all. Still, Wade tensed when she threatened that she was going to catch him. He stuck his tongue out as he felt secure that the acrobat could never be caught by one not skilled in the arts of dodging and evading.

[Savio]

It was becoming quickly evident that Savio was losing energy. His breathing was becoming labored and his steps not so graceful. By Tavasi, this kid is heavy! Savio thought to himself as he reached the fence and struggled over it with the new weight on his shoulders. But alas, his luck and energy had run out. His foot caught on the top board of the fence and he fell over. At least he had enough energy to roll his body so that he didn’t fall on the kid as he hit the ground; Wade was lying flat on his elder’s chest.

Savio panted as he gently eased the boy off of him, but despite his goof up he was still laughing, his arm wiping his forehead free of sweat as he attempted to catch his breath. He then looked at Wade and dramatically called out “Run! Save yourself!” But Savio couldn’t keep a straight face, and only laughed harder… Or at least as hard as his breathing would allow him to.
