Sayren couldn't help but smile at how inquisitive the guy was. She kept wanting to think he was a boy due to his height, though the beard always redirected his age to older than her. He had asked about Ximal's test. He wasn't sure if it was just to teach those who already know or if its just the teacher sizing up the student before proceeding. "He wants to make sure that you are good. That you aren't there just because your parents thrusted it upon you. Or because you want to show up some boy or girl. He wants to know that you want it bad. His test is a quick sparring match with him for about five chimes. Even though I, myself, was unsuccessful. I still managed to become a student of his because I kept on trying to fight. Even after he stunned all of my limbs."

She giggled when Seryk gulped about Garel possibly reacting if the young man tried to pull anything on Sayren. He apparently had a brain in his head. You know, the one on his shoulders at least. Then he went on talking about The Bubbling Pot Eating House. She did her best to hide a giggle. She was surprised. She worked there as well and knew all about Rose. However, she was curious to know how this man had reacted to the woman. He was pretty fair about her, she was a tough person at first. But in the end, its only because she wants you to work for the mizas you get paid for. Nothing is given freely, only earned. Which was one of the seven laws of the Drykas. It was how she earned her marks. They weren't passed down because she wanted it. It was because she had wanted it and had done the task to earn them. She EARNED the right to bear the marks.

After he finished up, he asked her about what all did she do. Aside from riding her strider her around Nyka and learning from the school. "Well...oddly enough, I work at the Bubbling Pot too. Rose is an amazing person. Sure she gets onto you if you are just lounging about. Its mainly why so many people get moved out of there within a few days time. Why do so many people think just standing still earns money? How can you get anything accomplished like that? I did not have those luxuries back home in Endrykas. So it didn't take me long to start learning how to cook under Rose. Till I get swatted with a wooden table spoon!" She trailed that one off with a laugh as Garel started to slow down in front of the stables. "I guess we are here then. Which one is yours?" Looking out at the horses. Curious to see which one had considered himself, or her, as his partner. Some times normal people tend to misname their partners. Not that its really their fault she could guess. You'd think they'd at least check the horse's anatomy first.
