"Oh well, most of the time I'm hunting. I'm a hunter heh. I go to the Inclement Weather some too. I'm surprised I haven't seen you there before. Let's see...other times I practice my guitar and singing, and sometimes I just come to the Bay when I have the time."

Alori still remembered the fun times they had at the dance club, and now that they were reunited, the teen intended to do it all again. Euthisa may have been a book worm, but she knew how to let loose when the right time came. Standing at the entrance to the Bay, Alori looked out at the many places stationed there. She was mildly surprised at how different the place appeared from day until night. The atmosphere was completely different and the dark waters gave the place a bit of an eerie glow at night.

With her backpack on her shoulders, Alori started to slowly walk, looking to Euthisa as she went. "Okay so..maybe I should give you a tour, yea?" Smiling she turned away and started to point out places as they went.

"There's the market there, it's not as much as it is in the city, but they some times have exotic stuffs to buy. Over there is the Coastal Clam, that's the restaurant I was talking about. That shop there is for fishing, oh and the docks is down that way, and we could rent a boat and go out onto the waters if you fish?"

The little Avora wasn't sure if her friend fished or not, or if she'd rather just swim, but she figured she'd ask just in case. "That place there is the wilderness Lodge. Guy is supposed to be really good with the area and knows the terrain. You know, if you wanted to go hicking or something, he would be the one to see."

Euthisa listened carefully as the young woman explained her usual activities. She seemed like such a busy girl, Euthisa feeling a mild bit of shame at her own lack of activity. Other than going about her duties in the Enclave, Euthisa didn't often participate in much else. She was rather bland and boring in comparison to her young companion. She would have to do well to change that.

The girls arrived at the Bay, paying the kind gentleman for their ride as Alori explained what sort of activities lay waiting there. The girls walked along, Euthisa making sure to note each location the girl spoke of, bookworm mindset taking a backseat to the rugged outdoors the librarian suddenly found herself thrust into. "Wow. There really is a lot to do here. Afraid the last of my coin just went to the wagon driver, so we may have to save the restaurant for another visit. That is, if you're willing to come back with me after today, haha."

The Chiet momentarily pondered either swimming or fishing with Alori, deciding that if either sounded tempting, it was that of swimming. "Swimming sounds good, rather than fishing, but perhaps on our way back? That way we're not walking around soaking wet!"] Smiling at her new friend, she continued, hooking her arm through the girl's, and hoping she didn't mind. "Where would you like to begin?"

Alori smiled to her friend and hooked arms with her. Euthisa had always been taller than her, but now she was even more so. Leaning her head on the woman's shoulder Alori led the way. " After all this talk of food. Now you wanna try it next time? It's fine, I'll pay for the meals." Talk of food had gotten her hungry suddenly and she couldn't wait for another visit.

"So, lets eat."

The Coastal Clam was as busy and lively as it usually was, but Alori wouldn't know one way or the other. She stepped inside still arm in arm with Euthisa. The smell of fresh sea food filled the air and contributed to the growling inside her belly. Finding a boot, Alori sat down and looked over the menu.

"So, you see anything you like? The Shellfish Delight looks good. I love shellfish."

It was turning out to be a better trip than she had thought. Having her good friend along made it even better. What once had started out as a trip to relax had turned into an outdoor adventure. "Maybe a salad? Oh the Skygoat Curry looks good too." It didn't matter to her what they ate, or how much Euthisa wanted to try, Alori was just enjoying her time.

The dainty Avora led her to the restaurant anyway, declaring she'd buy their food, much to Euthisa's blushing embarrassment. She just met this girl, and she was already paying for things for her. That either demonstrated her kind heartedness, or Euthisa's lack of efficiency in life, or perhaps a mixture of both. The little Avora was persistent though, dragging Euthisa with her as she went inside and found them a booth. The smells of fresh and cooking seafood tantalized Euthisa's senses, and suddenly she found herself starving. Agreeing to let her new friend accommodate her, she looked over the menu. It all looked so wonderful! She'd definitely have to put aside pinions at her earliest convenience to spend here trying everything.

Absent mindedly biting her lip as she contemplated, the Chiet tried to search through the fog that was her hunger and determine what she wanted. She agreed with Alori that the Shellfish Delight sounded great, and Euthisa's heard splendid reviews of the dish from other Inartans, but she wanted to be different. She dared to stand out, or at least apart, from her people just as often as she stood with them and blended in. It depended entirely on the situation at hand, whether the Chiet would blend herself to the crowd, as much as she could anyway with her deeper hair color and inked flesh, or if she would boldly stand aside. Reaching her decision as the waiter came to retrieve their order, she looked to her friend to see if she'd chosen her dish.

A kind and welcoming woman, the waitress asked for their decisions. Smiling, Euthisa spoke for the girls, hoping she wouldn't be wrong for doing so. "Hello there ma'am. I'll have the Salad of the Sea, and my wonderful friend here will have the Shellfish Delight, I think... Alori?"

"Right, oh and..let us have..." She paused a moment in thought. They needed something to drink, but the place didn't seem to sell fruit type drinks. Alori remembered those seasons ago at the club that Euthisa liked those types. There was water and wine to drink, and she figured no one came to the bay for water. "Bring us a bottle of fine vine too."

Alori smiled brightly, a warm feeling washing her body as she glanced at her long time friend. She hadn't gotten her life back the way she wanted, but it was a fresh start and some of the things of old were still around and that made her smile. "Oh, don't worry about the wine. I can afford it." she said with a wink towards the woman. Ten pinions for wine did seem expensive, but the teen did like to spend big at times.

The waitress took off to have their orders made, leaving the two girls to chat amongst themselves. Alori looked out the window where she found a picturesque view of the oceans beyond the beached lands. "It's really beautiful." She remembered when she had visited the shore with Vaas many seasons ago, and how much fun it was to just go out and be herself. In many ways, on a lot of days, the teen had felt like a worker bee. Having no other purpose other than to do her job.

But on that day, she felt different, she felt alive and a part of something beautiful and not just another dek in the tow line. Her cheeks burned bright when she thought about it, in truth, she had carried for him a great deal. A sudden grumble in her stomach caused her to turn away and she smiled nervously. "Gods I must be really hungry. So..Euthisa, what's the word in the Enclave?"

Much to Euthisa's relief, Alori agreed with the order, and furthered it by ordering a bottle of wine for them to share. Euthisa's face must have given her surprise away, for Alori soothed her by saying she could afford it. This young huntress was doing well for herself. Euthisa smiled warmly at her. She enjoyed this woman's company, bringing her back to the old days of when she spent her free time with Aela, Vaas, and Sira. She'd loved all of them as close friends, and in a way, they were like family to her. And she could no longer remember what happened, but they'd all parted their ways, from her at least, for she couldn't say if they'd parted from each other as well. Sadly, Euthisa'd grown accustomed to the disappearance of friends. It happened first with Avon, then with Aela, Vaas, and Sira, a few acquaintances that she'd made never furthered into friendships, then Hess loved her and left her, and she hadn't seen or heard from Kovac in weeks either. Perhaps this friend would stay...

Bringing her attention back to the present, Euthisa followed Alori's wandering gaze towards the oceans, really taking them in for the first time. The huntress spoke the very thing Euthisa was thinking just then, bringing forth a wider smile and chuckle from the Chiet. Her voice somber and soothed, she replied. "Yeah, it is absolutely beautiful out there. I feel a bit ashamed for never having visited here before now. I guess I just get caught up in working and doing my own thing. I just never thought about it. I should get out more, ya know?" Alori then mentioned being hungry, causing Euthisa's stomach to churn with appetite as well. "The Enclave is, well, the Enclave. It has its' ups and its' downs. It's usually pretty quiet in there, which I like, but we have our busy days too. Getting ready for Fall. It'll be busy then, preparing for Winter and such."

The waitress returned then with a bottle of wine, pouring the first glass for the girls before heading off to take care of other business. Euthisa raised her glass, toasting to Alori before taking a few sips. "To new friendships and new experiences!" The liquid slid down her throat easily, surprising Euthisa with it's mildly sweet flavor. She'd expected it to be tarter than that, but was grateful for how it was made. It warmed and tingled her belly, temporarily satiating her hunger as they waited for their food. "How's the hunting scene out there Alori?"

"I know, I know..it's wonderful. I can't believe I let so much time pass before I came back here." Thunder Bay was only open for three seasons and the spring and summer were the best times to visit. Hunters with bigger kills would bring them down for the deks to process, but it was rare that Alori hunted anything that size so she never ventured that way until she made plans to.

The teen bit her lip and slumped back into her seat as she listened to Euthisa talk about her job. It sounded boring, and deadly so. Alori couldn't imagine being stuck in a room all day with old books, or whatever else it was that they did there. "Yea...wow. You must be bored there? Does any cute guys stop by? Any work with you?" It was only a matter of time before she started up. The tiny Avora remembered that Euthisa was a bit of a flirt when it came to guys, and she figured that the woman had a guy..or two. "I could come by sometimes and keep you awake if you want?"

She could see the woman sitting at her desk alone and falling sleep. Alori knew the job had importance, but it still sounded more like a punishment. But, it was better than being a dek at least. The waitress returned with the vine and glasses and the girls were ready to party. She raised her glass and toasted with her long time friend in celebration of their reunion. It felt great to see her again, and spending time the way they used to. "New friends and wild times!" Like a sailor, the teen drank it down, showing that she knew nothing more about wine as she did about alcohol.

"Heh, it' tingles. you feel it?" she added with a giggle. Once she had polished off the glass, she sat back and huffed at the question she was asked. "It's...slow. It gets worse now, and when fall comes, it's going to be worse." Several chimes later the waitress returned with their meals, two plates of freshly cooked, steaming meals. "Let's eat, I'm starving."

Euthisa laughed aloud when Alori started in about her job being boring and asking about guys. She supposed her job did have its moments of plainness and lack of, really anything, but she was usually occupied enough with something to keep her mind off it and it wasn't so bad. As for boys, she was usually too occupied to notice them too, though on the rare occasion, she did spot a few here and there. "It does get boring sometimes, but I'm usually kept busy with something to pass the time by. Even when it's near empty in there, there's still something that needs copying or a book that needs repaired, or shelves to dust off. Something almost always. As for boys, well I'm usually either too occupied to bother noticing, or on the occasion that I have seen a few, it hasn't mattered. I'm not active in our community, just in the Enclave, and on the occasion, Inclement Weather." She shrugged. Things like that weren't important to her as much as most people. "I would never discourage a visit though!"

Alori giggled at the tingle of the wine in her belly, showing her youth and bringing an adoring smile to Euthisa's lips. She really was drawn to this young girl, and the wind in the feathers was that they got along so well. They acted as if they'd been friends forever, and the feeling was comforting to Euthisa. It'd been some time since she'd felt so naturally affiliated to someone, and that was Aela so many seasons ago. The similarities between how the two had become friends then and how she and Alori were becoming friends now were baffling, but Euthisa once again squandered such strange thoughts, even if she experienced a sense of deja vu from them. Just a moment later, the waitress served their dishes to them, hot and steamy, and smelling like something the girls would dream of at night. Euthisa's tummy instantly grumbled and moaned in anticipation, as her mouth watered in response to the scent of the delicious food in front of her. She thanked the waitress and as she left, already took a bite of her dish, goofy grin on her face in delight. "Oh! This is so good! How's yours?"

"I'll come by. Can't have you stuck there all the time bored to death. We can make it fun right?" She could tell by the woman's words that she had been missing a male in her life, and it seemed that the search wasn't going so well. Alori could relate, she hadn't gotten lucky either...ever. "So forget boys, we can make it a girl's thing."

The food was good and washing it down with wine made it all the more tasty. Alori tried not to stuff too much into her mouth, but it was all so good. She smiled to her friend, nodded that the meal was good. It was times like this that she realized just how much she missed rich meals, to all the time she spent eating rations and small portions in the city.

"So, do you read any good books? Anything interesting that you like? I want to find a song book if I can. I'm sure that would help me better when I'm trying to write. Maybe if I learn other songs first I can use that to make my own, you know?" She ate more and drank wine to help it go down, and could only hope the woman didn't think her a pig.

"So," she started again, trying to keep the conversation alive. "Have you ever been to the Lost Sense?" I hear it's like..really intense." She didn't think the woman had been, but she had no way of knowing.

Euthisa smiled and giggled at her new friend, so full of energy and enthusiasm. She was adorable to say the least, and Euthisa became more and more happy to have met her with each passing moment she spent with the girl. She ate her food in large but appropriately sized bites, resisting the urge to just stuff her mouth and practically swallow her meal whole. She wasn't able to eat nice meals like this herself or on the regular. This was her first time to Thunder Bay, and besides a spontaneous trip to Katshika Falls, she'd never stepped foot outside the city, and so her entire life consisted of rationed meals. And almost always, this was more than satisfactory for the Librarian. However, that was because she'd never had anything but. Now that she had, it would be hard to go back to rationed meals without some dissatisfaction. She'd have to make a point to come here more often, in the future.

The wine continued to slip between her lips without protest, from her tastebuds or her stomach, surprisingly tolerant of the substance despite Euthisa not regularly partaking in drinking. Perhaps her body was just super adaptable. Perhaps her father had been a drinker. She didn't know him to be able to know. She didn't care much either. He split after discovering her mother was pregnant and that's all there was to it. Being the strong independent woman her mother had been, she never spoke of the incident or showed any signs that she even wished he'd stuck around. Euthisa was her special blessing and she was happy with that.

Snapping back to the present, Euthisa caught the tale end of all Alori had said to her, something about good books and music books, followed by asking about a place Euthisa was unfamiliar with. "I've read a few good ones here and there, though I can't recall any titles off the top of my head, but I don't get to relax and read as much as you'd think. I may spend the majority of my time in the library, but I'm usually either helping patrons, managing books, or repairing books. And a music book would be just the thing you need. Come on by when you have time and we'll see what we can find for you." Euthisa paused a moment, finishing her glass of wine and downing another portion of her meal. "What's the Lost Sense? This may be silly, but I've entirely unfamiliar with what it even is." The librarian smiled sheepishly. She really did need to get out more.
