A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Just another day of training (Irriari)

20th Day of Summer 513 A.V

It was a normal day like any other for Kyo. Still being scarcely employed at the moment Kyo was out on another training excursion. The only thing he could do to suppress his boredom at the moment.

He sorely wished to buy himself some proper training equipment like he had back home bur for now he had no choice but to make do with his environment. Coming to the slightly used and abandoned portion of the docks, as far as he could tell since it was the only place so far he hadn't been shooed away from by somebody claiming the dock as their own.

He found the wooden overhead beam that he had been frequently doing some pull ups with, left derelict with a rusty old lantern hanging above unlit and unused for quite some time.

He got into his practiced fighting pose for boxing, and began shadowboxing in sets of 30 minutes with 5 minute breaks. Imagining his would be foes ducking and weaving past his blows, while aiming for the places they left unguarded for the striking. Even in his head he could tell he was novice as of yet, though ridiculously strong. It amounted to nothing if he couldn't hit anybody.

He did this for several chimes before beginning to do some pull ups on the parallel wooden beam above him, thinking up all the while new moves to employ while boxing.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw something to his side. Leaping down onto the dock below he readied himself in a somewhat cautious stance facing the direction the form in the shadows was.

Just another day of training (Irriari)

Irriari gritted her teeth against the sun and did her best not to push her claws into the soft flesh of her palms. It would hardly do to mangle them, when her time was regulated to poisoncrafting and classes at the IHL. The zith glanced mournfully at the sky, missing her time in the Wildlands. While her short trip with Torrel was refreshing, the attack by the wolves had soured the joy she had felt at being able to spread her wings. Vowing to go back to the wilds soon, the zith continued moving forward on her meandering path through the docks. After a few seasons in Ravok, she had become familiar with the area, and tended to spend her time outdoors within the docks.

After a bell, Irriari had made her way to the edges of the docks where the larger ships packed their cargo and prepared for journeys across the lake. The area was far quieter than the bustling Plaza of Dark Delights. The zith paused, content to stretch her arms outward to her sides while she surveyed the area. Humans filled the area like rats in a tunnel, and true to their form, they scurried from place to place, moving boxes and doing whatever it was that humans did. Ignoring them, Irriari focused on one that was doing some form of exercise on an unoccupied dock. He spent a small chunk of time fighting an invisible enemy before switching his routine to work on upper body strength. The second part of his training interested Irriari far more than the first, as most zith couldn’t perform such a maneuver without injuring their clawed hands. Upper body strength was built by flying long distances and fighting with heavy weaponry that was crafted for zith hands.

After a few chimes of watching the man train from a distance, Irriari decided to approach him. It was rare to see anything close to a warrior when one spent so much time around the scholars at the Institute. The zith walked slowly towards him, hesitant to spook someone that was training. True to form, her greeting was far from polite.

“Do you truly think that fighting an invisible form of a man will help you in a fight? What would you do if you fought one of my kind, human? Are you preparing for claws that could rip you to shreds? What about attacks from the air?”

She smiled, waiting for a response for the question that she doubted he would have a sufficient answer to.

Just another day of training (Irriari)

Postby Kyodaija on August 2nd, 2013, 9:19 pm

Kyo heard than the not so human voice of a strange winged woman standing before him. She was lithe and deadly looking, sporting naturally clawed hands and feat and a large pair of wings *could she fly?* surely such a thing was preposterous and they were meant for show. He could tell after another moment that she was not a human in some disguise but some kind of bat woman. A being closer to a beast such as himself.

She called out to him. “Do you truly think that fighting an invisible form of a man will help you in a fight? What would you do if you fought one of my kind, human? Are you preparing for claws that could rip you to shreds? What about attacks from the air?”

Kyo laughed at the threat, always liking when conversations lead in the direction of a fight as apposed to stupid idle pleasantries. He looked her square in the eyes and said to her "You ssstand before sssomething more than a man missssy..." He posed a moment to note her reaction to his accent. He had encountered several people whom had the knowledge of his dying race but was unaware just how common it was to here a serpentine accent like his...

"Your form isss truly that of a predator" walking toward her as he spoke, "But truly it isss a frail form, meant to pessster your victim to death much lessss kill him with" eyeballing her claws "*Those*" He continued saying "I am a predator of Ssstrength! and Might!" He began to circle her impatiently, waiting to provoke her into combat. "My fangsss would not even be necesssssary to dessstroy your frail bonesss!"

He stood squarely facing her again proclaiming loudly "I AM DAHNI!"

He began then to transform into his mighty Dahni form, his body twisting and bulging disgustingly revealing his true nature as a snake man. His bronze skin melded into bronze scales sporting several black streaks of color and almost as numerous scars. His bulging body bulked even further as his legs twisted about one another forming his massive tail. until the dock they stood on visibly lurched and moaned now holding the massive form of Kyo on top of it.

He puffed out his chest proudly and with a massive heave released a screeching hiss like roar of challenge. Patiently waiting now to see this woman whom had interrupted him so rudely react to this development.

He hoped she chose to do battle, it would be much more entertaining then training....
