Appearance
Race: Vantha
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Birthday: 17 of Spring, 488 AV
Birthplace: Avanthal
Aesthetic: Somewhat small by Vantha standards, Kirsi stands only 4'10" tall, and weighs less than 100 lbs. Upon seeing her, the first thing that comes to mind is 'Vantha'. Kirsi has ebony hair that shimmers with subtle blue-green highlights, golden skin and eyes that can never make up their mind. From laughing, brilliant blues to somber, deep greys... Kirsi's eyes give away every secret emotion she might have. Once you are familiar with the colors, you really can tell her mood from a glance - her words may lie, but her eyes give her away every time.
Eyes:
Violet - amused, happy
Green - nervous, uncertain
Golden - surprised, shocked
Brown - angry
Gray - sad, lonely, melancholy
Yellow/Orange - embarrassed
Dark Blue - focused, attentive
Light Green/Yellow - concerned, scared
Gnosis:
Ice Reaving - Level 1: Taking the shape of a small snowflake, located at the base of Kirsi's skull, generally hidden by a fall of dark and shimmering hair.
Character Concept
Likes: Learning (specifically of new religions), sweet foods, independence, music
Dislikes: Being alone, insects, violence, confrontation
Strengths: Open-minded, optimistic, friendly
Weaknesses: Over-rationalizes, stubborn, too trusting, overconfident
Personal Philosophy: "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." Kirsi is (too) willing to forgive and forget when someone has wronged her. Though this has resulted in being burned more than once (or twice or three times), she firmly believes that kindness and forgiveness beget more kindness and forgiveness and the whole world is better for it.
Character History
The Wild Child
Born an only child, to older parents, Kirsi was admittedly a bit spoiled. This was not unusual in the Winterflame Hold, however; indeed, it was not unusual anywhere in Avanthal. The extreme tolerance she grew up with afforded Kirsi (and a rambunctious pack of her peers) every opportunity to run amok, and they reveled in it. But a little good-natured chaos never hurt anyone, and so it was with Kirsi.
The Carefree Adolescent
A few years spent enjoying the freedom of the Hold saw Kirsi competing in everything from footraces to storytelling. While she only occasionally came out on top, she enjoyed the spirit of camaraderie and bonding over shared interests. When the competitions were over, and everyone was too busy laughing to remember who had won or even what the prize may have been, Kirsi was the charming and laughing center of attention once more. Her winsome personality gained her many friends, and she cherished the relationships.
The Unintentional Icemaiden
As Kirsi and her companions grew older, their interests turned to more adult themes. Despite watching her friends pair off, and having her own share of perfectly adequate flirtations, Kirsi felt no pressure to settle down herself. Her parents, though they did wish their only daughter would find a young man of her own, pressed her only a little. As a result, before she realized it, Kirsi had reached her 20th birthday and found herself still unattached. So, when her waiting turned into a status she hadn't anticipated or desired, Kirsi began to think that maybe her future lay outside of Avanthal. From that day on, she began to question every visitor to the Hold, seeking information on new lands, new religions, and new ways of life. Settling on Riverfall as her ultimate destination, Kirsi spent no small amount securing passage to the rocky city. Hope and excitement fill her as she sets out on the biggest adventure of her life... So far.
