Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

The Drykas was adorable… really she was. Rinya buried her face in her hands and shook her head, trying desperately not to laugh at her. The girl was bound to get the wrong idea and get offended again, but really she couldn’t help it. And the fact that the girl was almost worried about an Akalak dragging her off was a little endearing.
But Rinya did as the girl asked; sliding her body back into the water. Rinya couldn’t stop the grin on her face, raising a brow slightly at the girl in a simple question.
”You do realize that the water is clear yes? I’m sure they can still see everything just fine regardless. Akalak are not barbarians though, they are not likely to drag either one of us off just to mate. Though technically they could go to the Elders and request for me in the very least. But I would go to Rhys first before anyone else. Petching smart mouth thinks I owe him one already.” Shrugging slightly, Rinya wasn’t too worried about Akalak in general. Shaking her head slightly, she realized she was rambling and the Drykas probably didn’t care much anyways. The fact she gave away not only her race, but her age didn't come to mind either. What was the girl likely to do about it anyway?
”And if you must know, yes I am part bird—or rather whole bird... I guess that just depends on how you look at it. Had a bad experience with a cat when I was a year old… granted that was two years ago, but my age regardless I will always be weary of bigger predators, especially cats. It would be foolish to completely ignore my instincts. They keep me alive after all.” Rinya pulled her knees to her chest, watching the girl braid her hair.
”And what, may I ask, could I possibly get from you… or your cat sitting here in a pool completely naked? I never said I liked you either for the record. But you are not the worst company in the world. Very few females I’ve met can carry any sort of real conversation, much less argue intelligently.” |
