42nd Day of Winter, 507AV

The fourth teir of Stormhold Castle was cold but slightly warmer than the snowy outdoors that winter evening. People walked slower than usual around the Grand Bazaar, huddled into they're coats and cloaks as they tried to find the things they needed. The sun was begining to set and There were small fires built around the entrance of the bazaar that were made by consumers and shop keepers to keep warm through out the day. Carvezia sat on an empty crate tucked away into a corner and out of everyones path. The 15 year-old-girl had her arms crossed tightly in attempt to keep her body warmer and was shivering from head to toe. The only thing keeping her warm was the heavy grey cloak that was hardly making a difference.

Carvezia was not comfortable in the cold but didn't have a choice considering that she had no money, job or even a home. It had only been two days since Carvezia's mother had kicked her out into the streets of Sylirias and she had already run out of mizas from her last few thefts within those days. The girl sat deep in thought, not about where she will sleep that night, but about how her mother had forced her to leave the only home she has ever known. She knew her mother was stubborn and would not forgive easily or at all for that matter.

Carvezia thought about her brother, he would always protect her from they're mothers harsh reactions and punishments but he moved to Yahebah to devote his life to Yahal. This made Carvezia quickly realize that it had been weeks since she had made a prayer to her deity. She decided now would be the best time to; but not for what she needs but for what she has done and what she will do again, for Carvezia knew she deserved this in the eyes of Yahal and understands that without prayer comes consequences. This may be superstition or ignorance to others but Carvezia strongly beleived it. So she gets off of the crate though struggles as if she had been frozen to it but after sitting in the cold for so long her entire body felt numb. She stretches her arms and rolls her shoulders to get feeling in them and then begins to pray. Begging Yahal for forgiveness, asking him for direction and apoligizing for her future crimes were the only things she had mentioned in her prayer. She didn't beg for mercy or ask for a cottage with silk bedding and a whore for she understands that what she had done was wrong and she will have to suffer the consequences.

After her prayer Carvezia had to do the only thing that she knew she could, she threw the hood of her cloak over her head which left a dark shadow over face and began looking for someone to steal from. She had her arms tucked in tightly as a million things rushed through her mind. She was more nervous than ever as she slowly walked through the Grand Bazaar examining each and every person. Her goal was to find someone weak and clumsy that wouldn't catch her rummaging through they're pockets or harm her if they did. Carvezia's ideal victim was an elderly woman hardly able to walk through the large crowds and though she knew the guilt would haunt her, atleast she would be sleeping in a warm bed. Carvezia had walked around the bazaar for many chimes witnessing a large amount of Sylirian knights patroling for people like her self.

Carvezia finally sees her victim, a very large man with a rough beard and short hair cut. He was extremely overweight and dressed nicely; this led the teenage girl to beleive he was a noble or owned a bussiness, but either way very wealthy. This was the only thing that had attracted her to steal from him, regardless of his size or awareness she was blinded by all of the Mizas the man had to be carrying. Carvezia followed him closely and examined his actions even closer. From stall to stall the man went as the girl followed as she attempted to look as inconspicus as possible. She quickly learned that the velvet bag under tied to his belt by only a thin string was where he kept his mizas. Of course his coat was covering it which would make it a little harder to get to.

The man stopped at a stall to examine fruit and Carvezia stood next to him doing the same, of course with her victim in the corner of her eye. Carvezia new this was the moment as her adrenaline began to rush, her arms and legs were shaking and her teeth clinched tight. She dropped the fruit and quickly slid her hand under the mans coat, trying to feel for the bag and the second her hand was on it, the girl gripped tight and pulled the bag hard as she tried to run. Carvezia was instantly pulled back by the bag though; she looked back to only see the angry man pulling the other side of it. Out of fear, Carvezia yanked as hard as she could ripping the bag in half and throwning mizas of all kind through the air. Carvezia fell to the ground with only a hand full of mizas. She glanced at the man's upset expression before rolling to her knees and sprinting through the crowd. "Theif!" the man yelled as he stood hopeless. Carvezia looks out to the crowd only to see a Sylirian knight holding a sword above his head to avoid cutting anyone in the crowd as he was moving quickly in her direction. The girl couldn't see her self out running him and impulsively dives over a stall, landing hard on her shoulder. Carvezia crawls desperately under the stalls with the intentions to remain hidden from the Sylirian knight until he searches elsewhere. The knight was confused and begins questioning people as Carvezia climbs back to her feet and walks quickly through the crowd, looking around for more pursuers.

Finally making it all the way out to the snow covered harbor while looking over her shoulder, Carvezia was sure she was safe there. She entered the Broken Coffin still shooken up by the events that have just occured and quickly walks up to the counter."Food, drink and a bed is all i need. Just dont tell anyone you saw me" Carvezia says with a nervous tone as she slides all of the mizas she stole across the counter. The elderly bearded man counts 9 gold mizas, 4 silver mizas and 6 copper mizas outloud. The man then says "fair enough, a mug of wine, a tray of fish and a room. Ive never seen you in my entire life" in a soft but affirmative tone, assuming that the girl was avoiding an ex-boyfriend or something of that nature.

Carvezia just now feeling the pain in her shoulder as the man prepares her food and drink. She knows in her heart that this was Yahal punishing her for the bad deed she has done and yet again, she only accepts her punishment. Carvezia sits on the stool in front of her awaiting her meal but deep in thought. Paranoid about the Sylirian Knights finding her, considering her death would be her only punishment. She is now starting to regret giving the bearded man all of the mizas that she did. After the incident that just took place she would much rather stay in the safety of the tavern forever than enter the streets again. The man returned laying a tray of fish and a mug of wine in front of her. Carvezia had just noticed that this was the first meal that she had all day and she could hardly even eat it from all of the stress on her mind, but atleast she isn't dead.
