34th Day of Summer 2013
Gian simply stopped and gazed up, down, ahead, behind--anywhere and everywhere. Volumes of volumes, he thought, a twinge of a smile quirking one corner of his mouth up. Awed, the young man's blue eyes swept once more over the massive shelves, seeking some sort...guide? He frowned, words escaping him. A sign! That was it. He needed to know where to find the books on 8auristics.
There were others in the library, of course, rustling books and papers and pens, occasionally whispering. A little uncertainly the young man made his way over to a desk, where several others--students? professors? neither?--were busily working their ways through several books. They, he reasoned, would likely know where each section was, to have found so many books on a topic they wanted.
"Excuse me." He thought about tapping one on the shoulder, but refrained. One looked over at him. "Where...where ca I find the magic studies? The auristics?" He was directed first with a general wave, seeming to indicate half of the library. Seeing his confusion, the other showed him where he might find more on auristics. Beginning auristics, he hoped. He knew little.
Thanking the scholar, Gian made his way over to the indicated area. The bookshelves towered above him: overwhelmed, he picked one off the shelf almost at random and turned it to see the title.
