There have been a number of updates, improvements and bug fixes. Most importantly, if you have created a character prior to the introduction of racial skill bonuses, you should check the wiki entry for your character's race and give yourself the corresponding bonus. All races get a +10 in one skill, except Humans who get +15 in any skill of their choosing. Remember you can't start with more than 30 in any one skill. If your skill goes over 30 with this addition, feel free to transfer the surplus to another skill!
Finally, I'd like to remind you that our first season shift is scheduled for September 1st, 2009. Remember to start your Summer threads before that data! Soon you'll get three months of Fall to play with.
