Closed Chilled to the Bone (Lixue)

Summer 89, 513 Emmadalor could not remember a time in her life before this moment that she had actually felt cold. Of course she could tell temperature difference, but it was perhaps more accurate to say that cold had never bothered her. but after following her compass and the coast until the coast could not go any farther north, nor any farther away from Abura and the terrible memories she could not seem to escape, she found herself in a blank white landscape. It was poetic in a way. Like a blank sheet of paper, waiting for an artist to fill it with beauty and sorrow. Of course, it was not paper, it was a landscape. Emmadalor usually liked drawing landscapes, but if she tried to draw this one, it wouldn’t keep her occupied for more than a couple chimes. She briefly wondered what it would take to paint a more interesting picture on that blank landscape. Her mind flashed with scarlet lines before an intense shiver shook such artistic thoughts from her mind. She stumbled, her wings faltering and sending her dropping a few feet before she recovered herself. She was feeling rather lethargic, which wasn’t exactly unusual, but it usually didn’t happen while she was flying. She must just have gone too long without seeing something worth drawing. The lack of visual distractions was sapping her energy, leaving her no choice but to be left alone with her thoughts and memories. Just before she sunk into a bottomless despair, she caught sight of some lights in the distance. She managed a half-hearted giggle. What quaint little creatures might be found making merry lights in a frozen wasteland such as this? She flew toward the lights like a beacon, which was good because her vision was starting to narrow. As blackness creeped around the edges of her eyes, it occurred to her that she could no longer feel her fingers, and each wing beat was a greater struggle than the one before. She was almost upon the lights when her vision went entirely dark, and her wings failed her completely. She was unconscious before she hit the ground.

OOC : Lixue never showed up, so I'm just going to summarize what was supposed to happen. This is an "epilogue", because I don't want to leave the thread hanging, but I don't feel like finishing it as a solo Before Emmadalor froze to death, a Vantha found her. She was brought to the Whitevine healing center, but because the Vantha had never handled an Akvatari before, they managed to sprain or possibly break one of her wings. She spent the next couple of days at the healing center, until she had recovered from being nearly frozen to death. Her wing was still unusable, and she had no idea when it would heal, if it ever would.

-Damaged Wing From Fall (Damage can be rectified through physical therapy that must last at least 2 seasons, a permanent ache will be present in the wing after long flights. Because akvatari have butterfly-like wings the wings themselves are quite delicate, thus the damage done is the muscle that causes the wings to move. Care must be taken when flying in the future as exhaustion of that muscle could cause her to fall again and if the wing itself is damaged, irreparable damage will be done.)
-3rd Degree Frostbite (50 Days to Heal)
-Damage to limbs:
-Finger Damage (Lost 3 fingers on the left hand, and 1 on the right
hand, nerves severely damaged so coordination can be
difficult)
-Lower Limb Damage (Very sensitive to the cold now (still less sensitive
than human skin) but managed to save, however
they retained their faintly blue/black hue from
frostbite)
