Timestamp 30th of Summer 513 AV Location: Odds and Ends Odds and Ends ! This wonderful shop of useful items allsorts, near the edge of the Nitrozian Plaza ! Once again Amolina Moletta was there to have a look at a pair of lovely bracelets she was dreaming to buying one day in the future when she felt able to afford them. Now and then there would also be some odd play she could buy and use for acting practice. She headed over the plaza, towards the medium-sized shop with a small, attention-getting storefront. As usual, heavy shuttered windows were open to reveal a myriad of colorful items inside. She stepped in, and glanced briefly at the mountain of a man holding a thick board of wood with iron spikes protruding from one end in his hand, leaning against the wall just inside, next to the door. He never said anything, that man, and the shop’s owner, Gloria, didn’t answer any curious questions about him. Obviously he was some sort of security guard. Or so Amolina hoped. Gloria was usual standing at the small counter against another wall, surrounded by shelves. The short and rather round woman greeted Amolina with a professional pleasant shopkeeper smile. With a nod to Gloria, Amolina started looking around. She was urrounded on all sides by items of all shapes, sizes and colors she started to slowly make her way among the shelves, racks, tables, crates and chests that filled the shop from the floor to the ceiling and wall to wall. Looking at all the countless items she felt a well known feeling of distracted relaxation start to slowly descend on her. She needed distraction. She needed it badly. She had many things to think of , and even more things that felt really good to forget for a bell now and then. A visit to Odds and Ends was a splendid way to escape from reality. Amolina was about to enter the realm of daydreams and speculations that the numerous interesting items in this shop could trigger. After having browsed the shelves for a while she found a big pile of plays written by someone named Marie-Paulette Ascontine. Amolina had never heard about this playwriter, but she felt curious and started reading … 30 chimes later she knew that the pile of Ascontine plays was must have. She felt so inspired that she bought the whole bunch. She tried to hide the exited feeling of having found a treasure, but Gloria was hard to fool and took the opportunity to charge 10 Gold Mizas for what she considered to be a pile of crap not worth the paper it was written on.
